But at the same time when I want to see what is happening and what I am paying for it seems to be clear as to what it is blocking. Cons Although I understand that it is blocking items... I still don't understand how to avoid any of these items.. I don't know maybe it is impossible to avoid any viruses or maleware getting to you while using the internet.. which is sad, but I sure would like to understand how to avoid the bad and understand a little more as to where they are coming from. Pros The thing that set Malwarebytes aside form any other anti-virus software is how cheap it is for the quality that it provides. And after buying license you can use the software for up to 10 other devices. The program works on any platform including Windows, Mac, iOS and Andriod , so both your computers and devices will stay virus free. Malwarebytes quickly scans your computer for threats and immediately quarantines so that no files are being corrupted. The software also checks for online threats and blocks all the websites that potentially can contain a virus. I and need the assurance that software like Malwarebytes provides me. It does exactly that. When my contract expires in another 6 months, I am positive that I will be renewing. Pros I really appreciate how Malwarebytes works behind the scenes and is always watching what is going on when I am connected. I have a three-computer subscription, which was offered at an excellent price for three years. It scans every 24 hours for anything it may have missed, while I'm working, and nothing slows down while it's looking. All I see, at 3:00 PM every day, is a confirmation that everything is A-OK, and occasionally it will tell me that there are a few things that should be quarantined or deleted. Malwarebytes catches malware and other nasties on my PC reliably, with very few false positives. Any false positives are easily added to a whitelist so they don't repeat. Cons If you want more advanced features like real-time protection, you have to pay for an upgrade. But the free version is excellent at catching malware that has already landed onto your device. It would not be a good option as a main antivirus because of the time it works, but as a second protective layer, it manages to find very small attacks that the main antivirus has not been able to detect. When not running the program it has an "offline" feature that tells you that you are either secure, need to run a scan since it has been a while, or that there is a threat which is convenient. Overall, the program has come highly recommended to me for being straight forward and user friendly, even for those that do not have a broad understanding of Malware. Cons It is not antivirus software! It must be used in tandem with another program. It will not prevent infection, just will let you know when you are at risk. The features are limited to keep the user interface simple. It does not scan web pages, emails, wifi etc. I am a forgetful person so I would like to see a feature where you can schedule scans. It can detect some of the deepest parts of your storage for any malicious files. Never had much of an issue with the program. Hardly takes up system resources. Cons One time an update hogged up the cpu and ram causing the pc to lag. But that eventually fixed itself with another update. Free version can't automatically detect any suspicious site you go to. " September 12, 2018 5.0 Pros I used half a dozen other anti viruses and anti malware tools before I bought this. And I havent used anything since. Its super simple to use. The scan is fast and efficient. The detection rates are great. And it is really REALLY lightweight. You wont even know its running in the background. And unlike other anti malwares this will also find any PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) on your system that got in because you click Install to quickly without noticing all the bundled bad stuff that came with some free software you used. Its such a good all in one utility that I replaced all my other PC protection with just this. Cons Nothing specific really.
