Pros What i love for the use of Malwarebytes for business is it great tool for detecting a threat or virus on my and others workers devices. Simply put, it scans for and removes viruses, trojans, ransomware and the "click on the website download" type of threats that employees love clicking on. Also, since the console is centralized, I am able to run remote sweeps across the entire fleet rather than having to walk around and hand each user a USB drive. Pros The best part of using Malwarebytes is the way it detects things our other AV software misses. More than once, when an employee has clicked on something that didn't look right (and our AV software missed), after running a full scan by Malwarebytes; it would find the problem. That's been enough for me to stop worrying about whether or not to renew. The anti-ransomware feature works behind the scenes and it prevents any exploits from causing encryption. So far, I haven’t had to restore a single computer from a backup due to malware issues. Cons Older machines will eat up resources while the agent runs. We’ve had some laptops where users claimed the laptop became slower and in reality, they weren’t completely off base. Most times this occurs with the toolbar from your favorite browser or those sketchy free ware programs. Unfortunately, the process of adding exclusions is buried in the options further down then it should be. Pros The threat detection engine is exceptional at catching malicious software that standard antivirus tools often miss. The user interface in the cloud management console is clean, modern, and very simple to navigate, making endpoint deployment across workstations straightforward. Scans run quickly and the performance impact on newer endpoints is minimal during background real time monitoring. But holy heck, this is one of the best products on the market. They regularly patch and release updates that takes care of bugs. The learning curve is very low - intuitive tool built for Business needs! Cons The initial web protection settings can be slightly overzealous, occasionally flagging safe internal sites or harmless downloads until you build out proper exclusions. Scheduled full scans can also spike resource usage on older legacy machines. Customer support response times via ticketing can sometimes be a bit slow when you need quick answers on policy configurations. THERE ARE NO OVERALL CONS. THIS IS AN AMAZING PRODUCT. It’s reliable for day‑to‑day protection and doesn’t get in the way while I’m working. I use it to scan systems, check alerts and make sure nothing weird is running in the background. It catches threats early and gives peace of mind. There are small issues like long scans or false positives, but nothing major that stops me from using it. For a business security tool, it’s solid and easy to manage. Pros Malwarebytes is light and fast it runs. At work we use it mainly for scanning and catching suspicious stuff, and it doesn’t slow down the system like some other security tools I’ve tried. The dashboard is clean and I can run scans or check alerts without digging around. Threat detection is strong it catches PUPs and weird files that other tools sometimes ignore. Updates are quick and don’t interrupt my work. It’s also easy to deploy on multiple machines, which saves time. Cons Sometimes the scans take longer than expected, especially full system scans. A few times it flagged safe files as suspicious, so I had to whitelist them manually. The reporting could be better it gives the basics but not much detail unless you export things. It is a reliable second line of defence for endpoint transparency and management in this aspect, rather than a basic signature based protection tool. Cons Its best treated as a compliment to AV rather than a replacement or alternative. As such it definitely falls short if you are reliant on it as a first and last base of security on hosts, or if not tuned correctly/apps and processes whitelisted; then youre likely to experience issues similarly. It worked fine, but after we migrated to Crowdstrike, Malwarebytes was not needed anymore. Pros \- It is easy to use within an user-friendly GUI. - Light agent. - It is good detecting malware and ransomware specially. - It is more focused on behaviours than in signatures. - Good price. Cons \- More basic than other tools. - It misses some important things that traditional EDRs manage properly, so you'll probably need to use it as an additional tool. - Sometimes we got false positives (more than in other tools).
