When there are payroll question, the support staff is quick to get back to us. Cons The larger number of character spaces for invoices number, purchase order, payment (cheque number). March 13, 2014 4.5 Pros We had to find a software that would allow us to have lots of options in terms of reporting, as well as something that would eliminate the double entry of our payroll and separate job costing functions. We have fully implemented Jonas with all three of our companies and can quickly and easily pull reports for all of our companies at once with the consolidated reporting. This has allowed us be more in touch with our field employees and made cost tracking much easier. Cons The subcontract module works well for those who are required to submit payment certificates to their subcontractors. In the pipeline industry, we have found it most helpful to use purchase orders, as the PO module is very specific. Review Source KY Kim Y. Project Assistant Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "TOPS for Customer Service and Training" September 3, 2015 5.0 Pros Jonas support and training has been amazing and such an example of what true customer service is. More companies could learn from Jonas how to properly train and walk alongside a client to offer support, especially through the learning process. Cons The learning process is probably what I like least about Jonas right now, and that really has nothing to do with Jonas itself, but just the process of having to learn something new. It is always difficult to make a change, and learning the flow of the product is taking time. The abundant help documents have been useful in some situations, but they don't always have a clear answer depending upon what it has to do with. It is the difference in companies and applications that make it hard to provide clear direction sometimes, but when we (Dorsett's) have asked questions, Jonas is always quick to respond and help us work through issues. Construction Used the software for: ### "Great program that keeps developing and moving forward" March 21, 2014 4.5 Pros I have been using this software since 2011 and have found it to meet and exceed my expectations. I use it to manage the Service Department of our company; however, we also use it in our Construction Division and Retrofit. It manages our entire back end in Accounting, Inventory, and Payroll as well. I manage hundreds of client service contracts and T&M service work with Jonas. It mines all the data I put in so that I get out beautiful reporting and retain customer history. I have had great customer service from Jonas, and they have always been open to suggestions as well; they keep on developing for their customer's needs. Cons Honestly, there is nothing I do not like. I have not had any issues. Pros Works great for companies that have large or multiple locations that need to have unified information. Support is very easy to talk to and know their product inside and out. The electronic timesheets module is excellent! Remote users can easily enter their time from anywhere they have access to the internet. Controller Used the software for: ### "Happy User" March 11, 2014 5.0 We've using Jonas for about 5 years. Implementation of the system was relatively easy with the consultant. He was available to us whenever we needed him and the conversion from Aacpac was pretty smooth with all the files being converted to CSV files and imported. Having a dedicated support person for the first six months was a great help. We called her constantly for small issues and always got a great response and solution. The support over the years has been excellent with quick responses and fixes. Not a lot to complain about with the program some small glitches with inventory but that is usually handled pretty quickly and solutions found. Overall impression of this product is that it does exactly what we need it to do. If you have people who are at ease with technology you will have few issues. Review Source RM Rocco M. May 9, 2014 4.0 Pros The best part is the comprehensiveness of Jonas. We do all of our accounting and job costing in Jonas. The best part is that as time passes, the more we can do in Jonas (example: contact lists/document management system). Cons What I like least is the lack of ability to drill down to GL detail level (journal entry or Job Cost details from GL). Also, I like that I can change the work order number on the PO without having to move around parts. I love that I can change the bill very easily and that the same site can have different bill to's on the same account. Cons There are too many steps to get out an invoice. Opening WO's and issuing PO's is as simple as any program I have been involved with Cons As a remote user, it is often slow but that could be our system. As we continue to maneuver through the modules and processes, we continue to discover little "extras" that's going to make our jobs easier. Cons As with any software, users would like the documentation to walk them through step by step. However, because every company's setup/profile is different, this becomes next to impossible. Given that, imagine if Jonas DID provide the most detailed product documentation?!? Their software is one of the best on the market. Reports are easy to write, and allow management team members to have at their fingertips the tools they need to make decisions. Fully integrated capability gives the entire team up-to-date information at any time it's needed. The system's weaknesses include slow run time for reports, and no job cost scheduling. We have grown considerably (number of companies and sales volume) since then, and it's comforting to know that JONAS has been growing along with us.
