Overall I find that GoToResolve can be great for filling in gaps where other screensharing apps are lacking, such as transferring files.

Pros

I like how we can transfer files, so a customer can send me files, or I can send to them.

Cons

Compared to other screensharing apps, more technically complicated to use than Zoom or Teams

I evaluated for two purposes; one was to remotely install software on org PCs where we didn't previously have a solution we could access with elevated permissions - this met that need. The other was to remotely support clients using a web application we built. For our needs, it was overkill for this. We only need simple screen sharing with our clients but had we needed more we would have maintained our plan.

Pros

The interface is so clean and performs so well. I couldn't find anything that I couldn't do after creating a session with users.

Cons

Cost. It's a bit more pricey than some other options I reviewed but none worked as well as rescueassist overall.

GoToAssist allows me to remotely provide support anytime from almost anywhere. It has been a lifesaver at times when I'm not on site but support is needed.

Pros

I love that I can provide support using GoToAssist from my phone, tablet, and PC. There are times when I only have my phone on me and through their mobile app I can still get work done when needed.

Cons

I wish I could be logged in from two devices at once with my same login. It hasn't been a huge deal though.

This software controls a remote computer through the internet without any difficulty. As an educator, it has helped me to teach virtual classes remotely, which saves me time and money. The data is transferred securely.

Cons

The interface needs to be improved to the latest trends. You must have an Internet speed too good or you will have communication problems.

Pros

\- It is very easy to setup and configure across our entire company. - Simple interface allows for quick and easy connection to remote computers. This is very handy when we have a team member in the field with a problem that we need to troubleshoot.

Cons

\- It's pricey, their subscription model definitely works for larger companies, unfortunately this doesn't work as a viable solution long term for us. - I've noticed that once when I updated the software, it didn't take and caused a bug that forced me to uninstall and reinstall the program.

Pros

An excellent software to remotely access other work computers. Easy to use and very convenient.

Cons

At times the connection strength is not great, but this is not a major issue. The benefits FAR outweigh the drawbacks.

I use GoToAssist for remote access and troubleshooting of our company computers as we have employees in several geographic locations. GoToAssist is easy to setup and I can easily instruct employees on how to let me access their system. It has all the features I would expect of a remote assistance program.

Cons

I really don't have any negatives to say about this program. It does everything I need it too and I can quickly and effortlessly access remote computers for troubleshooting.

We used this for supporting virtual students and teachers during COVID. We still use this for home support for teachers or staff who are at home for quarantine or other reasons.

Pros

We love the simplicity of GoToAssist. It's easy to generate session keys and get them to users. The experience during the remote session has always been smooth and simple.

Cons

GoToAssist is working as it's supposed to. We generate links and email them to our staff/faculty/parents we are supporting. It works most of the time, but due to the differences in home computers, sometimes it takes a few tries for the user to get it working and allow us to get in.

Pros

It allows our IT the ability to access and maintain our systems during employees' off hours. Our IT is then able to update each computer and the server, as well as fix any backup issue, insure that the backup's are running properly, and perform all virus and malware scans necessary.

Cons

If the system is down, of course, GoToAssist does not work. Of course, if there is not Internet connection, this software does not provide the necessary access from outside to the systems

Pros

Easy to use and easy to connect to friends I help with their issues. I have a few older folk who own computers but aren't too savvy and it is easy to get them to download the file and run the GoToAssist setup.

Cons

Need to be able to get it consistently on a need to use basis, I don't charge a lot of the people and a subscription is daunting. I don't seem to be able to pay a one-time fee anymore.

On a regular basis I come across weird devices that just won't allow my remote access tools to work, or technophobe clients who just can't seem to install a piece of software. This makes it easy in both of those cases.

Pros

It works when other remote support tools fail, either due to compatibility issues or just the difficulty of guiding a client through setup of remote access over the phone. RescueAssist is easy to get working.

Cons

If you need unattended access, this isn't the best tool for the job. There are other solutions that do a better job.

Honestly, there are too many free options of this type of software out there to pay for this type of software without some game changing features, and they just don't exist here.

Pros

As advertised, it allows us to see and take control of our users' machines remotely. Brand labeled website for users to ask for assistance (from our internal team).

Cons

Stupid password restrictions that need to be dealt with immediately or you'll be frustrated as your password expires on you non-stop. It has issues if the person you're connecting to doesn't have a pretty good connection speed. There are times when it will randomly take away my ability to click on anything, and I'll be forced to just talk the user through the clicks.

Cons

1\. Sometimes it can get laggy. Especially on slow connections. 2. Cost can build up quickly if you are paying for a large group of people for remote access.

Start to end, it was fantastic.

Pros

We used this to connect to end users PC remotely when troubleshooting was required. My entire team LOVED how easy it was to get the end users to connect. Even the users that were technical novices were able to get connected with our support representatives. Its got tons of features too. Being able to take the PC into Safe mode is a god send. The fact that it works so nicely with Mac is a great add on as well. Also being able to send commands remotely is a godsend.

Cons

Nothing much to dislike. I feel like a mobile support is kinda lacking but we never needed that much anyway.
