Pros Payhip is extremely easy to navigate, even for beginners who have little to no experience with online selling platforms. Cons Payhip requires you to handle your own advertising and promotion. I had such a small audience and compared to other sites that did the same thing, Payhip just felt easier to use and set up. Plus I liked the store, and up-sell options: when somone adds a book to their cart, I can offer more books at a discount, which can increase total sale per client. It was easy to integrate with my ESP, and even has options inside payhip to create and send update emails. (like when I announce a new books!) There are subscription options, and membership, plus I can sell physical items, which helps if I want to clean out some of my vintage closet contents and share with my newsletter. Pros I have been using payhip as my main store for over three years and would recommend it to any author, creator or even a unique newsletter specialist. It literally takes three minutes to add a new product, it can be integrated with email service providers (when someone buys a product, it adds them to a list) plus on the Payhip store, there are cross sell and marketing opportunities that take seconds to set up. Cons Payment processing fees are in line with others, but it won't deposit on weekends, and because of the time zone, sales payments might feel like processing pay out takes an extra day. This can be a frustration at first, but as you reach daily sales, the processing time can even out. Where has this platform been all my life!! I spent a long time setting up and testing a comparable platform that cost $135 month and it drove me crazy trying to wrap my head around the interface and work flow. PayHip is straight forward no nonsense! Pros It's totally FREE to start! It's got so many great features that you will pay dearly for on other platforms. Cons The user interface is somewhat convoluted trying to access pages to edit. Style sheets and ability to embed audio and video on public pages is limited.
