### "GoToAssist was great at one point, but there are more inexpensive options"

The product itself works well, easy to use, reliable, but the cost is just too high to keep using it. Especially when their are alternatives out there that have the same functionality but are cheaper.

Pros

When we were using GoToAssist, up to a couple years ago, it was the pinnacle of remote support - you can quickly start a session with a person who had limited technical ability and quickly help them out.

Cons

The cost - GoToAssist started out relatively inexpensive, but then renewal after renewal the subscription prices grew. Citrix originally owned them, I believe, that's who we were paying at the beginning, and then it was spun off to LogMeIn - and that's when the subscription prices really started to rise.

Provides a tool to support customers remotely and transfer large files directly between users.

Pros

File transfer, remote control and access are good features. Remote reboot feature also good. Unattended support is also a great feature if you plan to do remote support.

Cons

Connecting remotely to computers that you have previously connected to either requires updates or uninstalling previous version through Control Panel. Recently this issue has got worse and worse with no resolution for months and now has us looking for different remote support software.

The benefits received from this software were many but the one that was most prevalent was the fact that I could use my Android phone to check on a clients computer or family member's computer and didn't have to use a laptop or pc to use the software.

Pros

What I liked most about this software is the ease of use and the powerful UI based controls when running on your mobile device.

Cons

Honestly, there wasn't much to dislike about this software. Sometimes the software lagged like any other RDP software.

Great program. Would recommend to other companies looking for remote assistance software.

Pros

We use GoToAssist everyday for remote support to our branch offices all over the United States. It works great for us. The ability to remote into any machine we need to and control, monitor or install software/updates makes this software a life saver.

Cons

Better support for mobile devices. We use a lot of iPads out in the field and would love to be able to remote in and grab information or troubleshoot issues for the non technical sales reps.

Pros

The easy way for end users to connect and receive support, it's only needed send an email and the process run almost automatically.

Cons

This software installs a "receiver" app in the user machine, some users don't want it.

I have been using this for over 15 years. I use this daily and am able to help all my customers remotely to fix issues

Cons

There is no issue with this software, been using it for years and years, and plan on using it for more years.

Pros

I like that it has always been around for me, and that it has such an easy way of connecting with my clients to assist them with their needs on their machines using our software.

Cons

maybe not as feature rich, but a lot of the new features these days can be full of gimmicks or just for wow factor. this software just does what it needs to.

RescueAssist is easy to use and do the job. If the Mac part will be automated again it will be one of the greatest tools on the market.

Pros

It is easy to apply to machines and use. The unattended installer is a must for pretty much anyone in our department. Just click and go. I have the option to remote to clients and show them what ever they need with a access key, email or the unattended installer. Plenty of options. The chat function is pretty nice and all the other features are working fine.

Cons

We have some issues with mac computers. You need to enable the software in security settings etc. The automation you have in Windows do unfortunately not copy into Mac. That's the only thing I can put a finger on besides the support that is very limited if you do not have a direct contact.

Reason for choosing LogMeIn Resolve

You can get into a mac when accessing the profile for the first time and go through the setup part. That was the reason for going on with RescueAssist.

Remote access to our company devices

Pros

Has good features for connecting to users, enev when they are not on their computer. Allows for multiple administrators under the same client group. Allows for client information customization so you can better identify remote devices. Works on mobile well.

Cons

Because it relys on the internet if speeds are slow it can have issues connecting. The client can uninstall the remote agent without permission making it difficult to manage remote devices. Organization of clients can make it hard to find the right computer if you manage many devices.

Pros

Easy to install on my retail machines across the state. Convenient to log in and troublehsoot issues.

Cons

Licenses can get expensive once you need more than a couple.

Getting people with no internet or very low internet experience can be stressful. It is very simple though, 1 click to join. You just have to have your way with words!

Pros

This software made it feel like i was sitting with my client or my coworker, working right there with them.It may even be easier to train someone on computers on here rather than in person.

Cons

The element of being in person with someone can be helpful for certain people. If this is you, then this product may not be that beneficial. I think anyone can learn from this program or the other end user.

Pros

GoToAssist is very easy to use and enable us to remotely assist our end users. It gives us the ability to screen share, and even take control where necessary. We can share files, apply patches, and do any other kind of support necessary. Our company has end users scattered throughout the country, and this tool allows me to easily access and support them no matter where they are.

Cons

The only possible con is that it is a little more expensive than some of the competitors out there, but considering the reliability we have had with it, I cannot complain about that.

I'm not a tech employee and have comfort with a good chunk of tech implementation, and this was super easy. Anyone should be able to follow along.

Pros

Very easy to install on our new computers, and immediately able to give out computers and work on lingering onboarding tasks in time.

Cons

Not much - so far really great for our teams.

I used GoToAssist for about 5 years. It was a good product and I never had any trouble with it. Getting users to connect was never a very difficult process.

Pros

Reliable connection. Great screen compression technology -- very quick response.

Cons

"fastsupport.com" was hard to understand over the phone. :) The cost is a little high compared to a few other options on the market.

Pros

Easy to deploy, use, maintain, and start session for users. In addition to the unattended support feature, they have several URLs users can easily navigate to, which results in shorter time to session.

Cons

Cost - this is one of the more expensive remote support tools I have ever paid for. I had to really push to get it approved, but I'd say it's worth the price!

Remote support works well, good tools for setting up support sessions, plenty of logging options.

Cons

It's a bit more expensive than some other comparable solutions I've used but it's worth the money for longer term users.

Pros

I use the remote support access and control feature the most to help me support my customers with their device issues, and it works great!

Cons

The most difficult part is getting some users to properly download and install the support client, it takes some extra steps especially on mac, but that is out of GoTo’s control.

It's easy to use and requires very little training. We haven't had any issues, and it's quite easy to manage users in the portal.

Cons

The download of the screen recordings take a while, admittedly we dont tend to have to download them very often though.

I have been using this product for about a year. When it works it is very user-friendly and we use it many times a week, sometimes daily. I use the product to connect to my retail store and office computer from my laptop when traveling and/or away from the business. It tends to lose its connection for no particular reason, not often but seemingly at the worst time. I would recommend it regardless of this issue - it is a bit pricey for 1 PC connection

Easy to use and navigate - immediate connections with a click - ability to transfer files

Cons

Connection fails sometimes - pricey
