I can send something to someone anywhere and have a signature in minutes or a whole document filled in and signed. Pros I love the fact that I can create a template to use over and over again and send out for signature. If you have multiple or changes, those are the areas that you leave fillable so it can be used in many instances. For example, I have 13 facilities that I send things to so if I need something to be fillable like a facility name, that is a possibility. Cons I have not really ran into a lot of issues. Once when I bought a condo I had to send the Master Deed to my insurance agent but I only had a paper copy of the deed. Luckily our printer/scanner has a scan to PDF doc feature where it sends the produced doc to my e-mail address; a life saver. My day to day experience is typically just using Acrobat for reading documents, occasionally I'll encounter a document which is setup such that I can fill-in prepared form entries with just Acrobat Reader, PRO not required. Pros Standards are a good thing and PDF is the de facto standard for regular documents and Reader is free and the pre-eminent PDF reader, it's use is a no brainer. Cons Pro is needed for PDF creation or adhoc free editing. Acrobat Pro is too expensive for a casual user. Therefore typically only a few workers for whom document creating/editing is an essential part of their job have a Acrobat Pro license. I also like using the document edit tool, it works quite okay. Cons The document edit tool is one of my favourite but it needs to be updated. I find it convenient when I'm able to book classes and find proper links for the use of this program. Pros Having the ability to edit documents, especially old documents from the 90s and older, is very convenient for the job I do. Having the ability to add in documents to already archive folders is also convenient. My company, being spilt into 2 different towns, is able to use the signature program so urgent documents wont need to wait for physical transfer. Helps us speed a lot of processes up. Cons I do find it hard to use new programs and stay up with changes as I age. It would be nice for have really quick hyperlinks for step by step videos.
