Operations, Finance Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Game Changer - Trackabeast Improves Efficiency - Amazing Value" July 12, 2025 5.0 Going from Excel spreadsheets, trying to remember details, coordinating with various volunteers, TRACKABEAST has been a GAME CHANGER!! Our organization has been able to grow quickly thanks to this great app; we couldn't do it without Trackabeast! Some of our 'favorite' features include animal details to help plan for vaccinations, spay/neuter and reminders to stay on schedule not to mention attaching medical documents. We are able to provide professional looking Medical History reports to our adopters. And we've been able to track down owners of lost kitties with microchip data captured. The various ways to filter the data allow us to quickly 'know our numbers' be it total number in our care, how many are pending adoption / adopted and easily list which kitties are located with which fosters! The applications feature includes various stages and memos that helps our adoption counselors to track their communication with potential adopters. Overall, our business process efficiencies have greatly improved thanks to Trackabeast. Pros Great app to see most everything in one system at an amazing low cost! The application feature for potential adopters, volunteers and fosters has really been a great efficiency in tracking details! So easy to navigate. Love the download capability to allow 'slice and dice' the data with Excel. And the Customer Service is AMAZING! Very quick to answer questions, research issues and solve any hiccups!! PS - Having access to an actual 'real' demo database prior to signing up was fantastic! It allowed me to 'play' on my own using my own data to better understand the features before making a decision. Cons No concerns. It does require a little patience when using on a cell phone as there is a lot of data that you may need to scroll through. It is literally our brain for the history it contains. Pros It has our historical data since 2009 and has continued to add capability to the system. We have multiple users and it is fairly easy and intuitive to use. Cons I wish they would have the ability to open multiple tabs. March 28, 2022 5.0 Periodically, we would run across some sort of organizational need that would make me think, "Gee, it would be nice if we could do that with Trackabeast." I'd get in touch with Trackabeast owner,\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], and she would make it happen. It's really hard to imagine that level of customer service nowadays, but you get it with Trackabeast. Pros We were an all volunteer rescue group, so we knew whatever database we chose was going to be used by busy people without expertise in databases and who worked 40 hours a week or more at their real jobs. We needed a database that was intuitive, easy to use and covered all the bases of rescue work. Trackabeast fit the bill to a tee. Cons I can't think of anything that I wasn't pleased about with this software. Reason for choosing Trackabeast Trackabeast offered a try-it-out type of database, and once our board (all people without great experience with databases) used it, we were sold due to its ease of use and the cost. " March 25, 2022 5.0 I love trackabeast i am the main user of this software for our rescue and i can't say enough good things about the ease of use and all the medical info being right there easy to use quick to update info and manage medical info on each animal. If i ever had a question i would email \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and have great customer service she has always helped me out. I would recommend this product to any animal rescue or vet service Pros The data management is top priority and it delivers and goes above and beyond. we can manage our animals, foster, and volunteers all in one place. Im technically challenged and this is so easy to use and manages all our rescue needs in one place. From medical charting to organizing our fosters and volunteers information. Love that is is linked to Petfinder and helps coordinate quick adoptions for our rescue animals. Helps keep admin organized as multiple people can use the software and access medical information on our animals at any time. No need to go to an office to pull charts to verify info its all at your fingertips. Its very efficient and easy to use i would recommend to any rescue, animal shelter, or vet office. Love the pre-set frequently used information for medical needs all you need to do is quick clicks and add dates ect. Cons There really isn't anything that i don't like about it I have not yet come across anything that is a negative. Having all our animals' information in a database that more than one volunteer can access has been a God-send. We are now able to track everything that happens with each animal while it is in our case. The feature to be able to scan and upload the animals' records is pretty impressive as well. Pros We can access each animal's record in seconds. We can also pull numbers for just about any kind of data we need with a few mouse clicks. It is very easy to do our monthly reports. Cons I can't think of anything I don't like about Trackabeast. We are a small non-profit organization and this software offers many features that we just don't have the need to use since we are so small. But they are wonderful for their bigger clients. We don't plan on EVER switching to another software, especially since their customer service is impeccable and very responsive. Pros We have been using this software almost from its inception.