November 26, 2019 5.0 Overall, I really like and believe in this malware removal software. It is just one of many tools in our arsenal to protect our environment from malware. Pros Malwarebytes is very easy to install and easy to use. I like how it takes out the guess work of what's important and what's not important. It is very thorough and I feel it does a complete job of identifying malware and removing it. Cons What I like least about the software is that it can take a very long time to scan and can at times seem to make the computer responsiveness a little sluggish. Review Source Brandon C. Easy scanning and removal of malware is quickly and easily done using Malwarebytes. Pros Just for peace of mind, I like knowing that my computer is free of Malware and a simple scan using this software serves just that purpose. Cons Subscription-based plans. I wish there was a perpetual license that I could purchase, with the option to upgrade to the newer software. However, most businesses with software like this are using subscription-based pricing. I appreciate the updates and occasional free trials for the "real time" protection. Cons It does take quite awhile to run the scan and feel that it slows my computer down a bit until it's finished. When it comes to simple things like grandma's internet browser redirecting to malicious pages, a quick sweep from the free version is more than enough. And for business purposes, the software pays for itself SO quickly, as it gets you / your co-workers back up and running in no time. Pros As someone fairly familiar with computers in general, this software is absolutely universal in the anti-malware world. I formerly worked in tech support, so whenever we even caught a whiff of malware - something that's all too common in today's world - it was so easy to deploy it on the customer's machine and 99% of the time it wiped the problem out immediately. I still use it regularly for clients with computer issues, or for friends/parents/grandparents with internet issues. Cons Ease of use isn't great. Especially for the individual user... when I've deployed this on friends' or parents' machines, I've always ended up being the tech-support call with addition questions about Malwarebytes. That being said, it usually just takes one use to wipe out the Malware, so that's not a huge issue. Review Source TT Tim T. Pros I've used both the free version and the paid edition. The free one is solid in terms of removing many spyware and malware problems at no cost. The interface is relatively easy to use, though it does take longer to scan with the free service. The paid version is excellent and fairly inexpensive, if you can afford to pay for malware protection. They offer free trials too and no credit card is required for the trial. The paid version is perfect for small businesses that rely heavily on computers. Cons The free edition takes too long to scan and does not always seem to catch spyware nor does it offer real-time protection (that's only available to paying customers). Review Source Rahat R. It is easy-to-use and has many functions that are available for free, although you are able to upgrade for a cost, to access even more functions. It it less intrusive compared to other anti-virus software, and has a pleasant interface. Cons Malwarebytes can be persistent about upgrading the software, especially after the "trial" is completed. That is why we switched. Pros The software is easy to use and works in the background. Especially useful was the fact that it found and cleaned a lot of viruses that the paid version of Norton software did not. Pros The software is ultra-easy to use, after installing it just press scan and your​ system will be checked. After the App found something it removes​ it reliable​. May 22, 2018 5.0 Pros This review is for Malwarebytes free edition for home/small business use. I have used the premium edition before and appreciated its deep clean approach, of viruses and malware, in the computer. But there was a lot of extra bits and pieces that I did not need to use so went back to the free edition. I have not looked back. Latest ransom ware exploits were discovered, blocked and quarantined beforehand. Another "no names mentioned" anti virus/malware program missed it. Cons Not so much cons as more annoyances. A few glitches were discovered using the paid edition, perhaps having to do with my particular system, have not shown up in free. That being said, paid edition is great for use in multi computer scenerios or where you want/need the extra benefits associated with paid. Cons I think it does a pretty good job, but the con of not having all those notifications is that I feel a little like I'm out of the loop most of the time. It's probably smarter to have a real-time protection and have this as a +1 for elaborate heuristics spyware cleaning. Pros It is fairly easy to use, not too hard on your system's resources. Other than detecting traditional viruses and worms, this one also works quite well for adwares and rootkits as well. Cons Maybe the scan time for the complete system might need some optimization. June 27, 2018 5.0 Pros I have been a user of both the free and paid versions of this software for years now. It constantly keeps getting better. Malwarebytes will typically find things that other anti-malware software will miss. I run it along side my AV and haven't experience any issues with conflicts. I have used this in both a personal and business setting and it works great in both. Cons The free version does have a lot of popups and pushes for getting the paid version. But, of course, it is providing a great software for free so it is understandable. Cons Consumer pricing for this product is very competitive, but even with aggressive Education discounts, the Enterprise version of the program is just bit too costly.
