Survey Monkey has allowed our programs to get feedback from participants and analyze the results in the most efficient manner. We use the program primarily to collect data for events, meetings, and workshops. Pros What I love about Survey Monkey is that there are many features that allow you to not only create the surveys, but also to collaborate with the team. We have the Enterprise Team account, so we are able to create multiple accounts our different programs within our organization. In addition, I really like the ability to clone surveys and questions (we repeat several all the time!), the ability to analyze the survey through the use of filters and cross tab reports, and the ability to customize the survey link when sending to people. I also like that I can track who has and who hasn't filled out the survey yet, so we can send a follow up reminder email directly through survey monkey. Cons There are so many additional functions (advanced logic, question skip logic) that it may take some time to figure out how to apply them. There are other more simplistic forms (Google Form, SmartSheet), but Survey Monkey has the most functionality from my experience. I also wanted to know what kind of music each location would prefer to hear. Survey Mokey allowed me to find out these things and tie them to each location that responded. Pros I was able to import a list of emails and contacts from a spreadsheet, so that I could use that list to send out a letter with a link to a survey. Using that spreadsheet enabled me to track where the responses came from as well as who had responded. Since I needed the information to tailor my response actions for each company, this was very useful. While I had used anonymous surveys, where I could just send a link, it was nice to be able to do it this way. Cons The options for analysis and answers are more limited in the non-paid version, but for a small fee, you can add functionality and variety. There is not much I did not like about it. Pros The features that are most impactful is the ability to ask employee how things are going.. This can help because you can see what is going wrong and what is not. If an employee needs to be moved in the workplace it will be easy to tell that because it will be written in survey monkey. The survey monkey tool is absolutely helpful :) The integration of the existing businesses is very easy because it helps indicate which employees are happy and which ones are not. Cons I do not feel there there are any features that could be improved. I do not feel there is anything missing either. There are not any aspects of the product that are difficult to use. Pros I have used both the free and banded version of creating Survey Monkey Surveys and it has always fulfilled my expectations. Creating a survey is quick and easy here and you will be done with a great survey form in minutes for your employees, generic market research, study, etc. It has the option of response triggered questions which means an extra question might show up or not depending on what the user answered in the previous question. Survey Monkey also allows you to use to your own HTML creatives. The survey results are easy to read and pretty intuitive. I have used their online response team and found them quick and helpful. " December 4, 2018 4.0 I've been using SurveyMonkey off and on for probably 10 years. I've had both the FREE and PRO accounts, and the PRO is certainly worth the investment depending on your needs. The limitations with the Free account will become quickly apparent, so if your company or project is data driven and going to be conducting multiple surveys a month, the PRO account is a no-brainer. Pros Survey Monkey has one of the most simple, straightforward user interfaces imaginable. It's incredibly easy to navigate, and with a few clicks you'll have a custom survey in no time. Perhaps the best part, if you don't need fancy design specification or advanced analytics, you get it all for free. Cons There's very limited design features available in the free platform, and even with a paid subscription, you still aren't getting anything too fancy. There is also an impressive question bank that really helps make sure you are asking the best questions. Every two years we have an entirely new student body and membership. Every few months, we ask for input and love using survey monkey because it’s just so easy to use! Pros I love that I can create a survey, send it out to hundreds if not thousands of recipients, and react to the results. Cons I find some of the infrastructure limiting. I’d like two or three part questions sometimes but I’m not always able to set up if/then scenarios. I don't use it very often so I feel like I have to re-learn how to use it each time but I can figure it out pretty quickly. I've mostly used the free features but paid for a subscription for one project. I was a little annoyed that I could not keep the results after I stopped paying for the subscription. I was able to save the information but could not "present" it within the application. Pros SurveyMonkey is the most popular option for creating surveys and is therefore the most familiar so it makes sense to use it. It is easy to use and it pretty user friendly. You can basically do whatever you want with limited tech skills but can spruce it up if you spend some time getting to know the software. Cons At times, I feel like the way results are presented is not always the way I was hoping for and feel I have to dig deeper to get to the information I wanted but for the most part it does what I want it to. I used it as Training manager and as Accessioning manager and will use it again when I need to survey a group. Pros I like the ease of everything. It was easy to set up my account, learning how to build and distribute surveys seemed fairly simple and straight forward. I also like the different reporting options available that provided me with completion status for a region, group average score of satisfaction surveys. We even used it for our client satisfaction surveys for a few years. Cons I had a difficult time customizing reports at first but the standard reports were premade which was nice. Reason for choosing SurveyMonkey My boss showed it to me as a way of creating end or class surveys that were electronic and auto reported on once built. It saved me a lot of time when reviewing training class surveys and responses. It is generally user friendly and easy to share. Since there are free options such as the trial and basic plan, it is very cost-effective. Cons It is largely easy to use, however, there are some aspects that are not as developed or integrated. For example, customising can sometimes be difficult. Free version is good to use at first, but you will quickly need to pay for premium features as your target audience grows along with the amount of required data you are looking to obtain. It tells the truth and you can dig for whatever truth you want or need in your marketing plan. It is amazing for market research and is a must for all corporations to me. It’s a direct way to know what your customers want and expect, also gives you the real on how the public views our service. Using it as a survey taker it is fun and you generate income by taking surveys on there so it is win win Pros What I lied most about this software is that it was extremely easy to use. I was able to create a survey that targeted consumers and generate a ton of information that helped me to specialize my company and create added value to my services offered that directly addressed market needs and the requests of the consumer. Cons I least liked the facet that the people taking the survey couldn’t be linked to their answers but that is a plus too for other reasons. The pay as you go service especially is useful for gaining feedback on new inventories and surveys before introducing them to our clients – kind of like beta testing our latest ideas, without the need for any long term commitment with a big market research agency. Cons We work mainly in corporate environments - particularly with HR professionals and quickly discovered that you have to make sure that the audience panel created is really representative of your target audience – both in terms of geography, demographics and sector – otherwise any results gathered become quite meaningless. We've also found that there are a few situations when using something like Google Forms would work just as well (small sample sizes)and wouldn't cost anything. Our survey-takers have no issues nor do the people setting up surveys. It is a fairly clean and straightforward product. As long as prices don't increase again we will continue to use Survey Monkey. Pros I love the paid version of Survey Monkey. The free version is missing many of the features and options that you need to customize surveys to your brand standards. Creating surveys on Survey Monkey is easy. They offer template questions, a number of format options, and it even offers the ability to add logic to your surveys. The logic option for surveys is by far my favorite option. I can have users skip entire sections based on their answer to one question. Survey Monkey is incredibly user friendly. Cons The price of Survey Monkey is a little higher than I think it should be. We don't necessarily use it daily and that makes the price a little steep in my eyes. I don't think prices should be based on number of users. The prices also continue to change and increase. I have also had some experience with customer service. We had an HR manager leave and not pass on the credentials for our Survey Monkey account. It took a lot longer than I expected to be able to access the account. Reason for choosing SurveyMonkey Survey Monkey hooked us with their free version and made us believers. It was a no brainer to sign up for the paid version once we saw the features. Cons While the app will tell you that you have errors in the logic of your survey, it does not tell you where the error is. For longer surveys this can make it difficult to find.
