The thing I like least about Kinetic is that it can be hard to navigate and is very challenging to learn at first.

Overall, Kinetic has been a dependable platform for managing production, inventory, and customer workflows. Once the initial learning curve is behind you, the system becomes a powerful tool that keeps operations running smoothly and gives better visibility into daily processes.

Pros

Kinetic keeps operations organized with strong production and process management tools. I like how the system connects different parts of the workflow, making it easier to track jobs, inventory, and customer activity in one place.

Cons

Some areas feel complex and require extra setup time. Occasional bugs during updates can slow things down, and document management isn’t as strong as other parts of the system.

Kinetic acts as a heavy-duty command center built explicitly for physical production. Despite a tough onboarding process, it ultimately delivers precise margin tracking, tight operational control, and total floor clarity.

Pros

Kinetic links inventory, floor scheduling, and job costing into one fluid machine. Its browser interface simplifies tracking parts, complex materials, and work shifts, giving teams instant, exact visibility into total job costs.

Cons

Setup feels like rebuilding an engine on the fly. The sheer depth of settings can overwhelm average users, while tailoring custom reports usually demands specialized technical help or paid consulting.

Pros

Centralizing company data within a unified, secure database greatly facilitates auditing and resource planning. The industrial workflow automation features are highly robust for fast-growing organizations.

Cons

implementing this platform demands an astronomical budget for external consultants and adaptation time that temporarily slows down business activity.

I use the Finance Management module the most. But it is easy to navigate to the other modules Sales, Service, Production, Purchasing and Exec Analysis.

Pros

It is very strong in the production side. We are a manufacturing business and it works well from entering the sale all the way to invoicing the clients.

Cons

They have so many modules that you need to add on that it can get a bit pricey. The report builder "BAQ" is way too complicated. It tends to freeze up occasionally when working with the AP apps.

My overall experience with Kinetic has been positive. I have used several of the more well-known ERP systems; however, they are more cumbersome to support both large project management and high-volume manufacturing environments.

Pros

Epicor Kinetic offers several advantages including: 1) It is very user-friendly. I was amazed at how easy it is to learn and navigate; 2) It is customizable. We have customized everything from the start up screen to the inner mechanics of the system; 3) It is easy to access - whether you are in the office or working remotely; 4) It supports both large project management and high-volume manufacturing environments.

Cons

Some of the features are quite different between the classic version and the new version of Kinetic. There is a slight learning curve to go from one version to another.
