Pros Jungle Scout is very simple to use and intuitive, but most of all it is a very powerful tool that helps you find products to sell and effective keywords to use, and my favorite part is that it allows you to find suppliers. Cons The description for error messages needs some enhancing. "Sorry, we couldn't find anything. Try a different search item or check your filters" is a reasonable message but doesn't allow the user to do a deeper dive in to what the issue is or what the possible solutions are. Owner Consumer Goods Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Overall really great, Some Things Could Be Refined" September 15, 2023 4.0 It's honestly been really great, I also didn't really like how the ASIN search for suppliers works, I mean you type in an ASIN and you often get 100,000+ responses, it doesn't really help as much as I thought it would. Because when i first heard how it works in the academy I was like "no way, that's going to help a TON", and it just ended up not helping that much, actually my first product that I am trying to get right now, I just went to alibaba to find it, even though I tried really really hard not to visit that website and only use this tool since I payed for it and wanted my money's-worth, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do i suppose.Every support ticket I have entered has been really helpful except for one that the guy clearly didn't read my support ticket, he like answered questions that had the same keywords as my questions, but it's like he took the keywords and told chatgpt to make a random question with them, and then answered those. But other than that, super super super helpful stuff.Overall, pretty great, probably going to continue my subscription as well, keep up the great work fellas. Pros I liked how easy the academy lessons were to follow along with, and they used real terms that normal people, who literally have no clue what the hell they are doing (myself) can actually follow. It's really a nice change of pace, because there are plenty of extremely well-made, clear, tutorials for selling on amazon out there, but these just click better for whatever reason. Cons When I heard "Jungle Scout has a product research tool that tells you how many people are selling a certain product", me, as a person who knew nothing about anything whatsoever thought "oh good, they can tell me how many people are selling chair cushions", or they can tell me "how many people are selling computer mouses". Well no, it can tell you how many people are selling "Computer mouse 5GA21BV" under the same buy box. Now that i'm a tiny bit more experienced, I see why this probably wouldn't be possible, but to me, I think it could be better relayed to a potential customer that like "hey we can't tell you how many people are trying to sell this type of product in the market, we can only tell you how many people are trying to sell a super specific item within that market, and not only that, if there happens to be multiple different listings for the exact same product, your just going to have to find that out later because the tool actually doesn't help with that a ton unless you just happen to scroll past that too, which you probably wont because you have your product database listing as minimum 300 orders, and 3 extra listings of the exact same product have 299".Again, i'm not saying your tool isn't great, it really is, or even that you could be doing more, because with the tiny bit of experience I do have, I see how that could be pretty dang difficult to make something like that, if even possible at all, but I had to google how to find products on amazon a differentway Alternatives considered [Helium 10](https://www.capterra.com/p/193503/Helium10/) Reason for choosing Jungle Scout 100% honestly I saw a post that said "There's a reason everyone compares tools to junglescout". As soon as I realized what they did, I completely closed out my account. For years I paid separately for Jungle Scout. Not anymore. That's how badly they ruined Fetcher. I won't even pay them for their other software. They completely gutted Fetcher, and jacked up the price for it by 50%. Pros I don't like anything about this software. They were doing fine, they chose to buy another product of which I was a multi year customer of, completely gut it, then jack up the price. They deleted years of financial data, which was incompatible anyways with their new software. They tried to buy me off when I approached with concern. Cons Everything. JS completely ruined Fetcher. They deleted years of financial data, and removed features that made Fetcher worthy of the money I paid them every single month for years. Jungle Scout provides less functionality, and they charge more money. Reason for choosing Jungle Scout I regret giving Jungle Scout every single dollar I gave them for the 5 years I was a customer. The information of monthly/daily sales Cons I didn't like that, for Spain, they don't have the option available of knowing the demand/competition about pets and exotic animals products. I didn't like the interface of JS. VR Verified Reviewer CEO Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Helpful but do not rely on it exclusively" April 12, 2024 4.0 My opinion is not a good reference because I'm a small seller now, but maybe my opinion will change when revenue will grow substantially and give me the opportunity to use the tool at its maximum. Pros Powerful it helps in decision making related to product research and/or SEO. If you manage well the features you can find good selling product with high potential. The options help you to optimize your listing. The academy is very good as well, you can learn valuable things. Cons It's absolutely not a miracle product, you have to do the job upfront to have real accurate data (I'm only speaking for EU market). It seems like the EU data is outdated or overestimate revenues. You have to play with the filters to get something really interesting from it. Same for the SEO, it can cost you a lot of money on ads if you do not pay attention but you only learn it after you made the mistake. Overall JS usability is simple but not easy, require patience more than practice. The price is high even if JS replace virtually multiple software in one main software (the price price point is based on this idea of multiple tools in one SaaS). Pros Out of the 4 or 5 programs I tested before selecting Jungle Scout, I found Jungle Scouts Extension, key word search, sales tracking, inventory management, and review collection software to be the best/ Cons Not able to access some of the functions, like AI, unless I purchase a more expensive membership. Pros JungleScout has helped us go from $0 in sales to $2M in annual sales. I'm not saying we "couldn't" have done it without their tools, but it would certainly have required a lot more work. It is an absolute game changing product. Cons There's a lot of ongoing development (all good stuff), but you need to stay on top of the new developments which requires a fair amount of exploring. We like to see how products are doing and what is product may be good to implement or add to our catalog. We also like to see if our competitors are seeing similar trends that we see or if they are gaining more marketshare from us or whether we are taking more away from them. Pros I like how we can get a general idea of sales of some Amazon ASINS. We know it isn't exact, but we can use it to see how competitor ASINS are doing in relation to ours. Whether it is growing, market share, etc. Cons It isn't necessarily exact. I understand it can't be, but you can't rely on it too much. We track our own sales to see how close it is each month as we track competitors. Sometimes it is within a few percentage points, other times it is off by 50%+. Pros Hi fellow Jungle Scouters, You guys have been terrific over the years! All the features that you have have on your Web App and Extensions are absolutely terrific and unparalleled! I mean you've got Product Research, Suppliers (of the products on Amazon...POWERFUL!), Keyword Scout (Lists, Builder and Tracker), Marketing, Sales Analytics, The Academy, The Market with it's infinite resources of tutors and specialists,....I mean, what's not too like?? It's like handing the business reins over to you and say, go and succeed! No other app or program has such an array of awesome tools at one's disposal! Cons It has a feature that arranges columns in a fashion that cannot be toggled back and forth. What I mean is that when you look at each item in the app, you cannot look at it from left to right, and vice versa. Your obligated to got to the very bottom of the page where the toggle bar only be found, and then choose the info that you are looking for. By the time that you get to the top again, you can easily forget where you were. I don't know about how that works on the cell phone because I never use it on my cell. However, I do know that it is easy to see from the first column to the last column on a laptop because of that round-ball-thingy where the space bar should be. Very convenient! I doubt that after all of this hard work and construction on creating Jungle Scout, that this should not be that complicated an issue.
