Good amount of options for data exporting as well which has been helpful for internal growth and external marketing strategies. Pros Good customized features to limit the amount of duplicate responses you get and easy to make surveys anonymous. Free version is good to use at first, but you will quickly need to pay for premium features as your target audience grows along with the amount of required data you are looking to obtain. Cons Pricing - feel that they are a bit on the high side, especially given the competition in the marketplace. As the administrator of the surveys I can get tons of information for clients that help build and guide their visions to what the community wants. It tells the truth and you can dig for whatever truth you want or need in your marketing plan. It is amazing for market research and is a must for all corporations to me. It’s a direct way to know what your customers want and expect, also gives you the real on how the public views our service. Using it as a survey taker it is fun and you generate income by taking surveys on there so it is win win Pros What I lied most about this software is that it was extremely easy to use. I was able to create a survey that targeted consumers and generate a ton of information that helped me to specialize my company and create added value to my services offered that directly addressed market needs and the requests of the consumer. Cons I least liked the facet that the people taking the survey couldn’t be linked to their answers but that is a plus too for other reasons. Just being a mosey person is all, so that’s a personal issue of mine really not a professional fault in the service. The pay as you go service especially is useful for gaining feedback on new inventories and surveys before introducing them to our clients – kind of like beta testing our latest ideas, without the need for any long term commitment with a big market research agency. Cons We work mainly in corporate environments - particularly with HR professionals and quickly discovered that you have to make sure that the audience panel created is really representative of your target audience – both in terms of geography, demographics and sector – otherwise any results gathered become quite meaningless. We've also found that there are a few situations when using something like Google Forms would work just as well (small sample sizes)and wouldn't cost anything. Our survey-takers have no issues nor do the people setting up surveys. It is a fairly clean and straightforward product. As long as prices don't increase again we will continue to use Survey Monkey. Pros I love the paid version of Survey Monkey. The free version is missing many of the features and options that you need to customize surveys to your brand standards. Creating surveys on Survey Monkey is easy. They offer template questions, a number of format options, and it even offers the ability to add logic to your surveys. The logic option for surveys is by far my favorite option. I can have users skip entire sections based on their answer to one question. Survey Monkey is incredibly user friendly. Cons The price of Survey Monkey is a little higher than I think it should be. We don't necessarily use it daily and that makes the price a little steep in my eyes. I don't think prices should be based on number of users. The prices also continue to change and increase. I have also had some experience with customer service. We had an HR manager leave and not pass on the credentials for our Survey Monkey account. It took a lot longer than I expected to be able to access the account. Reason for choosing SurveyMonkey Survey Monkey hooked us with their free version and made us believers. It was a no brainer to sign up for the paid version once we saw the features. Pros I have been experiencing Survey Monkey for many years and have only begun to use it first hand. I have to say the user interface is very good and similar to Google Forms but has more templates and more customizations. Cons I'm yet to encounter a real negative about Survey Monkey. If I am being picky the GUI is little less smooth than Google Forms. The functions offered by SurveyMonkey are very convenient. It has tremendously helped my productivity. Pros SurveyMonkey is a great tool which allow users to design and conduct online surveys. It allows users to select a basic form, fill the questions and create the survey form automatically. It is very handy to use compared to other online form applications. Using SurveyMonkey will save you time and resources, as you are no longer need to design, print and distribute paper questionnaires to gather your data. SurveyMonkey also produces your data sheet, meaning that you don't have to work hard to do data entry task which is very cumbersome! Cons SurveyMonkey's free version is very limited. I feel comfortable enough using it and I feel I really do get the information I need without having to ask a bunch of followup questions. Great software and will continue to use. Just wish it wasn't so expensive. Pros I am able to make complex surveys and easily do what I need to do to get the best information I can from surveys. I have made several surveys and am able to do most of what I need with my current subscription. I sometimes need more branching and logic but that is rare. Easy to use and show others how to use. Cons You have to pay for anything more than a simple survey and it is expensive. Even more expensive if you want more people to work on them with you. However, if you are looking to do something more robust, highly recommend getting a different tool that has better features, functionality and automatic analysis. Pros Pretty quick and easy to set up a survey, send it out and get simple data and information. They always add new features so the software is able to do more and more over time. Cons As they make changes to their paid model, they are implementing painful controls (like IP tracking) and a code verification process that is frustrating. It works in theory but, for companies that mask and constantly change IPs, this means you’ll constantly be sent new verification codes to login and, unfortunately, the verification codes go to a systems administrator, not to you. This means that what was once a simple login process is now cumbersome and will slow you down, potentially daily. More and more features like this are being added and make the product frustrating to use. They’ve also made it difficult to customize and export reports when, previously, a few clicks and you were done. However, it's good for someone who wanted to share their thoughts and opinion on their interests. Pros I have been using this for more than a year, I found it very useful to make some money during our free time. Below are a few key features that I found very useful: -> Easy to register and do the initial set-up. -> At any given point in time, there will be lots of surveys available to do, we can choose according to our own interest. -> We can do as many as we want in a day, there is no restriction in doing so. -> Once we reach 10$ or equivalent points, we can choose the payout from the wide range of gift cards or we can choose PayPal (real money!) too. -> Anyone can do this - students, homemakers, working people, etc. - during their free time. Cons I found a few cons too with this portal, here are a few: -> You won't be eligible for all surveys which you see in the dashboard. -> Literally you need to spend hours to make a few dollars. -> Most of the surveys would need at least 15-30 mins to complete, that's really a lot of time. If you are asking more than 10 questions, but only send out 1 or 2 surveys a month, there are better options. Pros Survey Monkey is pretty user friendly and you can make a simple survey pretty quickly. One nice feature is the ability to collect data and the users are anonymous. An example I used was for if some parents would be willing to pay for the coaches hotel room for an out of town trip. Because I did not want people to feel pressure to say no, or to feel guilt-ed in by other's answers, I used Survey Monkey to collect the data. Cons Biggest drawback with the free version is you can only do 10 max questions and 100 max responses on a survey. I understand that you want to push people to a paid version, but limiting to 10 questions really takes away from wanting to use the software. I only use it for 1 or 2 question surveys, spending little time on the site, therefore, would never be in the market to get a paid version because of the limitations. Review Source NM Nora M.
