Chief of Police Law Enforcement Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great product " July 27, 2022 4.0 I have used several company and have found that CivicEye actually cares about my ability to use their product, and goes out of their way for me to be successful. Pros I love the price first, second I love the ease of use, tied with their customer service. Cons The system is made to be used a certain way but allows you to use it the wrong way as well. I wish areas where you are suppose to search instead of type would block you from typing and give you a reminder to use the search function. Make it more impossible for people to use the product incorrectly. Reason for choosing CivicRMS Price Switched from [Southern Software RMS](https://www.capterra.com/p/103827/Southern-Software-RMS/) Southern Software was to hard to navigate and did not like the layout, very boring. Courtware was a Georgia based program and not truly converted to Tennessee., also expensive to use. We also wanted to be able to bring in a life cad system into our vehicles from dispatch to us. The Customer service experience has got to be the best I have ever experienced from a vendor. Pros CivicEye is one of the most affordable RMS. It is relatively easy to use and a new user can pick up on it relatively quickly. Storing case related documents, photos, and other attachments is a great feature. Cons CivicEye could flow a little smoother, for instance as a primarily US vendor, it certainly would make sense to find a way to have United States on the top of the list and searches could be a little easier, but the cons are few and far between and are absolutely outweighed by the pros. Sheriff Law Enforcement Used the software for: 2+ years ### "CivicRMS Review" August 5, 2022 5.0 We recently began using the evidence component which has made our inventory much more stream line. Chain of Custody forms are automatically generated. CivicRMS is a great product which has infinite uses with the law enforcement profession. Pros I like that the program is windows based and categories are just a mouse click away. Once you learn how to navigate through it, you find it gets easier and easier. Captain Law Enforcement Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Review" August 1, 2022 4.0 There have been some growing pains, and some features are not working or have not been added yet. Our old system had the feature that I wanted but they were difficult use. The new system is lacking several of those features, but the support is by far better. Pros Web based, and the master name is very easy to use Cons Staff maintenance could be better. I would like to be able to see dates of employment, promotions, productivity etc. Year end reports are very important, and required in some cases. I would like to also see an inventory control module at some point. Vehicles, weapons, ammunition, uniforms etc. Reason for choosing CivicRMS Cost, web based, Tennessee company at that time, already in use by the T.B.I. Cons Officer has to locate report and assign vs opening system and having report already assigned to the officer. Discusses this with Civic Eye and they were very receptive to idea.
