This tool enabled me to decide on all the strategic areas suggested by the Executive Committee by answering the questions: Details of the project, Main objectives, Resources, Description, Main gains, Budget, Change impacts; with the final aim of retaining only the 3 major axes fundamental to the Enterprise Project.

Pros

Quickly and precisely formulate the strategic directions in a few words, figures, advantages, disadvantages and consequences, so that only those that are a priority and fundamental to the business project are retained.

Cons

The Accessibility/Issues matrix, which is undoubtedly one of the major points of this tool, seems to me to be more suitable for ETIs and large groups than for SMEs such as our company.

We decided to try Edward Suite while setting up a program with multiple projects. At the very start (1st demo) we were convinced that the features of the tool would be very helpful. Using Edward suite since the very start of that program, was very helpful to seting it up. After some times, we observed that maybe our team was too small, maybe we needed to get more support to be able to run the tool in a more confortable way. Our decision to stop was taken mostly because our workload -at this moment- was too high. However, we confirm that Edward Suite is a very useful and well designed tool.

Pros

Program and project management features, at hight level, are very "collaborative" which is a mostly important advantage. The ease-of-use of the tool is a very good point as well. It is not necessary to be and "IT expert" to understand and manage it. Support given by Edward suite team is great !

Cons

Edward suite seems to have been designed for relatively "big" structures, as a small team, we needed to play multiple roles which could be disturbing and time consuming.For a small team, as we are, the necessary availability to implement the tool was not simple to manage.

We succeeded to set up more than 20 projects over 1 year with several projects at the same time. We have saved time and money in order to focus on the problems to be solved and not on the formalization of project progress ( = value creation). In addition, it has made it possible to change the mentality of project management where skateholders become responsible for the commitments they make.

Include project structures, their content at the beginning of the project ( wee need to be align before set up)

De cette manière, nos prospects comprennent tout de suite ce que nous allons faire (cadrage, organisation, équipe, jalons, livrables, comitologie, budget) et voient que c'est très processé et qu'il n'y a plus qu'à dérouler,- Nos managers sont en mesure de piloter des missions complexes à distance en ayant la vision en temps réel de l'avancement des programmes et des projets.En tant que consultant en transformation des entreprises : - Nous accompagnons les dirigeants, décideurs, membres du COMEX ou du CODIR sur la cadrage des programmes de transformation de leur entreprise. EDWARD Suite n'est pas un outil de gestion de projet de plus sur le marché. Nous avons équipé et formé tous nos consultants car c'est l'outil idéal pour cadrer et piloter des programmes et des projets. Il embarque nativement les méthodologies qui permettent de faire aboutir les projets de manière collaborative. Et ça, ca vaut de l'or !

Cons

A l'utilisation au quotidien on comprend vite que EDWARD Suite a été architecturé autour de principes structurants. Je m'explique. EDWARD c'est une méthodologie qui a fait des preuves et qui a été digitalisée. Ca fait plus de 20 ans que je fais du conseil et avant EDWARD, je le faisais dans Excel. Evidemment, EDWARD va bien plus loin. Au début c'est un peu déroutant de ne pas pouvoir modifier les libellés de rôle ou de ne pas pouvoir paramétrer des types d'action, par exemple. Mais en peu de temps, on se rend compte que finalement et bien c'est pas plus mal. Ca évite d'ajouter de la complexité là où, finalement, ce n'est pas nécessaire.L'éditeur promet plus d'intégration avec les agendas du marché dans une très prochaine version. Ce n'est pas dérangeant au quotidien, mais ce sera un vrai plus.

Mise à part Trello qui ne fait que de l'organisation d'idées ou de tâches, les autres outils que nous avons utilisé en interne ou chez nos clients n'embarquent pas suffisamment de fonctions pour sécuriser un programme de transformation. Nous avons fini par les utiliser sur leurs fonctions premières, à savoir, la gestion de tickets et le pointage sur tâches pour l'un et la construction de planning pour l'autre. Pour résuler, ce sont tous de bons produits mais aucun ne couvre le périmètre couvert par EDWARD (ex : suivi de la gouvernance et des actions associées).
