Transcription Typist Translation and Localization Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great software for finding and removing any spyware/malware/viruses from your PC" August 24, 2019 4.0 Overall this product came highly recommended from other various websites before I received it and despite sometimes having a tricky piece of malware that it can't find or remove I still think overall it's one of the best programs to clean your PC of any malware/viruses. As I said customer support is also very helpful and the scan function is pretty easy to use. Pros The software is easy to use and makes scanning for and removing any sort of viruses fairly easy. Customer support is also pretty responsive through email if you have any questions or problems. Cons Sometimes as deep as the program is able to scan and search your PC for any potential threats, there are still some viruses and malware that are smart enough to allude the programs search and therefore cannot be caught and removed. So far it has been very helpful to us. Pros When we got our new office computers Malwarebytes was recommended by our back office to use for our security. We had never used them before, but it has been a great experience so far. The computers have been running smoothly and Malwarebytes seems to catch all the bad sites before anything can happen. Cons It is pretty costly for a small business, but that is the price to protect our client's information. Pros I ran it in the background and it seems to have gone through all my files and checked for malware, my understanding is this is some sort of virus of sorts. They tried to fix it between version updates but it still happening (with less frequency than it used to). December 4, 2019 5.0 We save a ton of time using Malwarebytes, and we take comfort knowing that our system has a nice layer of additional protection from ransomware and other threats. Pros Malwarebytes is very lightweight and an overall excellent tool to use. Since implementing this tool, we've seen a marked improvement in system responsiveness/resource usage, as well as a reduction of adware and other junk. For one-time scans where the full suite is not installed, it does an amazing job of removing all traces of malware. It is rare that we encounter something so bad we need to resort to other tools or imaging the system. Cons We have not had a single bad experience with this tool. I used it everyday with my laptop and it did great for free, even recommend it for a friend who bought the yearly subscription and she enjoys it as well. Pros Malwarebytes is a great option for quick and simple searches to see if your computer is corrupted. I like that it scans through multiple files and it is not intrusive like other options. Simple to download and really easy to use, just open the app and click scan. The app has a basic free service and yearly subscription for advanced options. Cons Although the basic option is great, it is not automatic. The user has to initiate it, but that can be fixed if you buy the subscription. The basic option also only cleans small breaches. Pros It finds malware. It finds many different types of malware, more than other malware removal software currently published I feel. It has been around as a go to malware removal tool for tech's since XP days and still upholds it's top notch quality every year it has been published since. Cons The free trial of the premium version of Malwarebytes has a real-time protection, anti-virus ability built in and it auto launches during the trial. It does so without a warning that too many types of anti-virus on a computer can lead to many computer problems. Thank you Malwarebytes. Pros The Free Version is pretty trouble free, worry free. It will warn you to check for updates to signatures and scan every few weeks. The premium, will automatically update every few hours and scan at your scheduled times. What happens with the discovered software/malware in either version is up to you, but in both cases, until you make the decision, it is isolated so it can't harm your machine. And if you tell Malwarebytes to Ignore a PUP, it DOES! Other programs sometimes FORGET Cons I have found about the program that I dislike or could not work. It was suggested to be used in conjunction with a good anti-virus software. Over the years, I have integrated it with several different anti-virus software products and found it to work well with all of them. It protects my several computers with no interference with the speed or efficiency of any of them and quarantines any malware that it finds, automatically. When I started working at my current position, I was actually very pleasantly surprised to find that out, because I have used Malwarebytes on a personal level for many years. This software has a great user interface, but most importantly: It works. That's all that really matters in the antivirus community, but that's what Malwarebytes has always excelled at. Personally, I use Malwarebytes along with another antivirus software, but every single time I have a problem with any of my computers, it seems that Malwarebytes is always the one to detect and remove the problem.
