I appreciate that we can process payments more easily but hate that we've had so many glitches with the process.

Pros

It is easier to process ACH and credit card payments since we started utilizing this software. We also now have a clear record of historical transactions.

Cons

There have been numerous issues with the setup process. The first few months they were massively overcharging us for the service. Additionally, it would take them days to process the payments. Also, the monthly statement for several months haven't matched what they deposit into it account and they have yet to clarify there disparity despite our attempts to reach or.

### "Will NEVER Use Paya Again"

More than 7 months ago Paya stopped depositing money into our account. We've contacted representatives, who will work with us for a minute...we know the problem stemmed from them categorizing our Checking account as a Savings account, but then the person we're speaking with stops answering us. We've passed the issue over to our bank, but I don't think they're having any more luck. Problems will happen, but 7 months is ridiculous.

Pros

It connected with Sage. That's it. It's not particularly easy to use, and the fees aren't any lower than anything else.

Cons

We can't get our money out of them, and only sporadically get replies. It shouldn't be so difficult to contact someone.

I would recommend this product for processing payments. One step process.

Pros

This software is very simple to process our credit/debit card payments. We have been using for over 10 years and no issues. Nice to automatically post a payment to patient's account without having to do on credit card machine and then enter into practice management system.

Cons

Every once in a while, there will be an error when trying to process payments, but is fixed very quickly usually within minutes.

Reason for choosing Paya

fees were more feasible and simple to post. Again one step process.

Shady company I am going to fight for what my contract said but I feel this is a shady company.

Pros

Ability to store credit cards or send bills

Cons

Rough start with minimal training . Account was spelled wrong to a long time to fix but the worst is I went with them for the pricing. I have it in writing and signed contract. They are charging me 1 percent more and a ton of fees. They tried to fix it but still not the rate I switched to them for. This is illegal and the did a bait and switch.

### "Integrates with Sage, but that's about it."

Not great. Would not recommend.

Pros

I like that you can enter payments directly into Sage software on the invoices, so there is no extra step later to apply payments.

Cons

No customer service. The only way you can get a person on the phone is by hitting the button that you want to cancel your account. Otherwise the phone system just cuts you off. After explaining my problem, which was no batch showing for a certain day, I was told they would research the problem and I heard nothing back. Also, the only card reader they offer does not print out its own receipt. You still have to print out the receipt on a regular printer which is a huge waste of paper. This was the only option to be able to integrate with Sage desktop is the only reason I tried it. The fees are comparable to what we pay with our other payment processor. I kept the other processing machine in use in case Paya did not work out. I don't think it's worth the integration to totally switch over.

Beware!!! Do not use this software

Had an agent you represented this company

Cons

Paya was set up to process payments and deposit the money in our bank account. Paya fraudulently debited thousands of dollars from the bank account on nine different counts over a period of six months. They alternatively used a few different business names and made several unauthorized debits. Whatever software you choose, please be cautioned if you are choosing Paya. Be prepared for money getting stolen and a big run around if you try to recover your stolen money.

### "Does what I need it to with minimal muss and fuss"

We are a non-profit, and appreciate the price break that Sage Payment solutions provides us.

Pros

When I have needed it, customer service was very helpful. Everything just happens automatically which makes the accounting job easier.

Cons

I don't log into the Virtual terminal very often so I am not familiar with where to find what I need. It always takes a bit of hunting around to figure how to do what I need to. So in that respect, it isn't as intuitive as would be ideal. But luckily, I don't need to do this often!

I had no choice, this is what the office was using.

Pros

End of month and changing date reports are good. Have to go back to reprint previous months report if need another copy

Cons

Very repetitive you have to go line by line to break down a credit card bill. I guess its the same in all systems. Also to reprint a monthly report you need to change the month back and forth.

Sage allows our organization to safe time and money to process donation payments. We enjoy the fact that transactions are easy to look up and review, and hope to continue using the product in the future to come.

Pros

For a small fee, Sage allows our organization to process thousands of donations at a quick and effective rate. The software itself we use to reconcile donations, and payments are easily found when it is necessary to look. We enjoy the fact that the customer support is also quick to respond and was able to help us with any questions we need.

Cons

One con we have found is that the software will occasionally crash, but a simple reboot of the hardware fixes the issue every time!

I have so far really liked using sage; it let us set up credit and debit card processing for our small business and it integrates with our hosted software. I like how it can take virtual checks, which helps me from having to run to the bank all the time and considering that fact that it plays well with my store front software it takes care of almost everything without me having to log in their site. BUT if you wanted/needed to take payments through their site it could easily do that. Most of all we are getting INSANE rates on running our cards. I had another company reach out to me that was convinced they could beat our rates and they couldn't even come close. The sage virtual terminal site is okay, its fairly intuitive, and gets the job done. The only negative that I came across was when I was setting it up (new business) I couldn't figure out which sage to call because they have so many different services. I finally got redirected to the right one, but it took a while. They have been an asset for our small business!

### "Way to Accept Credit Card Payments"

Pros

We chose Paya because it integrated well with Sage to allow us to have our invoices paid by credit card. Paya does make it easy for our customers to pay invoices via credit card.

Cons

Paya is not easy to work with on the backend and there is very limited customization that you can do with how it is setup, which causes issues if people don't pay how Paya expects them to pay an invoice. Their customer service usually takes a long time to answer and often assumes that our accounting software is the problem, rather than them so we end up going in circles trying to find the right person for an issue.

Pros

It is very user friendly. Anyone with a phone or tablet is able to process payments on the go which is awesome!

Cons

Sometimes it can be slow or lag. This often has to do with the wifi connection and not the actual product itself.

Difficult to set up, unhelpful setup personelle, very high rates, cancelled then started charging a year later, won't refund money.