\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], the Administrator and Creator, has ALWAYS been available for all questions and suggestions. The customer service is the best ever. They are continually striving to integrate new things into their software that will better serve all of their customers. This software is extremely user-friendly, and it encompasses all aspects of data base management that my organization was looking for. Cons I really don't feel like there are any cons to this software. Since my organization has been a Trackabeast client from the "get-go," I have seen this system go from some learning pains in the very beginning to a smooth, well-oiled system currently. March 27, 2022 5.0 As previously mentioned, most of us use it daily and so appreciate the way it’s made our collection of data almost seamless. Additionally, customer service is top notch!! Our input is always sought; and any questions, concerns or troubleshooting needs are immediately addressed, even though most of those are user errors! TAB is always striving to improve!! Pros We have immediate access to information regarding all dogs in our system (past and present), adopters, fosters, donors and organizations! Initial implementation was slow at first until everyone became more and more comfortable utilizing TAB’s features; and I’m happy to say we are almost totally there! (Of course, any software is only as good as the timely input by its users!!) Cons Not all of the fields are relevant to our needs, and not sure if there is a way to hide them…guess we need to ask!! Reason for choosing Trackabeast There were t that many from which to choose at that time (over ten years ago!) However, another sister rescue organization suggested TAB; and \[ Sensitive Content \]was so helpful in allowing us a trial period with guidance along the way! Glad we made the decision to use TAB! March 25, 2022 4.0 Good , its has been helpful in ensuring that we not only know where animals are, and what medical care has been given or is due for follow up Pros Once we started putting tattoo numbers in the same place that the chip numbers go , we were able to track cats easily by searching the tattoo number. This is an important feature for us , it helps track the owners of cats that are lost, are surrendered to the SPCA or at a veterinary hospital with no owner present. Using chips is not used in our area , we do not have a machine to read chips. Cats found by people just trying to help a cat they found injured or lost need to be able to read a tattoo in order to find the owner. Cons I haven't been using the program a lot this year , mostly because of covid and because of our 10 year free spay and neuter program that greatly reduced the cats and kittens needing our help. I just pulled up the program and see some major changes have taking place. The adoption for viewing cats that are inactive I could not readily see, when I did find the advance search and filter I couldn't seem to activate it , so I could look at all the animals that have come though the rescue. I just wanted to let you know that the Animal Profile page has a dedicated field for Tattoo# so you should not have to use microchip, though there is no harm in it. You can search for either number in the main search bar. To search for inactive animals, click the carat for advanced search and check the box "Inactive". You can add "Adopted" to that same search all adopted and inactive animals will be in your list. I'm sorry if the new screens are giving you trouble. We use it daily to add new animals, new adopters and adoptions, and all of their medical care (vaccines, tests, sterilization, microchip, etc) Cons Some of the processes could be more automated, such as registering micro chips with Home again. She is always open to suggestions to make the product better. Pros We started with TaB in 2008 and it greatly simplified our method of handling incoming and outgoing dogs. While we had to rely on paper records and phone calls to exchange info on dogs in the system before TaB, with TaB we were able to create records that all personnel could access on the internet. No more digging thru files to find one vet record or adoption application, it was all available on TaB. Cons Most of the features offered are very intuitive to use, but you do need to enter new records in a certain order which takes longer. Review Source SM Sarah M. We use it to keep track of animal intake, placement status, medical information, and more. The software itself is indispensable, but the best thing about Trackabeast is the responsiveness of the developer. Her response time is lightning-fast and she is able to make changes and adjustments that tailor our database to our unique needs. I'm not very technologically competent and Trackabeast is so user-friendly, it really makes taking the 200+ animals we save in a year easy (at least the recordkerping portion!)
