You can run this in addition to other anti-virus products; it does not slow your system down Cons some of the reporting is very IT specific, so if you use this be sure to have an IT person that watches the logs and that can help you when it tells you there is a problem that it found. Their website makes it so impossible to have any conversation with anybody. I personally wish to cancel my subscription, but cannot get any technical assistance. Why am I cancelling. I purchased Malwarebytes years ago on an old email address, which has now been cancelled. Malwarebytes have been given my new email address, my proof of purchase but will not refund the subscription! Be aware of this as if you really need help, you are out on your own. Its been deleted, just need the cash back Malwarebytes, and have advised my bank to stop any withdrawal from Malwarebytes. I recommend it to all my friends and family. Pros Malware bytes is one of the best anti-malware software on the market. I use it on all my devices to scan for unwanted adware,malware and trojans. It has a paid and free version, I have used both and I prefer the paid. However, if you're on a budget, the free version works just fine. Cons Some of the paid features would have been very beneficial for the free version. Malwarebytes also has a few pop up advertisements to purchase the paid version which can get frustrating to deal with. I always recommend it to all my friends and family who are having computer issues, the free version is stellar, and the paid version adds real-time protection. Pros I love how many potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) Malwarebytes catches that my primary anti-virus overlooks - it finds and removes plugins and adware that my anti-virus skips and helps keep my computer clean. Cons I don't have any major complaints about Malwarebytes, though I do wish they would offer lifetime licenses again. Very effective for cleaning malware. What i like most is the effectiveness of this software and malwarebytes can catch the most recent malwares very easily and completely. Their support is also good. Doesn't need much user interaction which is also an excellent part. Cons Though the overall quality is very good but there is a specific problem i have faced many times. August 23, 2019 5.0 As the title says, alsways have a copy with me, to any job I go to disinfect a computer, this is the first software I run and kills most crap, sometimes even viruses. Just really great and for free for home users, a little for the business users. Pros Easy to install, easy to run and the tool is scanning by itself and gives the infections at the end. When it deletes the malware it truly does the thing, sometimes you need to restart the clients pc, to be sure its deleted or it needs to remove after a reboot. Simplicity it the keyword! Pros Very easy to use - Has a Simple interface, but can dig down to more advanced options if you want. One of the best scanners and cleaners of malware for windows. It appears to pick up some of the most malware of most alternate scanners, does a good job of cleaning up and doesn't take a lot of system resources. Usually have this installed on most systems that I setup for customers. Cons Free version doesn't have all of the proactive monitoring features including stoping exploit attacks, shielding against malicious websites and blocking ransomware attacks. It has protected my computer from attacks for almost 3 years now. My computer has never been sluggish, never crashed, glitched, surged, or had any problems. I contribute a good part of that to Malwarebytes awesome protection. Pros When I started my job almost 3 years ago and I was given a new laptop, my computer maintenance person had installed Malwarebytes on it. He set is up to run weekly. I have been so impressed by the free version of this program. My computer has been 100% protected this entire time. Before this job, I believed all free software was a scam of some sort. Malwarebytes has made a believer out of me! Cons I can only use the free version. I can not afford the upgrade at this time. For a free software, I have zero complaints. Malwarebytes has changed much over the years but one thing has stayed the same: it always features the latest virus and malware defintions when scanning so you can be sure that your computer does not contain any malicious software or files. It also comes with features to protect your PC in realtime, although this is not free whereas the scanning feature is free and works great for a free product. Pros Easy to use, automatically updates so the latest malware threats are not missed Cons The program updates automatically before scanning, which may cause issues on slow internet connections. " November 26, 2018 5.0 Overall, I would say I had a great experience with Malwarebytes. It is very easy to use and sits at the top toolbar on my desktop, so I can open it at any time. It works regularly to scan my computer, which is something I really like. I never had any issues with the software. Pros I like that there is a free version that continuously checks my computer to make sure there isn't any malware. The software does routine scans, which is really nice. When it does scan, it shows users anything that can be harmful malware and helps to eradicate the malware. I've used it a ton, and it updates regularly. Cons What I like least about this software is that it also has a paid version, so the free version doesn't get all of the features of the paid version. This is not really a big deal. I still think the software is great, and I will continue to use the free version to ensure my computer is not succumbing to any harmful malware. Pros My chrome browser's default search was changed from Google.com. Then I found about this on the internet. It worked like a charm and the search was reverted back. When i first scanned my pc with malwarebytes it showed me 300 viruses which were not detected by esset and avg. So it basically cleaned every single virus and my pc was like new!! Malwarebytes was the hero in both instances, locating and eliminating the virus and saving our system.
