Pros
Love how you can manually tinker in the playground for all API calls they have before moving them to code. My experience with their amazing support team certainly won me over.
The overall experience has been very good. The customer support is great and the service is unmatchable.

Cons
We needed to estimate the impact of a service that we offer to researchers by compiling the amount of publications that have resulted from the service. SerpApi eased most of the burden.
I can't think of any problems that aren't solved by paying more for more searches/faster responses, etc.
Support documentation is not as clear as it could be so take some trial an error to get working.
My only complaint is that the Google Sheets plug-in doesn’t work the way I’d expect it to. I struggled with it and gave up, just relying on the web-based tool for now.

"Fast and reliable"
Overall: We've relied on SerpAPI for 7 years for critical real-time use cases and we've never run into a problem. What more can you ask of an API service?
Pros: Their API is faster and more reliable than anything else I've tried. It's easy to integrate, their support is excellent, and they have flexible billing that won't halt your operations if you go over your limit.
Cons: It's not the cheapest solution if you make a huge amount of requests, but for us, the speed is well worth the cost.
"Extracting of publication info using SerpApi"
Overall: We needed to estimate the impact of a service that we offer to researchers by compiling the amount of publications that have resulted from the service. SerpApi eased most of the burden.
Pros: The search using DOI was very useful. It brought out exact matches to queries.
Cons: The query using bibliographic parameter brings out too many unnecessary matches.
"SerpAPI: Highly recommended"
Overall: We use SerpAPI to scrape search results on the fly and as an additional way to extend our vertical thesauri coverage. The results are fast and we appreciate the stability of the API.
Pros: Integration was very easy. The documentation is clear, and the "playground" is a great way to get started with the API. The support team is extremely responsive and helped us to resolve a few initial technical challenges.
Cons: The overall experience has exceeded our expectations.
