### "A Solid, go-to, trusted, PDF editor"

May 27, 2026

4.0

Overall, my experience with Adobe Acrobat has been very positive. It’s a mature and dependable solution that covers nearly every PDF-related task needed in a business or IT environment. While there are lighter or cheaper alternatives available, Acrobat remains the industry standard because of its broad functionality, compatibility, and security-focused features. It has consistently helped improve document management, collaboration, and workflow efficiency in day-to-day operations.

Pros

What I like most about Adobe Acrobat is its reliability and feature depth for managing PDFs in a professional environment. The OCR functionality works well for scanned documents, and the editing, commenting, and form-fill capabilities make collaboration much easier across teams. I also appreciate the integration with Microsoft 365 and cloud storage platforms, which helps streamline document workflows. From an IT perspective, the security features like password protection, redaction, and digital signatures are valuable for handling sensitive business documents.

Cons

The biggest downside is the licensing cost, especially for organizations managing multiple users. Acrobat can also feel resource-heavy at times, particularly on older systems or when working with large files. Some features are buried in menus, which can make the interface feel more complicated than necessary for casual users. Occasional update prompts and Adobe account requirements can also create friction in enterprise environments.

### "Adobe Acrobat Review"

May 25, 2026

Overall acrobat does what it needs to do. I can view and print pdfs. However sometimes it can have bugs, like opening the wrong file or freezing.

Pros

Adobe acrobat is compatible with all pdf files that our workplace has come across. It easy opens pdfs that have been downloaded so you can print or share them.

Cons

I find it slow to load and the design is a bit outdated. It can be hard to find the actions needed, like renaming a pdf or printing it.

### "Good product for the price. Easy to convert documents into PDF's."

November 20, 2025

3.0

Overall, it is good. We rely heavily on Adobe Acrobat. All our change orders, purchase orders and contracts are all sent out using Adobe Acrobat.

Pros

The ability to edit files, sign documents and highlight important items on a document. Also, the ability to easily create PDF's from a word or excel document.

Cons

It sometimes crashes. I get errors that too many people are using it when I am the only one using the software at the time. I am usually able to get back right into the document. I will work with support next time this happens. Probably is an easy fix. It does not stop me from working it's just a little annoying having to reopen a document.

Reason for choosing Adobe Acrobat

The \[sensitive content hidden\] were more familiar with Adobe Acrobat and did not want to change software programs. Plus in our industry Adobe Acrobat is pretty standard.

### "Adobe Acrobat > Microsoft Word"

April 9, 2026

5.0

In my experience, most people use Adobe Acrobat simply to view PDF documents. But you can actually do SO much more on it! My clients and I use it daily for sending and receiving feedback, particularly utilizing the 'Comments' feature where we can @mention each other. Acrobat also provides several text editing features, including changing fonts, text color, kerning, adding bullet points and more.

Pros

I use it to sign digital documents, and to request e-signatures. Before using Acrobat, I would print out a document, sign it by hand, scan it, and then email it off.

Cons

I've encountered some performance issues, such as difficulty loading large files (particularly files with lots of images).

Switched from

[Microsoft Word](https://www.capterra.com/p/227146/Microsoft-Word/)

I have always requested e-signatures from my clients and I always had to send notifications through Gmail manually to the person who had not provided it within a few days. But Adobe automatically send them a reminder.

### "Reliable PDF tool with a few slow moments"

May 14, 2026

4.0

Overall my experience with Adobe Acrobat has been very good. It’s the tool I trust when I need to edit or convert PDFs without messing up the layout. I use it for filling forms, signing documents, merging files and cleaning up scanned pages. It’s stable and does what I need, even though it can be slow at times.

Pros

how reliable it is for anything PDF‑related. I use it at work almost daily for editing forms, combining files, signing documents and converting stuff from Word or images. The conversion quality is really good, the formatting stays the same which saves me a lot of time. The interface is clean and once you know where things are, it’s quick to move around.

Cons

The main downside for me is that Acrobat can feel heavy sometimes, especially when opening big PDFs. It takes a moment to load. Some tools are hidden behind menus and I still forget where certain options are. The subscription price is a bit high if you only need basic editing

May 21, 2026

5.0

My experience has been mostly positive. It’s a dependable tool for PDF-related work, especially for office and study use. It does what it promises without much hassle, though the pricing and occasional performance slowdown can be a drawback.

