The app is great at centrally locating everything in one place, features such as the leaderboard really inspire colleagues to engage and challenge themselves/each other. The option to donate rewards to charity is also a big winner for us. Cons Only being able to see steps in a rolling 30-day period. Perhaps having the ability to see steps segmented by month, in addition to a rolling 30-day period would be great - but just a small thing! The app's design makes it easy to join challenges and redeeming vouchers and discounts requires little effort. Pros Employees really enjoy the gamified nature of the app. It gets them really involved and idscussing their activities with one another. Cons There isn't a great deal we don't like about YuLife and think that it is brilliant. I guess more personalisation of Yumojis would be welcome. To improve the experience a better connection with Bupa would definitely help. Pros YuLife is simple to use from an administrators point of view. New members are quick to set up and the sign in process is quick and easy. There are lots of great resources on YuLife including posters and guides which made launching YuLife within our organisation very simple and effective. The chat function of YuLife is great they are extremely friendly and you can tell you are talking to a real person who is happy to help. All my enquiries using the chat feature have been resolved quickly. Cons YuLife's link with Bupa is poor, when I am setting a new user up with Bupa and I want this to be reflected within the YuLife app the process is complicated and takes a long time to be implemented. I also had to largely work out how to do this myself. The healthcareadmin@yulife.com email is very slow to respond and there is conflicting opinions about the information I should provide - originally I was told I just had to send the new joiners details, and now I have to send a full members list each time? I have also not been impressed with the service provided by YourHalo, we had an employee seek their help due to feelings of worry and they were turned away even though this should be covered by YourHalo? Although I have launched a complaint regarding this and the customer service of YuLife in facilitating the complaint has been very good. Review Source NK Natalia K. " July 28, 2022 4.0 The overall experience with YuLife has been very positive, from the implementation to the use. It's an intuitive app that can provide benefits in a fun and engaging way without causing negative competition. Pros The app is a lovely way to create or benefits from your already existing healthy habits. As a team that walks a lot, it's great to get the reward for this. The integration of cycling was a nice additional feature. Surges are a fab way of increasing engagement. Cons I understand additional levels are being developed, but I achieved Level 199 about 4 months ago. It would be great to get more levels soon. I would also love to widen the types of challenges, including cycling, yoga and other sports. It would be great to get an email about surges and new rewards. October 2, 2025 5.0 Our team engagement has been great on the app, everyone can see the benefits that having YuLife offers, as it has something for everyone in it. It does a good bit of HR work for me which I am very grateful for, and the financial security and benefits are a total bonus. Pros It's user friendly platform and extensive offerings of activities and rewards make it the best company benefit we offer. The customer service and support has always been top tier, from occasional account manager calls and speedy chat pop ups. It's helped engage our team in more fitness and keeps up friendly competition and recognition between employees. Cons As a small business I don't always have time to keep up with so much of all the new features. So sometimes I'm guiding teams to help and hope that it is the best and right things on the app to direct them to. Cons There's not much that I don't like about the YuLife app. It would be good if we had a way of nominating other companies that might become a benefit for employees to use their YuCoin with. It has helped to keep me healthier and the challenges with other colleagues also keep me motivated. I learned it by myself and a training with Berenice and then was on to engage 350 people with it! It's not all of em, but i got most of em! We do company wide competitions, everyones always comparing the leaderboards. it's a blast Pros I love that its so easy to use on a daily basis. Easy to engage with others at work whether theyre competitive or not. Love that there are fun rewards from it and its something fun to work towards Cons I hate that once you hit a certain level, all long walks are 3,500 steps. I love doing that while walking my dog but at that rate he doesn't have time to stop and poo! haha . From the initial call, i've had clear information shared with me, clear costings, and great follow up. The onboarding team has been very helpful and really guided me step by step. I have actually been amazed at how much our team embraced the app and have been running with it. Really positive experience. Pros I was looking for something that would bring together our remote team in a fun and engaging way, while encouraging wellbeing and giving employee health benefits. This app does it all. From a fun, engaging way to track your steps, build up your health, compete in a friendly way with your colleagues, to earning coins that become vouchers, its great for employee engagement. The mental health and GP support was the main reason i looked at the app, but I was convinced by the whole package. Cons It is a cost commitment that you need to factor into oncosts for your team. £10 per person per month can add up when you have a lot of staff.
