Pros It had a very light impact to the device, even when scanning, and scans were quick and comprehensive. The interface is very straightforward, and easy to use. Also, the premium version will do real-time monitoring, which has been helpful in a couple of situations involving risky links. Cons While it gets cheaper if you need multiple licenses (for different devices), but if you're only using it on one device, the plan is a bit costly compared to similar products. The free version, for what it does, I have no complaints about (it's free). This is anti-malware not anti-virus but it does its job really really well! - The free solution itself is enough for many users. It does not just scan vulnerabilities and then ask you to pay to resolve them. - Is not a bloatware. Cons The only think that they can improve is removing the prompt to become a paid user. It can detect bad files and even help fix the files that were affected by the malware. Pros I really love this software is easy to use and it is efficient . I have had a lot of issues in the past with popups and it drove me insane! Don't click on the X in the corner fast enough and your screen is taken for a ride!The next thing you know, your computer somehow ends up with an unknown file that is corrupted! It is also able to be used as a standalone or if you prefer in conjunction with other antivirus programs. Cons The price for premium is a little high,but for regular users (just for home) they do have a free version. Reason for choosing Malwarebytes for Business Kaspersky Virus removal didn't have as good reviews and Windows Defender couldn't be counted on because of the ongoing updates to Windows. In a few cases malware intentionally deactivated my antivirus but this software removed and cleaned it. Pros It was the only software that cleared all of the malware out of my business and personal computer. It also acts as an anti malware/spyware program. It will catch Malicious items in real time as they are downloaded. Cons They need to expand the program and include a full antivirus/firewall/malware security program. That would be great. We ultimately moved away from it to Sophos. Pros I felt the user interface within the malwarebytes console was easy to use once you were familiar with how to navigate. I was able to use the console for client deployment and management of tracking what devices in our environment had the endpoint installed with ease. Malwarebytes was able to effectively detect the threats on our systems most of the time in terms of real-time protection with 97% accuracy. Cons The Malwarebytes scanner when performing the daily scans would slow down our clients considerably. We confirmed this by opening up task manager and verifying it was eating up most of the resources. Other considerations are it doesn't offer as many features compared to Norton. The software is incredibly effective at detecting and removing malware, and I have noticed a significant reduction in the number of threats since implementing it. Pros I enjoy not having to think about it.It uses minimal computer resources and operates silently in the background. Pros The software is very light and and does the job. The enterprise management console is very good and helps keep track of all the computers and servers that the software is installed on. You can trigger a scan from the console. The installation is also very easy if you need to roll it out to the field. Cons The UI of the software is not that great. I use it at least once a week just to make sure my computer is protected and clear of malware or other viruses. I did eventually learn about all of the possibilities the software has but it really would be nice if there was a way to be more upfront about all it does instead of having to mess around and dig into the software. Trial and error isn't always comforting when you're working with a computer you need to run every day and can't afford to replace. Pros I love that Malwarebytes does a really great job thoroughly checking every file. I like that there's a deep clean option and I trust that the software really does work well. It has helped find issues on my computer and made my computer run more quickly and keep it safe from malware more reliably than other similar options. Cons Learning everything Malwarebytes can do is takes some time. Adjusting settings and fixing things the way you want them to be instead of the way the default setting is, can be overwhelming. Sometimes it can feel like changing one thing will really mess up your computer. If something does go wrong, I know it will help me make it right. Pros I first heard about Malwarebytes years ago, when we were trying to figure out why our home PC was struggling. AVG antivirus wasn't finding anything, so we didn't think a virus was to blame. And yet it was slow. Then someone suggested we try Malwarebytes, and we saw our PC was completely overrun with little digital nasties. That experience has held through the years, to the point that Malwarebytes is a go-to for me when I'm trying to solve family computer woes. Our IT company, which puts a lot of thought and care into selecting products for keeping our computers safe, also uses Malwarebytes as part of its toolkit. It's so powerful and efficient. I use it in my day to day usage to safe myself and my pc fron unwanted malwares. Pros This software works like magic what no other softwares can do. I tried a lot to remove a malware but nothing worked, I was so frustrated because it was deleting and creating shortcuts of my file. It would open in the searchbox whenever I opened any browser. It wouldn't even let me search the word 'malware' in my browser. Then I installed malwarebytes with no hope left because I tried everything else. But to my utter surprise it worked like charm and removed the malware and saved me from an immense frustration. Cons It autostarts and so boot time increases which is frustrating sometimes. It can be turned off in windows settings though.
