It’s one of the easiest platforms I’ve used for creating, growing, and monetizing a newsletter. I like that it combines writing, email sending, a website, analytics, and monetization tools all in one place. The interface is clean and modern, and it makes it easy to focus on publishing instead of piecing together multiple tools. Overall, I would definitely recommend Beehiiv to creators, coaches, and businesses that want to build a newsletter and turn it into a real business. It’s especially strong if your goal is audience growth and monetization, not just sending emails. Beehiiv has a simpler dashboard, viewfinder and workflow than Kit Beehiiv was also a little bit more affordable and that was a big part of my decision. I also appreciate how quickly you can get started, it makes writing and sending newsletters feel straightforward rather than like a big technical task. Cons Some features feel a bit limited or basic compared to other platforms I’ve used. Owner Arts and Crafts Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Migrated from Legacy Infrastructure to beehiiv" March 14, 2025 5.0 It's been a great experience for me- I came off an old fragmented legacy infrastructure that was frankly held together with duct tape and baling wire. Many classic problems of the WordPress architecture just go away when moving to a modern infrastructure. I have had excellent customer support when I need to clarify things, and they are very open to feedback on features I am looking for. You can't ask for much more than that. I love the boosts features. As a legacy publisher, these were new for me and took a bit to get used to. I use a limited amount of ads- this will get more robust over time. Pros For what I need, it is a great solution. I was coming off a WordPress, Thrivecart, Brevo combo platter. This is giving me all I need in one platform, which has been great. Yes, as an earlier stage company they are continuously rolling out new features. It will keep getting more and more robust over time, and the gains I have received so far more than make up for any features I am waiting for. Cons Email templates for newsletters would be nice just to make it easier to get started. I find some of the ad features a little confusing as I am still getting used to how these all work. I looked into several alternatives looking for a solution about a year ago. No question I made the right choise. Pros I've been using beehiiv for about a year and I'm impressed by both their newsletter and blog platform. It just works and is very user friendly. Also quite impressed by their freequent updates. They just keep shipping new features at a very steady pace. It looked good initially, but ultimately we were better off with ConvertKit (now Kit) Pros The interface is well designed, and access to high quality advertisers make it easy to build a business on their platform Cons Beehiiv has serious deliverability issues. We had to move off the platform as readers were no longer getting our emails. Their customer service was also quite poor, as they didn't respond when we reached out for help. It's fairly cost effective, especially for smaller subscription lists. I haven't found all the features available yet though, as it can be difficult and confusing to navigate the site. Pros Beehiiv is cost effective, especially when starting out with email marketing. It offers a lot of features and multiple ways of generating revenue. Cons Beehiiv is quite complicated to get the hang of, and you can't see your newsletter as you're making it; you have to format it and then preview to see what it looks like. This means it takes more time to get it right. The User Interface is quite busy and can be confusing to navigate. The templates offer ideas to customize your newsletter. besides, Beehiiv has most of the features you would need to start a newsletter fast. Pros Generous free plan that lets you grow a healthy subscriber base. Ability to customize a website and use advanced HTML in your newsletters. Great referral plan that keeps affiliates engaged. The platform even helps you earn a little extra revenue in the process if you're on a paid plan. Cons \- There's a bit of a learning curve, especially for beginners or those not used to newsletters. The resource section is frequently updated and tutorials added so its gotten a little bit better. - While there's a very generous free plan (Called Launch), the leap in price to the next level can give some sticker shock. There's not much you can do on the basic plan beside grow your list so plan to monetize externally.
