It allows you to build more secure files, and it has also positioned itself as the program that provides security and seriousness to a text. Cons Sometimes it is not easy to get to the command you need to do some actions such as intervention in the text, or be attentive to the information it provides to print on paper, instead of continuing to generate other pdfs. It presents some problems to the user when the pdf document is created with other software. Pros The best thing about Adobe Acrobat Sign is its simplicity, the application is highly user-friendly, straightforward to use. The brand is a well established and trust worthy, so we can trust it's operation and reliability. The process is also so smooth, it captures our signatures from photos or through digital interaction like e-pen or touch screen accurately. Cons Everything is at the best in Adobe Acrobat Sign, infact it's my only e-sign tool for the last 4 years. I use it every day to go through PDF files that I have created from the Word/PDF documents like the dossier, help guide, FAQ document, and many others for the products we create at ZS. The only shortcoming is the presence of basic features like page reorganizing and editing behind a paywall. Pros The best thing I like about Adobe Acrobat DC is the fact that it stands out to be the best PDF reader available. It provides a whole variety of tools to insert digital signatures in the document, add comments and highlight text - free of cost. As a part of the Product team at ZS, we convert ur help guides from Word to PDF format, so that the client cannot make edits in it easily. These documents have approval signatures from the Leadership team and they mention comments in the PDF, in case there are any changes required to be done before approval. Cons The thing which I least like about this software is the fact that many other features like Edit PDF, Rotate pages, Compress PDF, and Reorganize Pages are behind a paywall - with only a 7-day free trial period. The thing is there are multiple online softwares that already help do this for free, for an unlimited number of PDFs in a short turnaround time. Unfortunately, these online softwares are likely to store client-sensitive data upon upload and are not allowed for use in ZS. It would be helpful if Adobe Acrobat DC makes these features free of cost. For some reason, the newest updates have picked a battle with what seems to be certain HP print drivers, rendering all Windows processes extremely slow, especially upon printing. • The trial period is short • I've tried pulling images from PDFs using Acrobat DC and sometimes it works like a charm and other times it just doesn't work. It pixelates the image or it doesn't pull the entire thing. • When converting files from PDF to Microsoft program, the quality is low and the format must be worked on again • I wish Adobe could be more cost efficient. I'm able to add and remove licenses when needed. It is easy to use software. Even people who aren't very computer literate are able to make annotations and convert files without issues. Pros Acrobat DC is always updated, so you don't have to worry about using an outdated and unsafe version. It is super easy to make notes and annotations. Being able to reduce file size to send in emails is a win. Also being able to convert Excel and Word files to PDF's is super helpful when using programs like ImageRight. The admin controls are super easy to assign and remove licenses, which is key when managing a license count. Cons The DC feature doesn't come with the option to redact software, you have to upgrade to Pro to get this feature. It is not something we need to do a ton of, so we have a handful of users with a Pro license and send redactions to them. Reason for choosing Adobe Acrobat Ease of use was key.
