When it finds a potential harmful file it will automatically pop up and give you the option of what to do with it before it does anything with the file. Cons The only disadvantages I could think of is it does not have a quick scan option, which is not a deal breaker and if it were somehow able to monitor and detect harmful emails that were in your inbox before you opened them would make it that much better. May 16, 2018 5.0 I was able to get rid of the most annoying browser hijacker, it was the only one who was able to do it, and it was entirely free! Pros This software is the best when it comes into getting rid of a Browser Hijacker, no other anti-virus or software was able to get rid of the problem. Besides this, it has been a very reliable antivirus overall, the free version has great features. The user interface is beautifully done in terms of graphics, and it is user friendly. It also has a great tool, which helps you uninstall unwanted software in your computer, including the deletion of any registry related or connected to the unwanted software. I strongly recommend using Malwarebytes. Cons The premium option does not have a lifetime suscription, you can only pay for a year or 2 year suscription. We try to install it on is minicomputers as possible. Cons Windows software changed from a lifetime license to a subscription model that was a little bit of a difficult step for us to accept because we support computers for variety of clients and added to our total cost of doing business in overhead. However, for a small client or home users it's a no brainer to load this on their computer and pay a small yearly fee to keep their computers relatively free from issues caused by viruses and malware. April 30, 2019 4.0 Malwarebytes is a critically important anti-malware application. What 10 years ago we'd say about anti-virus software and it's necessity, should now be said about Malwarebytes. You simply need this software. Now that said, if you have a serious infection, and have gone out of your way to slam it as bad as it gets, it might only be one prong of the attack needed to clean your computer up. But at least Malwarebytes will help you get to where you need to be. This is the first line of defense, and if you don't have any, you should seriously consider Malwarebytes. Pros Malwarebytes will do most of what you need. It'll keep you clean, and it'll make sure you are clean. It's pretty fast, and without a large amount of bloat. If your computer has some issues, chances are Malwarebytes, combined with some other tools, will do the job. Cons Malwarebytes is available in a few different packages. For the consumer version, they try and push their money making full versions, which like many apps, slow things down and are a little unnecessary. You barely even know that it is running, and it does a great job of finding and removing malware. Cons I don't think that I really have any complaints, the only thing I can think of is that sometimes Malwarebytes has issues when reporting back that the end computer is actually protected. Pros Complete protection for your computer, it protect from online threats and malware. It has a real time protection and when ever there is a attack it notifies you immediately to take action. It has been the only software that has really helped me protect my computer. The first time I installed it show me immediately the threats and protected my device. Pros It is easy to use and you don't need to look into the manual to figure out how to operate it. When you need to train users to use it frequently - that's a big deal. The monitoring tool is efficient and capable of keeping you out of trouble. Scanning is thorough and vicious. You might be surprised by the result of the first scan. The other good thing is that it is not resource-demanding. It doesn't drag the system down when active.
