If you're looking for a relevant and fun way to support the physical, mental and financial wellbeing of your staff, I'd highly recommend it! Pros The YuLife team works really hard to keep the platform engaging with fun events year-round. I personally find the balance of physical and mental challenges/activities is great and the tangible reward vouchers are very motivating! Cons I liked looking back at how much I'd spent in vouchers, but that's a bit harder now that the wallet has changed. Some people also find it hard to find the mood monitor (but this has been improved and I really like the recent-ish change showing all available actions when tapping on the large coin). The app doesn't always track steps well if you're walking in a large green space. I love the vouchers and more variety of them upcoming. Also, like the CSR aspect with points, just would be great to have more options on donation side, like to select where to donate meals or to which communities, and also have more detailed view where all the donations exactly goes. It's multilayered, from day to day generation of YuCoins, to confidential advice and support. All of which is valued within our company and actively encourages discussion and employee engagement. Pros It's great value for money and the team are very responsive whenever I've needed customer support. For a workforce over multiple sites, YuLife brings our teams together for challenges and events which is invaluable. Cons Wish we could spend some of our credit on YuCoins for our team, rather than having to purchase these separately. It reminds you to take care of yourself to carry out the tasks, encouraging breaks and also reflection on habits and self care. It helps you notice your sleep and energy levels and the range of rewards is useful and worth engaging in. The range of workouts and meditations are really good, and rival some paid for apps. Cons A few of the Getting To Know Yu questions are a bit odd - asking if you have problematic social interactions. Also some of the timed tasks need longer to complete, if you have reduced mobility, or live in a hilly area or have to cross busy roads some walking challenges are not realistic. Some great benefits our employees love." October 2, 2025 5.0 YuLife was extremely easy to implement and onboarding new starters/removing leavers is very straight forward too. It creates a lot of conversation within the office and our teams love saving money on their spending. Seeing yourself on the steps leader board often gives people a nudge to be more active! Pros YuLife creates a great competitive edge within our teams with a great level of engagement - they all want to be at the top of the leader board or get the fastest YuDoku time! It great in encouraging us to move more. The different features and additional benefits have been a fantastic hit with our employees. It's amazing how quickly the YuCoins add up so we can exchange them for money off vouchers. Cons It's a shame you can only do one YuDoku puzzle a day, it would be great if you could do a few more. Cons There isn't a great deal we don't like about YuLife and think that it is brilliant. I guess more personalisation of Yumojis would be welcome. And seeing where you are on the leaderboard. I was first for number of months. Pros It makes you exercise and can manager your fitness. Its a bit of fun with the leaderboard with others in your team. It gives you greats rewards. It gives you tips on exercise and fitness. If you require customer service it is there to help. Employees engage well with it, it is easy to administer and we are able to provide great stats to our leadership teams on wellness and CSR. Pros The wellness platform can either be left to manage itself with the regular challenges and updates etc, or it can be really tailored to company needs. Employees find it easy to use, and at almost 90% download rate, it is our most used wellness platform to date. Cons The global offering of rewards could be improved, which I expect will be over time. Also, I have to add new employees by sending a spreadsheet to an administrator. Pros Such a simple and convenient app to use! I check in daily to do a walk, a Yuduku or a meditation. You can accrue YuCoin so quickly and they really add up! Our company gets rather competitive over the step challenges and sudukus! Cons Nothing - everything is amazing! There's almost too much choice. Theres counselling, career advice, online GP support available to you and your family. Loads of retailers with which to choose to redeem your YuCoin with. An engaging app. You can even get your Will written through them for free! Pros It engages people to make small changes that can be hugely beneficial on a daily basis. It prompts users to keep up the habits and finds new ways to keep users engaged with the product. Really easy to use, the group competitions offer achievable targets and keeps you going back for more. Inclusive ways to gain rewards to appeal to a range of abilities. A great way to keep info together on all benefits. Cons Not really a con, but would love to have more ways to gain healthy habits such as a healthy food challenge, or tracking of gym activity like boxing or weight training. Cons The Direct Debit mandate didn't get set up so we ended up having to pay 6 months upfront - ouch Reason for choosing YuLife User-friendly and good sales team. The cost was also a positive. I have become physically disabled while using the product and it's fantastic that Yulife offers opportunities to earn rewards from meditation and Yudoku rather than the obsession with hitting step counts (which is actually dangerous for me!) We spent a long time considering options; I have not regretted the decision to work with YuLife and would recommend to others. Pros Easy to use with a choice of rewards for completing challenges like Yuduko or workouts, encouraging our teams to form healthy habits. Our teams like the healthy competition that comes with the leaderboards and they enjoy creating personal avatars. The virtual GP service is