Pros Google Earth Pro è un app gratuita utile per navigare in vari posti, città, contineti per vedere dove sono localizzati i posti, permette di vedere i luoghi, edifici e citta in 3D ed è possibile creare anche tour virtuali e immagini ad alta risoluzione ed è intrgrata bene con i servizi Google. Cons Gli scantaggi sono che forse un po difficilme da utilizzare per chi si trova alle prime armi, richede in pc potente per poterla utilizzare e inoltre alcune immagini non sono aggiornate e necessita di un spazio di memoria abbastanza elevato perché occupa spazio. We can have virtual visits to places where we have never been before. Pros I’m using Google Earth Pro for more than two years. This is easy to download and deploy. Google Earth Pro consists of several key features that are really helpful for spatial analysts and planners to understand a particular location. For example, it provides a street view imagery of most parts of the world and users can have a real feeling about the place. Further, this software is having a facility to generate elevation profiles by adding two points to a path. Currently, some countries are having 3D building facilities too. My very first experience was identifying the locations using the search option. With time, I have used Google Earth Pro for various purposes. As a planner, I’m doing land use and landform mapping to identify hazard-prone locations. In that case, I’m using Google Earth Pro to identify land use categories and their changes using historical imageries. For landform mapping also I’m using this software to identify some physical features like escarpments, ridges, isolated hillocks, and slope types using the terrain option. This supports to import of various types of data formats including ESRI shapefile, Geo TIFF, kml, and images that are commonly used by spatial analysts. Further, this software is integrated with other spatial mapping software like ArcGIS & QGIS. For example, QGIS provides a plugin called ‘Send2GE’, which is linked with Google Earth Pro. Try different layers to have a different perspective of exciting places on the earth. 4. Search any place, creating an exciting animation for you to reach there. 5. In street view, you can see a 360-degree view of the location. 6. This app has a flight simulator, where you can fly f-16 or SR22. 7. You can copy the images or view the location and share by email. 8. With the Movie Maker option, you can record the animation. 9. With historical imagery, you can view a site developing from 1984 to 2022. 10. The search bar instantly takes you to the place with an aerial view at about 700 meters. Cons 1\. Most visuals are unclear, perhaps not provided from the security point of view. Most images are apparent up to 300 meters in height only. 2. The toolbar and menu have several icons and settings that take time to understand. 3. You can also view the sky, Mars, and Moon, but there are hardly any clear images available. 4. Pros Es un excelente programa para visualización de imágenes satelitales practica, con fines practico de estudio e investigación como para fines turístico de conocimiento general. Permite incorporar una serie de imágenes y modelos producto de otros programas para realizar georreferenciaciones. Cons Es un programa que no permite ingresar archivos en formato grid o shapefile, lo que limita un poco los interpolación de archivos entre programas considerando que son los formatos de archivos mas populares.
