### "Great choice for thinking, notetaking and planning"

May 23, 2022

5.0

xtiles help me organize my thoughts and easily find all data I added earlier

Pros

xtiles allow me to structure my data as I want. I can create pages, tabs, and blocks without the mess on a single board. Creating subpages for describing items in detail is a helpful feature for arranging my data and thoughts.

Cons

I'm looking forward to a macOS desktop app

The xtiles app is a simple, and lightweight tool with a fast search. There are no mess of buttons and features that I have to learn.

### "A tool that helped us creating creatives and plan releases"

May 24, 2022

5.0

xTiles is really good for preparing content for our PR activities and planning our marketing in general

Pros

I like the way we can organize our pieces of content in a document using tiles and tabs. We normally separate tabs for drafts and clean copies for our creatives. Subpages also help to store some inspirations and personal notes. A big plus is the ability to comment and get notifications when someone comments on your notes which is really handy for collaborative work.

Cons

Lack of rich text formatting. I'd like to have at least several kinds of fonts and text colors. Because eventually our text content most often has different fonts, colors, and sizes, so it looks uncompleted in the tool.

### "Was hoping I would love it... but I did not. "

June 18, 2025

4.0

xTiles was suggested by a couple of the big podcasters I frequently listen to. From the promo hype it seemed that it would be a lot more straightforward and user friendly than it actually was. I tried xTiles for awhile to see if I could get used to it and paid to upgrade to premium. I found that I kept just reverting back to my old Google Calendar and Keep because I would get frusterated trying to navigate and click through the area I was trying to find on xTiles. Lots of clicks in just to do simple things. I do think for a team environment, or for larger project management that xTiles would likely be an excellent platform, but for basic personal use it ended up being too much. I do really appreciate that when I contacted customer support asking about a refund I received a quick and helpful response, and the refund was back in my account within a few days. Fortunately I was still within the refund period for a yearly subscription, and they honored that a processed quickly.

Pros

\- Lots of options for Customization - Lots of bells and whistles to use for a variety of tasks/projects - Visually appealing with options to see layouts that encorporate the whole big picture, or drill down to specifics - Lots of templates to choose from or to use as inspiration to create your own

Cons

\- Lots of options and functionality also means lots of steps and clicks - Leans to the expensive side for just my own personal use - Doesn't fully integrate well between desktop/laptop

Heard positive things from promos on podcasts and I liked the thought of more customization options and layout options

### "The tool for streamlining my content campaign planning and execution"

June 21, 2022

5.0

So far I have a positive impression of the tool. I'm not sure I've discovered all the possible usecases of it, both for my work and for personal. I currently use it for tasks like preparing our blog publications and social media posts which have been covered well with xTiles.

Pros

I've been able to cut my time spend organizing publication materials for our blog almost in half. The ability to structure content with features like tiles drag&drop, combining tiles and nesting documents with my tiles is great. I like that I can collaborate with my team too. Together we use xTiles for planning our sprints.

Cons

I also use xTiles as a personal note-taking app and it really lacks a decent mobile version for this. Except for this, I haven't faced any other drawbacks.

### "I've been able to simplify my research"

May 23, 2022

5.0

It's a very simple solution to go with. The UI is really intuitive. It took me just several minutes to get a grasp of how to use it and navigate in the tool. Eventually, I've streamlined most of the steps of my analysis.

Pros

I like how easy it's to use the tool. I can quickly break my findings into fragments using the cards (tiles) and move them around just like I need. Also I like the possibility of creating sub-pages. It allows me to avoid cluttering of the main page.

Cons

The tool really lack a web clipper and ability to make basic calculations with tables which makes me to switch between Google Sheets and then to copy&paste my calculations into xTiles.

### "Made my organizing work more pleasant"

October 24, 2022

5.0

xTiles solved my biggest pain point of having all my lists and materials for a workshop dispersed in various places. I really like the interface and how I can play around with elements on a document page which is also a little pleasure. I've been using xTiles for 4 months so far and now I'm doning this gradual shift from only-work tool to a personal-use tool as well.

Pros

I have to track many aspects when organizing workshops. So, what I like about xTiles is that I can break those aspects into tabs of a single document page which is dedicated to a particular workshop. Nothing is lost and everything relevant to an event is in a single place. This makes my planning process so much more pleasurable as there's no more rush when something is need to be found urgently.

Cons

Not much. The only thing is that I'd like to have specific templates for organizing events, workshops, in particular. Right now I use copies of my document pages for the previous events.

### "I am in love with this app! "

March 6, 2023

5.0

Pros

I am in love with this app! It's a multidimensional workspace that allows me to think, create, and experiment! It has a great native user interface! I think that this is one of the most useful apps that you can get for researching, planning, and writing, but you can also use it as a regular note taking app because of its great flexibility and its huge picture that I am very impressed with.

Cons

There is not really much to discuss when it comes to this particular topic since there isn't much to say about it

### "Big picture before your eyes"

May 23, 2022

5.0

Very first tool that allow to draw the big picture and detailed it to small pieces. You can start from one page and deep dive with sub pages. Using tabs like in spreadsheet is something really new in note-taking apps, but it's help a lot with structuring and navigation.

Pros

Easy to learn, quick start from scratch, but enough powerful and flexible.

Cons

I want more features to collaboration mode, instead of comments and mention, I would want to have reactions and due dates or reminders.

### "An exceptional choice for writers"

May 5, 2022

5.0

I'm writing more fluidly and productively, which after 30 books on a variety of platforms, is terrific. In coaching writers I would recommend this app over any other tools.

Pros

I use xTiles to write articles and books and find it simpler than brainstorming and content creation products like Miro and Roam. I spend less time managing the environment which gives me more time for ideation and production. The flexible board interface literally facilitates the thinking and organizing of ideas, research, and content. The architecture of tabs is uniquely useful to stay focused and connected to all my content as it evolves and unfolds.

Cons

Like any app there are features I'm looking forward to, hoping that the growth sustains the elegance of simplicity designed into this app.

### "Tool for ideation and hypothesis notes"

July 1, 2022

5.0

I started using xTiles because of a very pleasing UI. I keep on using the tool because in my team we all like to shape our ideas and the proofs we found into hypotheses with it.

Pros

It's a simple app to go with for creative part of the work. We normally brainstorm together on the new hypotheses, as well as store proofs for them. It's a very good tool for ideation thanks to how simple the UX is.

Cons

It's not really suitable for creating big documents like I used to make in Evernote where I was dumping basically everything related to the project and more. xTiles is more a one-pager. It wasn't easy to change the habit of creating the "long-reads" and so I was still using Evernote for a while gradually switching to xTiles.

### "My one stop app (mobile and desktop) for informationmanagement!"

June 22, 2022

4.0

In today's information society, I am fed information all day long. I am also a student and I have to read literature and write articles for various professional products. In all cases I need a canvas to work on. I am very visually minded and have searched the corners of the earth for the perfect app that meets my expectations. After trying different visual and flat text apps I came across xTiles by accident. And I really know what I'm talking about when I mention that I've tried different apps. xTiles has a very short learning curve and after 5 minutes you know exactly what the intention is. Then comes the funniest part. Developing your own use cases. And if you don't have any inspiration for a while, you can choose from dozens of YouTube videos in which use cases are discussed. The team is also great. Every question is answered and every team member is stressed how you as a user want to use their product.

Pros

I use it for: notes, visual planning, GTD, taskmanager, book reviews, visionboard and collaboration.

Cons

At this moment the product fullfills my information management needs en can't think of any.
