I also need my computer to run fast and efficient and if I have malware on there it will do the opposite, so I use this weekly to check and make sure my computer is running good and I don't have any issues! Pros I love that this was so easy to set up without all of the extra stuff trying to be sold and installed on my computer. So many companies try to get you to install their scanner, just to have it consumed with spam, upgrades and licenses. Malwarebytes was effective and efficient when it came to informing me what was on my computer (if any) and when it was complete. Great software that anyone could use and get installed fast. Pros Malwarebytes is the best malware defense software on the market. Packed with tons of features and reasonably priced, it was a no brainer for us to purchase our licenses. Cons Not so much about the program itself but probably because it is so popular and so efficient, it tends to be a target of the bad boys and you occasionally see popups telling you that it needs an update when it doesn't. I began using at work and soon installed it on both my home computers. It's an excellent line of defense against malware and viruses. I use it in addition to my regular antivirus program, which gives me an extra layer of protection. When I run a scan, I can review the results and see what malware has been identified and quarantined. Malwarebytes has definitely been instrumental in keeping my computers clean and safe, and I've recommended it to friends. Pros Running in addition to my regular antivirus, Malwarebytes is great at identifying and neutralizing threats that my antivirus program may not have caught. I use both together to help keep my computer secure. It's very easy to use, and scans are fast. Cons I don't personally have any complaints about Malwarebytes. Some might find it too simple for their tastes, since it doesn't have a ton of complicated settings and functions. Personally, I appreciate the straightforward and easy to use design. It was the only program that managed to remove a GPU miner completely from my machine, while others failed to do so ( it kept coming back ). Browser guard feature is something that I really like as well. Pros It provides great value for the money. It has a fully functional anti-virus with a really good detection rate. Real-time protection, scanning, signature based detection etc. It offers multiple scan types as well along with automatic updates. Cons Free version lacks some key things. Sometimes it does pop-up a threat detected windows for things that aren't necessarily a threat, however that does not happen very often. I of course run an anti-virus software at all time on all my devices, but Malwarebytes always comes in big when I use it every Monday to clean my devices before starting the week. It always seems to find files that do not belong and possible threats to my data. I've been using them for years now after watching a review on YouTube. Great work! Primary usage is a managed solution in tandem with other AV products. With a small amount of tweaking Malwarebytes plays well with others and creates a solid endpoint AV solution. Pros Functionality, it is built from the ground up to detect and remove malware from computer systems. It does this quickly and efficiently removing both garbage applications and actual malicious software. Cons It is a weaker on virus' but this product was never designed to be a full endpoint protection solution, it was designed to supplement the deficiencies in AV solutions and it does this well. Cons Gee, this is going to be difficult, because it's a pretty darn good company/programs. One thing I do wish they had, is a boot able program to scan before you boot up. I have used it on both software's and it works great. The best feature on this product is how user friendly it is. Even users who are not tech savy can easily operate it. Cons Malwarebytes can do only so much for a computer or device. I think that he application has many features, but I think that they are all spread in different applications that you have to individually download. I have no trouble navigating. Compatible with any main AV scanner or tools we have used so far. Cons This is not a con to us, but could be a Con to someone expecting an AV software. It’s not scary for me to enter into suspicious websites because I know I have malwarebytes. But I still don’t enter these suspicious websites because what if these websites have a program that doesn’t let malwarebytes detect them. Pros I love the process of scanning the computer. I used to think that probably can’t really determine if I have a virus or not, because it never detected any virus in my computer. However, when my friend had issues in her computer, I downloaded malwarebytes for her computer and scanned her computer, there was plenty of viruses she’s got, and ever since I realized it’s actually a cool app to protect computers. It took over after spybot died. Never had any problems while running this. I love it, the free version is awesome. I have the paid as well (old lifetime license, which is amazing they still support it). I always recommend this software and use it when fixing/cleaning computers. Cons The free trial at first can be confusing to users. They call me eventually when it runs out and worry because they see "buy now" and I have to tell them, no, the free works fine as well. This software does a great job working in the background without using significant memory. I highly recommend it to protect computers from threats. Pros \-Seamless integration into Windows OS. -Works in the background without using much of the hard drive memory. -Does a superb job catching threats. Cons The software did miss one threat which was an attempt to control the computer remotely after a phishing attempt. This happened three years ago, however we have not seen such a miss lately.
