April 11, 2025 5.0 I will give overall 5 starts to OpManager because it does what it built for. Pros We love monitor our network gears and backup with integrated NCM in single application. Application works as expected. Cons SSO is the the best integration and also updating application is little complicated then just following wizard. I also like its network IP address management features, which make it easy to track, manage and troubleshoot IPs without juggling multiple tools. Pros ManageEngine OpManger has a simple installation process with clean dashboard. What I like the most about this is it makes the network monitor easy. The dashboard is clean and easy to understand, so I can quickly check the health of your network. Real time alerts pop up whenever something needs attention. I also like the automatic network discovery and mapping. It shows all the devices in one place without a lot of setup work. Plus, the reports are clear and helpful and tracking the performance over time and share updates with the team. The security features are decent with role based access controls. Cons One thing I dislike about ManageEngine OpManger is that some advanced features can feel a bit complicated for new users, and it takes time to fully explore them. The interface, while functional, could be more modern. Large networks may experience slower performance at times, and customizations of certain reports can be tricky. Decided to use Site 24/7 for our IT but still have it running in our OT environment, but could be moving away from it to PRTG/Solarwinds or other brand. Pros We where using Service Desk from Manage Engine and decided to expand that platform to OpManager with special focus on the OT network because it is On premises based application. It is easy to use and fairly reasonable priced. Cons Strange to say but the fact it is solely on premises is also a negative factor for we can not monitor from outside without opening up our Firewall for that data. Map feature was not up to standard. It monitors many different things and there's probably more functionality than we actually use. Cons The interface can be a bit problematic at times. Menus can get in the way. Things are very straight forward One of the biggest advantages is how quickly you can get it up and running. The UI is intuitive, even for teams without deep network monitoring experience. Cons Functional behavior I found was inconvenient was that when adding very large vmware clusters, it sometimes required further configuration to get performance counters perfectly synched across each node.
