Way back when the only utilities you had were those you had written yourself (in a DOS batch file). We've come a long way baby! Advanced SystemCare (ASC) runs on all of my home systems, including some older laptops now assigned to specific functions like monitoring the weather station, running the DMX lighting, acting as a repository for all our multi-media collection, and stuff like that. ASC even keeps these old machines, 10 years plus in one case, running clean and updated. Pros Advanced SystemCare provides some of the most commonly used file and operating system utilities all in one place. Each utility is kept up-to-date in its features and functionality and housed under one roof to provide a common user interface. They also take the work out of manually running indivdual utilities, unless you want to, by seemlessly running and merging the results of multiple utilities. You can manually review each item or select an option to let the program automatically respond for you. It took awhile, but I eventually checked that box after months of manually checking what the program had decided was required without finding any issues. Cons The "impression" upon purchasing the "Pro" package is that one will have access to all the utilities the program provides access to. I would suggest to go for this product if your computer is showing some performance issues or some virus attack. Pros I love the real-time monitor the most. It gives me so much more information on how my computer is doing, especially on the RAM usuage. The CPU usuage is also important as it is telling me which APP in my computer is using most of the CPU time. Also, the Registry cleaner comes with Advanced SystemCare Ultimate performs really well. After a few run on the Registry cleaner, my computer speeds up a lot. Cons Not really anything I don't like. But it would be great to have some skin changes options in the future.