Pros

It makes handling PDFs very easy. I like how quickly I can edit, sign, and share documents without needing extra tools. The interface is clean and most features are easy to find once you get used to it. It also works well for merging and converting files, which saves a lot of time.

### "The only PDF reader/editor you should be using"

February 6, 2026

5.0

We process a lot of PDFs daily - whether out of country customers send us BOLS or customs documentation or if we need to send proof of delivery on some shipments. Acrobat allows us to load in a created PDF and add lines of text. Also - we use Acrobat when we have a file that is a number of pages and we need to add something in the middle. The organize and edit pages feature allows us to quickly add a file in and save it to the full PDF.

Pros

Allows us to read PDFs but also gives us the option to edit them. When handling order management there are a lot of customer prompted paperwork that we need to fill out /edit; Acrobat allows us full customization.

Cons

The resources it takes to run are a bit high. It does not function as quickly as I would like sometimes. However I have not found anything that works as well when it comes to editing a pdf.

Alternatives considered

[Foxit PDF Reader](https://www.capterra.com/p/175376/ConnectedPDF/)

Reason for choosing Adobe Acrobat

Foxit was not as robust in what we could customize. But we also chose to go with the entire creative suite for other design purposes so it was an easy decision to go with adobe.

### "Powerful and reliable application"

January 11, 2026

5.0

Adobe Acrobat is already the go-to for business in terms of viewing PDFs. However, it does so much more. Scratch the surface and you have a powerful tool at your fingertips. It is one of the first apps and programmes I install on every desktop and device.

Pros

Strong, powerful and ultra-reliable: Adobe Acrobat can view, annotate, edit and secure PDFs in every conceivable way. For what it does, the free version is great; but the Pro version is incredible. Split a PDF, Combine, Create (even from your clipboard), Convert from / to any file format… The interface is easy to use, with clear and unobtrusive prompts. You can add shortcuts everywhere or pin your favourites - and save / read from just about every local, mobile or cloud storage you can think of. Want a document signed? You got it. All baked in to one app. And it works on mobile as well as desktop across every platform with no issues: and I’ve never seen a bug.

Cons

There is nothing really to complain about. A while back they reorganised the app to make finding tools much simpler. And recently they have introduced Acrobat Studio which cleverly introduces (actually good use of) AI to create, edit, reorganise and summarise documents.

Switched from

[PDFCreator](https://www.capterra.com/p/170829/PDFCreator/)

Partially because we were also installing Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign: but mostly because of the powerful tools and editing. As well as installing the suite of apps on key users; we bought additional Acrobat Pro licences for all users.

### "Powerful PDF Tool"

December 20, 2025

5.0

Overall, Adobe Acrobat is a powerful and dependable PDF tool that’s great for professional and business use. It’s been a positive experience as it does almost everything you need with PDFs

Pros

I like how Adobe Acrobat is very reliable and makes it easy to view, edit, combine, and sign PDFs in one place. The interface is professional and works well across desktop and mobile.

Cons

Only thing is the subscription cost feels high for basic users, and some advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans.

April 5, 2026

Overall, my experience with Adobe Acrobat has been positive. It’s a powerful tool that makes document management, file conversion, and task handling efficient.

Pros

Adobe Acrobat is very easy to use once you get familiar with it, and it offers strong file conversion features that make it simple to turn documents into PDFs and back into editable formats.

### "Useful Tool - -With Some Issues"

February 26, 2026

4.0

Adobe Acrobat is a must for us since we work so heavily with pdf plans and specifications. While it's UI is sometimes frustrating, I find it does contain everything I need for my job. I most commonly use its tools to extract pages from pdf's or combine multiple pdf's to make a singular file with multiple pages.

Pros

The ability to view, separate/extract, and share files is the "must" which makes us loyal users of this product.

Cons

There are crashing issues with what I suppose are larger files with more pdf layers, pages, etc. A close second would be complicated features which could be simplified and displayed better for ease of use.

### "Daily Use Product"

April 10, 2026

5.0

Overall, Adobe Acrobat is a wonderful product, and I don't know what I would do without it in my daily workflow.

Pros

I love the ease of use and being able to edit and make notes on documents in my day-to-day workflow. I use Adobe every day at work whether is it in depth functions or something as simple as viewing documents. It has many customization options and another one of my favorite features is its ability to convert files.

