We get the opinions and interests of our customers to use them at our best discretion, and it allows us to do schedule, make informed purchases and work with speed because we have that information at our fingertips. They have kept their design simple and extremely user-friendly. Because of their longevity, Survey Monkey has learned various ways to export data that is conducive to analysis platforms. This saves the research quite a bit of time. Cons It has gone up in price over the years, and the "free" version has decreased in its overall allowances and functions. If you want the features I mentioned above, definitely spring for the paid versions. Unfortunately, the name can be off-putting for people who are not familiar with Survey Monkey. I wish that data was synced realtime to a workbook that could be referenced instead of needing to be exported each time there is new data. Pros It has tons of questions types including a few like the slider that are unique to SurveyMonkey. Lots of customisable options on formatting and overall layout. Cons The data; it's stuck within SM's system and cannot be analysed live by any external tools like PowerBI or easily brought into Excel on a realtime basis. Pros There are several option or way to collect opinion or survey from customer and employees using SurveyMonkey, such as the survey form, opinion pool or online form. It makes the data collection process really easy and effective for us to use. Every type of survey has it own survey template that are customized to optimized the survey objective. Cons Every software has its own flaws, and SurveyMonkey also has some thing that they need to add, like live chat option for fast communication with the support team. Introduction for more cheaper plan for a light user as our company will help us to stick to this software longer, as we don't use it too often to maintain its expensive monthly plan. It allows you to build relatively complex surveys that skip time consuming conversations and meetings, and lets people feel involved in projects via feedback surveys. Pros Survey monkey makes it quick and relatively easy to collect info from the people in your organization, and your wider supporters. Compared to some of the other options out there, survey monkey has more features readily available, and at lower price points. This allows you to make some more logically complex surveys, which can be useful in collecting more accurate information. Cons Compared to other options (like Typeform) Survey Monkey really lags behind in the visual design department. With the proliferation of things like Canva, Typeform, SquareSpace, etc - services that put aesthetics at the forefront - there's really no excuse to not have a greater focus on how the surveys look. It's not a huge drawback, because the data collection is good, but from a user experience side the visuals just aren't as nice as other options. I liked the design and colors of the themes. For my research, the option to limit respondents to certain criteria was a very good option. Lastly, I received quick data information from respondents, and SurveyMonkey analyzed if participants answered all the survey questions or only a few. That was a big help since I had three online surveys. Cons It can be complicated to set up and use all its features. There was no option to speak with a customer representative, only a help menu. Also, when I exported my data to Excel I noticed columns of information that were not included in my surveys. So I had to delete the columns each time I exported the data. I couldn’t afford the subscription which allows the user to export to SPSS, but I managed my data okay without that feature. Review Source AT Antonio T. September 8, 2021 5.0 The overall experience was positive as it allowed us to capture association member feedback related to import topics related to the organization. If you are aiming to invest in a survey platform, I would recommend this platform. If you are looking for a free platform version, be aware that there now is a 40 answer limit before having to pay. Pros By far the platform is quite easy to use, offers variety of options vis-a-vis questions that can be asked and how the answers can be given (yes/no, multiple choice, written comment, etc., etc. ) and tabulated for reporting purposes. Offers robust reporting capabilities as well (for PAID version). Cons The features I liked least were quite few at the start of our experience. You could use platform on the simplest level (free version) and worked like a charm. Fast forward a few years, now there really is no longer a "free version" as platform is limited to 40 answers. Yes, free for small group surveys....BUT once you reach a 40 answer limit, platform forces you to get paid version. That was a little sneaky and unexpected. Review Source EW Eka W. It's a great tool in our toolbox! Pros I love how easy it is to use Survey Monkey. I can create a 10 question survey, customize with my logo, colors and images and deploy in less than 15 minutes. Responses are also easily viewed and can be converted to various chart/graph types with one click. Data is also exportable which helps when I want to create pivot tables in Excel. This is a great too and well worth the year subscription price. Cons The only downside to Survey Monkey is the 2-install limit per license. SurveyMonkey helped us learn what company they should merge with this other market. It helped us put together a solid report. Pros The application was very simple easily allowed my group to make a survey and send it out to 100s of people fast. Before we used survey monkey, we used to give out paper surveys at the end of each of our workshops. During the summer we run 125 programs for around 1500 individuals. Gathering and analyzing that information from the paper was a big task and although we gave out the survey we never had time to aggregate the results. With Survey Monkey that is all done for you. Now we can actually use the feedback we are receiving from stdudents and parents to make positive changes that returning customers can see. In the past three years, returning campers and parents have definately noticed that their opinions and feedback is being heard and postivie changes have been made. Pros Survey Monkey is very easy to use and is great for sending out surveys to a large audience. Survey Monkey software formulated the feedback you receive back from customers in easy to read charts and tables. One of the features I really like about the software is that you can send different emails (or campaigns) from the same survey to compare different groups responses while still being able to look at the results overall. I used this feature this fall to send the same survey to four different groups. This allowed me to compare the satisfaction of each week of our programs as well as the satisfaction overall. Cons I had a hard time at first figuring out the different setups for each of the questions. It would be helpful if there was a definition next to the different settings. Pros This software analyzes results very well. It breaks the results down in easy to understand graphics, that are aesthetically pleasing enough to use in reports. The software shows results in multiple ways as well. Another big pro is just the ease of use, the question type generator makes it simple to choose the best format for each question and helps make your survey flow better. Cons The downfall is you lose some of the customization that you may get from other softwares (of course using free versus paid changes this a bit). As an online portal, it obviously works best online, but there are some instances where you want to have a printed version as well (say at a community meeting to hand out to those who would like to take a hard copy) and it just doesn't print well. SurveyMonkey has always been my go-to software when I needed to create surveys for school projects or personal use. It is so easy to use because SurveyMonkey gives users a template to use to make a survey, which is really helpful! Pros SurveyMonkey is the easiest survey tool to use. Since high school, through college, and even post-grad, I've been using SurveyMonkey. What I like the most is that it instantly creates your survey. All you need to do is just fill in the blanks and the rest is taken care of for you! I also like that there is a free version of the tool, so it can be accessible to really anyone who needs to use it. Cons What I like least about this software that if you are using the free version, you are only limited to 10 questions per survey.
