Pros

Dragon Naturally Speaking is a very effective dictation tool due to its it ability to "learn" to understand the user's speaking style. This product is very feature rich.

Cons

Initial setup and training of the software and be very time consuming. The training part of the setup could be see as a deterrent but if completed it results in a great product.

I know that many doctors use it, so I was hopeful. But in the end I was left unimpressed.

Pros

I did like how easy they made it to get to the recording capability. The interface was clear and professional.

Cons

I don't know if it was just my voice, but the software would misinterpret so many things that it wasn't worth the hassle.

Pros

I like that this has features that make it accessible to someone like myself, who uses it to help save time, but also, to people struggling with disabilities who use it as their daily way of communicating and accomplishing tasks. It is a great software and truly helps accomplish things faster and for some, accomplish things at all.

Cons

There are sometimes, as expected, issues when having Dragon type as I dictate. It catches 9/10 of things but its the fact that it misses things sometimes that causes me to have to spend time proofing and rereading more than I'd need to if I proofread as I typed.

easy transcription

Pros

Students can practise the correct pronunciation of English words, at the same time they learn vocabulary and the spelling

Cons

For the writing of a paragraph you must have care about the projected word because it must be adapted to the context

I was amazed at how accurate dragon was while transcribing my voice to text. It has made it easy to quickly write up technical documents.

Cons

I didn't have any issues with this software. It works as intended.

Called the help desk, was transferred to an out of country call center, where I was invited to someone else to peruse my computer, after which I was invited to pay for a service policy. This caused a disappointment in the product.

Dragon software was a great idea at the beginning and when i first got the software it worked flawlessly. But as time went on the software kept crashing and would miss big chunks of what i said. Became spotty and full of issues.

Thought it was going to be easy and just have to install and start speaking. But after a few hours of speaking I became very frustrated.

Easy to use, but not as accurate as I would have liked. Even after calibrating there were still frequent errors. After a couple weeks it was eventually effective, but took quite a while to get there.

My version doesnt work. When i called the company for assistance, I was told by a tech that I had to pay fifty dollars for a missing piece of software required for the program to work. I will return product to Best Buy.
