Pros I believe that adobe has at least to huge strengths, the first one is the user experience, i find really comfortable to use the program, scroll down progressively and even find words, highlight text or fit in different ways the pages. But now as an independent graphic designer, I am no longer in Acrobat's target demo. Acrobat is so overloaded with bells and whitles for enterprises and such a hog on resources, it's basically irrelevant to my needs. Pros When it actually stays open without freezing or crashing, some of the tools are useful, like page management for documents. Cons Editing and preparing PDFs for signature is painful and slow. Placing and aligning objects like radio buttons, and text input fields is unbelievably inaccurate and imprecise. When I use these editing tools I get a strong feeling that this functionality was thrown in at the last minute by Adobe without thought, and without any interest in improvement. Like all of Adobe's products, Acrobat is a CPU killer unless you have the latest, most powerful hardware. I'm unlucky enough to have a five year-old MacBook Air and without a tool to throttle CPU usage, Acrobat and the other Creative Suites products turn my laptop into a useless, steaming-hot brick. Pros The ability to edit PDFs easily as well as adding a digital signature to the document, then being able to save it as a PDF or converting it to another type of document depending on requirements. Cons Some functions which were previously part of the free now requires you to purchase the license to use that function, I'm not aware of any notification from Adobe to state these changes so it's worth using the free version to see if the functionality you require is available before purchasing a license. Highly recommended for basic use. For more features, you need the Pro version. Pros You can view, edit, save, and print PDFs easily. You can access basically all formats of PDFs. You can also edit through highlighting or adding comments which is helpful for students reading text books or professionals who may be reviewing a document and what to keep track of important points. I like the Fill and Sign feature where you can add text, symbols, and signatures to the document. Not all PDFs are created in a fillable format and so this feature allows you easily type into spaces. You can use different colours and font sizes. It also works well with touchscreen devices. I enjoy the fact that you can create an account and log in. With this feature, you are able to utilise cloud storage and have access to your files on whichever device you are using. Cons Features that have become essential for me such as creating PDFs and more complex editing are only available in the PRO version. You are not able to create documents, make other edits such as adding text, or even rearrange or deleting pages. But then it became a tool to collect policy acknowledgement forms, extend offer letters, etc. Now that folks (almost everyone) is remote, it is the solution to almost every problem that needs a signature. Pros I appreciate the e-signing features, particularly the ability to reassign and delegate. The audit trails aren't just appended to the end of executed documents, but can also be viewed in real time from the Manage dashboard. Sending out for signatures gives you numerous options on CCing to endless recipients, specified fields, specified order, etc. The integration/webhooks are pretty snazzy as well and compliment basic e-commerce storefronts. I'm a huge fun of the webforms (they used to be called widgets) making ready to go agreements very accessible via link or embed code. Cons As much as I like the webforms, I do have two gripes with them. 1. Once you create a webform, you can go back and move fields around but you can't ever change who is CC'ed on them. The easy solution is to always CC a "group" or "alias" and add/subtract folks as needed, but it is a bit cumbersome. 2.