Cons

I feel like Adobe updates a lot which in itself isn't bad, but I feel like it can be hard to keep up with the changes. Also, there a few bugs or glitches at times, but with that being said I'd still recommend this product.

### "Document Acrobatics"

November 13, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Adobe Acrobat has been absolutely magnificent. I have always used Adobe Acrobat all my life and have used it during school assignments, and even University.

Pros

What I like most about Adobe Acrobat is being able to use it for Document Signing and being able to Edit PDFs. Acrobat has also been able help me with my Workflow Management and it being really easy to use. Also the User Interface of the Software itself has been great to work with. I believe that this is something I would spend money on. I believe it is worth it for the price.

Cons

I have not had any issues with Adobe Acrobat and have never called customer service. Sure maybe once or twice my PDF crashed on me but never enough for me to call customer support.

### "I'm a PDF genius!"

September 5, 2025

5.0

Easy, intuitive, hard to mess up (which is a huge plus for the "learn by doing" person like me). I haven't even leveraged all of the features available, but it's a must-have tool for my team and me.

Pros

This is not the Adobe of 20 years ago. It is so easy to use, and the tools available at its very affordable price make me feel like an editing and form-creating genius. We have realized the greatest value through its impact on our onboarding process with new hires. We've created a fillable job description template, our offer letters are sent through Adobe Sign. The document sign feature is massively easy, and the email thread it generates helps my team and me keep track of document status.

Cons

I haven't really found anything I have wanted Adobe's help with that I couldn't do. I haven't explored other tools that do similar things, but Adobe hasn't given me any reason to look elsewhere...

It has been great, it saves us all a lot of time to be able to use the functionality to seamlessly fill out PDF's and give signatures. Working on different schedules and in different places, this really bridges the gap and lets us all work together to get things signed and submitted.

Pros

Forms and files made easy! With Adobe Acrobat it is so easy to fill out the many, many forms we have to complete. From Grant applications to government forms having this service brings peace of mind.

Cons

No issues so far, the functionality has worked great for us across the board in every department of our company.

I want to say overall the experience has been great, being able to quickly edit and send over important documents, and being able to do it on the GO!

Pros

What I like the most is the ease of use and the ability of the workflow management when I am swamped and can get these documents out.

Cons

What I like least has to be the edit functions, I feel like there can be more functions to help with long contract document signing or editing that is required for us to do.

### "Good standard PDF viewer in need of a refresh"

January 21, 2026

4.0

A good standard PDF viewer that can sometimes feel frustrating, outdated or clunky. Hopefully one day it will receive a revolutionary refresh which makes it feel light like a viewer should, empowered by AI and levelled up

Pros

Adobe Acrobat is the default PDF viewer across most Windows machines. I believe this is its greatest strength but also a weakness. It feels sometimes like a product which has continuously evolved and evolved, but that it carries with it a range of sometimes clunky and unreliable baggage. It sometimes feels like it needs to be started again from scratch, and deep-cleaning to make it lighter. Otherwise it is a great tool, with some useful add-ons for viewing and even editing PDFs.

Cons

As above, there are a few things which are not as useful about Acrobat, it can sometimes freeze or feel as if it is preventing you from completing a simple task. Additionally, the experience is occasionally unreliable and the UI is changing or not very intuitive. It also lacks some inbuilt easy AI functionality.

I can't live without this software when I do my job. It's excellent for building forms or reviewing PDFs in general. They can improve the signature security better but I am sure they are already working on it.

Pros

Easy to use, especially when filling out forms for documentation/compatibility. Excellent compatibility with most accounting software and never really have issue with it.

Cons

Format issue when reading a PDF issued by Blubeam software. Sometimes the signature will be missing, or the formatting will just look weird due to font issues.

### "Adobe Acrobat for B2B Software Sales - Documents & Contracts"

January 30, 2026

4.0

I started using Adobe Acrobat prior to any other document applications, but I do prefer the formality of it.

Pros

I've been using Adobe Acrobat over DocuSign for signatures on contracts and documents and have found it to be much easier to use. It is also necessary for document conversion - mainly word documents to PDFs and vice versa.

Cons

When editing PDFs for signature, it can sometimes be a little tricky to customize especially drop down menus and personalized data that are different than typical signer information.

Pros

Cons

You’re not anything I just like about Adobe acrobat it reads my needs and it’s simple and easy to use in the business sector for signatures
