"Way more features than StreamYard and cheaper too!"
Overall: It has been an awesome ride so far. My wife and I had never produced videos for YouTube before. I'm 59 years old, and I was able to get this setup and running in less than four hours. It probably took 2 days of watching training videos to learn all the extra features, and I am still learning new tricks as we go. I love hearing from people when they enjoy some of the extra things I have added to our livestreams and videos.
Pros: High quality video, good storage space, lots of fun options, flexibility, and reasonable price. Once you learn how to work the software, it is easy to use, configurable on the fly, and is just a joy to work with. You can get very creative with just a little time working with the system. People comment on all the little add-ons I have already created, like the sound effects and videos I have added. The creators of the software actually answer questions and have a weekly town hall meeting to discuss new developments and get feedback from real users.
Cons: There is a learning curve to the software, but it has a very basic version (Dynamic Scenes) that is similar to what you get with StreamYard, but then you can go to the Pro Scenes and this is where you can get totally creative with soundtracks, sound effects, visual effects, animated backgrounds and so much more. I just get tired of people asking why I did not just go with StreamYard....at least until they see all the extra things our shows have that the others do not.
"Evmux is the Next Generation of Web-based streaming applications"
Overall: Overall, as that one person who has tried them all - and made videos of most of them as a result - Evmux really is the apex in this field. I have to pitch it above beginner level and say that to get the most out of it you will already be familiar with most of the concepts on offer - or be prepared to put in a few days experimentation, question asking and video watching. But it is most definitely worth it if you have any sort of regular live streaming show or event and need to reflect the quality of our content in the output from your streaming application. Look, it's free at the base level and that surprisingly includes MOST of the features the application has to offer. You really can't go wrong in giving it a go. Tell them Rokk Show sent you ;)
Pros: I have used every major web-streaming application known to streamers; Streamyard, Restream, Streamlabs, Stramlab TalkStudio, Facebook Studio, the list goes on and one. I have even been privy to some of the very latest that have yet to go public. As well as this I am also use OBS and have used Ecam and others. I'm a vet!! Beyoned any doubt, Evmux is unparalleled in this class. If you are looking for a pro level tool that will provide total freedom for creative input (and output) with an aggressive ongoing development roll out that sees new features on an almost weekly basis - this my friend is exactly what you are looking for. Recently Evmux introduced widgets to the application and these take it to a whole other level. A free library of tools that can be applied to your stream across a wide range of uses. You want a giveaway wheel? A QR code for your website on screen A Kofi link? Some huge dancing emojis? Evmux has this as a wiedget and a ton more! There is a promise of a developer SDK coming in the very near future together with a store for developers to sell their more complex widgets alongside the plethera of free ones.
Cons: With great power comes great... well, learning! There is a very definite learning curve to Evmux for sure and some of that learning comes beacuse the interface was originally designed for the virtual event scene (you know that thing that everybody did during lockdown because they couldn't get you to the conference centre for the Knitting Expo?). Truthfully that aspect could do with an overhaul but I get that it's probably difficult for the deves to let go. The good news however is that once you understand the basics and the principles and thel light bulb turns on - it all makes perfect sense. Luckily there is a great Facebook group (I'd love to see them move this to Discord which would help to separate support from fans and general chat but don't think it's on the cards). There is also a growing library of tutorial videos on the Evmux YouTube page and many more from a legion of die-hard fans and supporters of the platform if you hunt them down.
"This company is fraudulent and unkind "
Overall: My overall experience with EVMux was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I was initially drawn to their server management solutions and decided to give their free trial a chance. However, upon finding a more suitable and cost-effective alternative, I attempted to cancel my trial subscription and was met with an unhelpful and unsympathetic customer support team. EVMux charged me a significant amount for an annual subscription despite my timely request to cancel during the trial period. Their refusal to refund the charge and cancel my subscription left me feeling helpless and dissatisfied. In my opinion, their poor customer support and unreasonable billing practices reflect poorly on the company as a whole. As a result, I would not recommend EVMux to others seeking server management services due to their inflexible policies and lack of commitment to customer satisfaction. My experience has led me to believe that there are better, more customer-oriented alternatives available in the market.
Pros: I enjoyed the easy setup and integration of evmux.
Cons: I recently had a terrible experience with EVMux, a company offering server management solutions. I signed up for a free trial, but soon discovered a better alternative that was more cost-effective for my needs. Unfortunately, when I attempted to cancel my trial on the same day they charged me for an annual subscription in the range of $200-$300, EVMux's customer support failed to provide any assistance or reasonable resolution. Upon contacting EVMux's customer support, I clearly explained my situation and requested a refund for the charge and immediate cancellation of my subscription. Despite my polite and timely communication, their support team refused to refund the amount and cancel my subscription. This inflexibility and lack of understanding left me feeling incredibly frustrated and disregarded as a customer. I cannot in good conscience recommend EVMux to anyone seeking server management services. Their poor customer support and unwillingness to accommodate reasonable requests demonstrates a serious lack of commitment to customer satisfaction. Furthermore, their billing practices appear to be exploitative, as they charged me for a full year's subscription despite my clear intent to cancel during the trial period. It is crucial for businesses to prioritize customer satisfaction, fair billing practices, and responsive support to maintain a positive reputation and foster long-term relationships with their clients. Unfortunately, EVMux has fallen short in these areas, and I strongly advise potential customers to consider more reliable and customer-oriented alternatives for their server management needs.
