This information is imperative to our end-of-year reports, which then inform the college's entire strategic plan. Pros In higher education, we are always looking for student, faculty, and alumni feedback to try to better the services we have in our facility. With SurveyMonkey, we can create multiple surveys to canvas many of our needs. For example: set a student with a laptop and free coffee up in the lobby and ask students/faculty/staff to fill out a "building satisfaction survey." Another great use: sending a follow-up survey to clients after they have held an event in our facility. SurveyMonkey gives us great feedback either way, which we can then use in our annual reports. SurveyMonkey makes it easy with lots of templates, so even the lesser-tech-savvy employees can get a general grasp on what's going on. The ability to alter the templates to suit specific needs is ideal. Cons Budget is a growing concern at our institution. Although there is a basic package, the advanced options can certainly take a chunk out of our dwindling budgets. Pros I have used SurveyMonkey since college, and there is truly no other platform that compares. They are so user friendly, easy to craft, easy to send out, and easy to review. Value for money!" October 9, 2018 4.0 Really easy to create share and generate reports and visuals based on the data collected. A great platform to use! Pros This software platform compared to its competitors like Qualtrics and SoGoSurvey offers a better User Interface and a smooth end-to-end product flow. It is really simple to create surveys and assessments in this platform and distribute and generate reports based on the data collected from participants. The overall usability is also pretty well thought off! I would love to appreciate this tool for its simplicity and it's user-centric focus as it keeps the most important features used by the public in mind. If you wish to purchase this, there are various packaging options too and it's a real value for money based on the features the package provides and based on your requirements. For an Indian, I would definitely recommend this tool. Cons The support team is really obnoxious! There are a lot of issues noticed at times and when we try connecting with the support, we don't hear instant feedbacks or resolutions. I personally believe SoGoSurvey does a wonderful job in this regard. Most of the features are missing as compared to its competitors making this a less preferred tool for k12 schools or other areas. Considero ademas, que es muy facil difundirla las encuestas con un solo link y llevar el control y manejo de las respuestas obtenidas. Another feature I find extremely useful is the ability to export your data to Excel. This allows for even more data manipulation and analytics. Pros SurveyMonkey is extremely easy to use. I have set up several different kinds of surveys. I like that everything is so user friendly. There are multiple options for setting up each question and SurveyMonkey does most of the power lifting for you. As the person writing the survey, it's your job to write the questions and then inputting it into SurveyMonkey is a breeze. Drop down menus and real time feedback allows you to see your survey's design as you build it. Your questions can range from simple multiple choice questions to likert scale questions to free response. The possibilities are endless! Cons In the free version of this you are limited in the number of responses you can collect. I can filter data online and see feedback for a particular team member, for example. There are some nice visuals that are generated automatically, not always the most appropriate for all data, but works pretty well for number and multiple choices in my experience. Overall It is a really decent way to get some extra cash straight from the comfort of your own home! Pros One of the best aspects of this software is that there are typically loads of surveys available for you everyday making it easier to accumulate points. There has never been a day where I logged in and found no surveys. Arguably, the best feature about this software is that you can cash out your points in the form of paypal whereas most other survey websites only offer gift-card rewards. The customer service is also very helpful and always available. Cons One thing that is a bit frustrating about this software is that you need to have a minimum of $10 to cash out, which is decent however surveys typically give around 80 points which means it does take a while to reach the cash out limit. Another negative aspect is that you can be disqualified from surveys at any point, even while you are halfway through. While this does not occur often, it is extremely frustrating when it does. SurveyMonkey name is well known with participants and so increases the likelihood of participation. I've been using this product off and on for over a decade, and they are committed to continuing improvement with more features and benefits, without losing user-friendliness and simplicity. Pros While there is a free version, the paid version is a must if you want to be able to download the results. Download in csv allows for you to sort and subdivide results with ease. The templates and survey creation process is user friendly and you can go from simple to complex questions. Lots of options for customizing the look and feel of your survey and it looks professional, not canned. Cons It's a little pricey, but appreciate you can pay, then discontinue your monthly subscription, and then come back later and all past surveys are still available - stopping payment does not delete your past work. Not sure if this would be possible, but some surveys have a 'stop' question, that if the person answers a certain way, their responses won't be collected. Would be nice to thank them and end the survey at that point since their answers will not be used. Reason for choosing SurveyMonkey I have used a different survey product at the request of a client, who already had an account with them, and the download features were not nearly as user friendly and required a lot more manipulation post download to put in a format for analysis.
