JS API is the best if you want to do custom rules and custom integrations within the site. We got full GDPR + CCPA compliant within days. Pros Easy to setup, Lots of options to customize the tool, lots of integrations including Google, Microsoft, facebook, rakuten etc., Autoblocker is a blessing and Great support is just a cherry on top. Cons We have been following their guides and there is nothing that I do not like about this app, it is performing great so far. Alternatives considered [OneTrust](https://www.capterra.com/p/174564/OneTrust/) Reason for choosing Pandectes GDPR Compliance Onetrust is also very good tool and offers lots of features but its like a whole new platform and you will have to learn the new platform to do things and i find it hard going through all the documentation rather than a simple step by step workflow within the app would have made it more nicer and also we are using shopify and having an app within shopify that we can login and view data all in one place would be excellent rather than logging into an external app. Switched from [Usercentrics](https://www.capterra.com/p/179357/Usercentrics/) Our contract was over and it seems Usercentrics were not tracking our website cookies and managing it correctly. I've used CookieYes (which is ok), OneTrust (expensive) before. But Pandectes has been absolutely fantastic for our Shopify site and I would definitely use this provider again. Pros The support staff, namely Natalie and Constantinos, were very helpful and receptive when implementing the consent banner for our ecommerce store. They actively helped us deploy updates and tested each iteration. Highly recommend. Cons Nothing genuinely, great service. Maybe the only thing was that customising the banner didn't have a million options out of the box, we did it all custom with JS in the app - but that's fine and expected. Pros I like that there are real humans on the other side of the chat. They offer a compliance check as part of the set up which has a real person on the other end. \[sensitive content hidden\] checked my site, found one issue and came up with solutions to help me fix it. He then went on to show me the best set up which should hopefully see a 85% acceptance rate of my cookies. Cons There is not really much I don't like- maybe the big jump in cost to the premium from the basic. Pros It is very good application for consent mode and cookie banner. I usually reccomend it to the clients on Shopify as it looks to be one of the most valuable ones in the market. Features are more than other apps that I checked and cover all needs for a store. Finally it provides several integrations with other apps which is really important taking into account that a simple Shopify store has some default apps that are required to roll out. Cons It has many options so maybe for a small size store it could provide a guide to skip some steps. After some checking on their articles I was able to complete the setup process easily. I've also used plugins for Wordpress websites for this same purpose, and they are all a nightmare to use.