easy to use and has been effective. The link to BUPA works well. The benefit has been well-received overall and the gamification element makes YuLife different to other wellbeing programmes. Cons I have heard that an employee was unable to gain access to the course of counselling sessions which is a concern as we'd advertised this as a key feature of this wellbeing benefit. February 1, 2024 5.0 Great experience from purchase to implementation with the team. Our employees have really engaged with the wellbeing quests and earn rewards in the process. The online GP service has proved very useful for our employees and even cut down on time taken out of work for physical appointments. Pros YuLife provides our Group Life Assurance - the real benefit however is seeing how the team have engaged with the app and quests to gain rewards an improve their wellbeing at the same time. Cons No real downside has been found other than increases in premiums annually - which were quite significant. Hopefully this will steady out. Reason for choosing YuLife The rewards programme of YuLife really does encourage our employees to improve their health and wellbeing made this the best offering for our small business. Having a source of help available for our employees in regard to mental and physical health support which is really easy to access. Pros YuLife has been very easy to implement. The level of engagement we have seen has been impressive with the majority of our employees signing up within days of its implementation. The leaderboard has encouraged a healthy level of competition between colleagues and is a great talking point. The rewards programme is easy to use and gives immediate results from daily activities. It's great that you can use your points on a personal basis and to share with worthy causes. Being able to integrate our existing systems into the app, for example links to our HR database and our e-learning product is proving really helpful. Cons It would be good to see more charitable options added in the future. For example, charities related to animal welfare would be welcome. Reason for choosing YuLife From first contact to implementation, everyone at YuLife encountered worked really hard to understand our business. This came across as one of the most important elements. There were no hard sell techniques. The focus was on helping me to find the right product for the results that we were aiming for. Understanding our business meant that these discussions were relatable and relevant to how the product would work for us. There was flexibility in how much of the product we took up initially. Implementation was very easy and lots of support was available to me throughout. The ability to integrate with our own systems has been really helpful. For example, employees can connect to our e-learning system through the app as well as the electronic salary slip system and the HR database without having to go through our remote log in process to access their emails as they used to do previously. I learned it by myself and a training with Berenice and then was on to engage 350 people with it! It's not all of em, but i got most of em! We do company wide competitions, everyones always comparing the leaderboards. it's a blast Pros I love that its so easy to use on a daily basis. Easy to engage with others at work whether theyre competitive or not. Love that there are fun rewards from it and its something fun to work towards Cons I hate that once you hit a certain level, all long walks are 3,500 steps. I love doing that while walking my dog but at that rate he doesn't have time to stop and poo! haha . The staff are lovely and supportive and we very much enjoy being part of the YuCrew! Just need to work on turnaround times for producing quotations etc. Pros Earning of the YuCoin is great fun and it is nice to have the leaderboard for friendly competition too. The Virgin 20% off voucher is one I have used a couple of times. I am yet to use some of the other features such as the virtual GP but really appreciate that they are there. The team are always friendly, the webinars they put on are about interesting topics and i'm excited for future developments such as the Sudoku and hope to attend the festival! There is a lot of useful engagement material - we need to make more of this as a business Cons The turnaround times to obtain quotations can be too long. As a broker, this needs to be made quicker. The integration with some fitness watches has been difficult at times but having said that, there has always been support from YuLife with this. The rate increase this year has been quite substantial so YuLife need to ensure they are developing their software at the same rate to justify this. Director Retail Used the software for: 2+ years ### "I wouldn't be without YuLife" June 8, 2022 5.0 Pros I love the competition the steps leader board brings to my already competitive team, the gamification of the challenges and how relevant the rewards can be such as immediate conversion of their YuCoins to buying their lunch with the vouchers one day for example I loved during lockdown I was able to donate my massively increased steps count into charitable donations and have managed to continue that with recent additions like tree-planting, supporting the homeless and donating to Ukrainian refugees The YuLife team have always been massive advocates of their own products and have also helped to support myself and my business at the start-up stage, I was blown away with their attitude and culture compared to some of the other products on the market Cons Possibly a few more tweaks to help the app place nicer with certain phones for example real-time updates on leader board when refreshed and maybe include notifications specific to your position on leader board as well as activity trends if you so desire Review Source Response from YuLife July 11, 2022 Hi Scott, We are always looking for ways to constantly improve the app so we really value the time you have taken to give us such detailed feedback- thank you!
