It always catches malware that other anti-malware packages don't. I really like the free trial offered to new users, plus the ability to just run the free version if desired after the end of the free trial. Pros What I like most about Malwarebytes is all of the features it has. It not only detects spyware and malware but also acts like an antivirus. I also appreciate how new users are given a free trial of the Pro edition of the software. Cons A lot of times when a software has a ton of features, the user interface can become very busy and cluttered. Malwarebytes suffers from this a little bit. When first installing it, it can really seem overwhelming with all of the options and especially the notifications that seem to just pop up out of everywhere. Reason for choosing Malwarebytes for Business It doesn't cripple machine performance when running an initial scan or when leaving it running in the background. Review Source FM Fidel M. graphic designer Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: 2+ years ### "MalwareBytes " November 19, 2019 5.0 In my profession, they usually send me files of different types, or different clients so that I can work with them and sometimes the work is urgent, so I do not have the time to review each file or the devices that I connect to my computer, so that the application has solved me in more than one occasion when analyzing or making a diagnosis to my computer and seeing what infection problems it has or prevents any virus or malware infection Pros The application is quite useful for me, normally in my professional area I have to download files from different people or files from public pages where it is usually expected that there is an infected file and more than once I have been able to have the program to disinfect or Avoid some corrupt file. Despite having a trial version at the beginning, it performed quite well and fixed infection problems both at work and on my computer at home. Cons I think that the only thing I would change about this is the free version, since it becomes invasive in some cases, otherwise it has been very useful. It's not just about having an antivirus but also about removing whatever is already on the PC and hiding inadvertently and Malwarebytes is the system that has seemed to beat a lot of the antivirus I've tried. It's also very well made so that people who might not get a lot this type of program can run it without any hitch. Pros I like that it is very easy to use, has a free alternative and that it can detect and deal with any malware that it finds in the PC or any files or online websites and that it clearly explains what can be done to them like removing them, giving them an exception or quarantining them. I also like that once it finds something it will point out the path to where this malware was found. Cons The only con I see is that if you use the free version, then you don't have active scanning when you are surfing the web, which has actually proven pretty helpful in my experience. July 10, 2018 4.0 Pros There are many, many, malware/spyware programs out there, both installable and real-time online scanners. I have used many brands and many types, but have always liked Malwarebytes products because of their reliability and more important - consistency. They also have other free tools such as stubborn file deleters, root kit scanners, etc. Good company with good products and easy to deal with as well. Cons There isn't a product out there (and never has been) that will catch 100% of any type of malware or virus activity; it just can't be done because of ever-evolving code and technology. This industry is a "reaction-based" industry that produces its best results as a reaction to something malicious that has already happened. Malwarebytes isn't necessarily at fault for being in this same category, but as with other products, as long as you do updates on a regular basis you'll be as protected as you can be for most situations. It can protect and secure from any virus attacks from removable devices or internet surfing. It protects us in the most reliable way. Cons I have experienced few issues while using this tool which involves payment issues for subscription and redundantly slow working of the devices due to high working impact. I do not recommend this software for anyone with Windows 10 Pros I started using Malwarebytes about two years ago it's been working great and I've had no problems or complaints about it whatsoever. that is until about three months ago please see below... Cons About 3 months ago I had to take my computer and because it wouldn't even turn on I was sure it was the black screen of death as I like to call it seeing as it was beeping at me and there was nothing on the screen this is a brand new computer that I had just purchased not that long ago so you can imagine my horror. Needless to say when I brought it in there was according to the computer tech is serious malware problem. Ever since then I've had to manually check it to make sure but there are no malware because according to my computer repair guy the the malware software is not catching all of the problems. So even though it worked for a very long time on different computer systems that I've had I definitely would not recommend this software to anyone with the Windows 10 it seems to be conflicting with it. I don't recommend this, however, for business use. Pros It is quite inexpensive, automatically scans for virus's, and gets rid of adware (which I find to be the biggest advantage). It does not have any conflicts with other antivirus software that may also be installed and running. One can set it for regular scans and updates also. It is extremely easy to install, so I recommend it for people who are not very tech savvy, but still need a decent application to protect their personal computer. Cons I was disappointed to find that it does not scan my emails nor websites that I am visiting. Fortunately, the email application I use does a very good job of scanning for virus's and spam emails. I recommend adding another application that would scan websites, if one is using the free Malwarebytes application. I would also like if it had a quick scan option, like AVG or CCleaner has. I was so impressed with how Maywarebytes could remove something that McAffe could not! Ever since then, Maywarebytes has been the first program I install on any new computer I own. It has never failed to stop a potential attack, and there are constant updates so I know I am getting the best product possible. Cons The free version asks for an upgrade every day. I have run the software on several of my computers and it has detected and quarantined potential "malicious" viruses. Pros It is free. I have been using the free version for several years and it has been recommended to me by several of our local and national technical support specialists. I recently upgraded to the paid version since the difference between it and the free version is that the paid version runs constantly in the background and protects your computer and network especially from ransomware. Protection against ransomware was my main reason for upgrading our computers to the paid version of Malwarebytes. Cons None that I am aware of. However, I wish it was made more clear whether you can have Malwarebytes and Windows Defender operating at the same time on your computer, or does one cancel the other out? Wanted something that could help me get rid of, or at least give me the sense that something was getting rid of, the malware on my system and this worked as advertised. Cons as with all malware removers, you don't really know what is happening or that it is at all so you just have to trust it. my biggest peeve with this software is how it would always hang when notifying me of paying to upgrade. i would always have to run task manager to stop it and get rid of it. This helps stop that and if you do get some, it removes it. I have all PCs in the office setup for daily scans that are set for overnight so everyone's PC is ready to rock the next business day. Pros Is everything a good enough answer for this? It actually works - trackers, pups, malware this takes care of it. Easy to use, even my end users can do it! With the paid version it auto updates and can setup daily scans. Cons I have yet to find one. It's one of the first things installed on a new PC. Cons i would say none all the features are lovable and extremely crafted with ease and quality in mind, but if i have to say something i kinda feel down whenever i do fresh install on a friend's pc who don't have connectivity then its just nothing more then that trash ideling and doing nothing cause it need to download the database(not comes with the package). Pros Malwarebytes antimalware is by far hands down the most useful, up-to-date, free software for basic or a minimal price for amazing software to rid your computer of any and all viruses malware of any source. I ran my own computer business for many years and finally retired and in the business down to a friend and Malwarebytes is hands down best tool in my arsenal. Cons If Malwarebytes had an online version the people could use even if their computer was so choked up with viruses and malware that installation of software was impossible, it would be a wonderful tool but as far as I know there isn't one. Cons Sometimes this software can bring false positives which can be a hassle. It is easy to deploy and get installed on a client's machine. It is easy to scan a client's machine and it is easy to use the web portal for control of the application. Cons As good as the software is, it is a bit on the expensive side, even compared to it's peers.
