Pros SurveyMonkey is very user-friendly and self-explanatory and that's what makes it a great choice for the conductors and the participants, both alike. It's social media friendly. SurveyMonkey also features great reporting capabilities; being able to export your results into a spreadsheet is a great feature. Cons It needs to be more customizable, as in branding your own survey with your own logo for a given. Also, it's a bit limited when it comes to the type of asking questions. Pros Can very easily setup surveys on behalf of the team to gather opinions on anything from where to go to lunch or what time a meeting should be. Allows each have anonymity from the other and no one knows your answer. Cons In terms of cons, I would say the biggest is that the free version only offers the ability to offer 10 questions. It is very intuitive. Cons A lot of good features are locked behind the more costly paid subscription plans. It only makes sense to upgrade if you're using the software all the time. " September 29, 2018 4.0 Since the advent of Google Forms, SurveyMonkey's features don't justify the paid subscription for simple surveys. If you need to set up a quick internal poll for the office, you can do this just as easily and free with Google Forms. However, if you're a big company trying to poll your customers or a university polling alums you probably will need more than Google Forms, which is where SurveyMonkey becomes a legitimate option. Pros Advanced features that Google Forms does not offer. Trustworthy interface for external surveys. Company has been doing this for around 10 years. Cons They should offer a stripped down cheap/free version of a plan in order to lure the Google Forms crowd. Even if those customers don't pay today, they may have a need for the more advanced features down the road and they'll already be familiar with the product and have an account. Review Source brian M. Pros The ease of using it take the top priority. It is very easy to recommend. Most users will find the features to be sufficient unless you are a heavy users and need a lot of analytics. You can get done with stuff very quickly. Cons Analytics is an area where SurveyMonkey isn't the best. It's good but not for all. Make sure to check all the features before making the transition to Surveymonkey for example decision tress aren't available. Would really hope they can add more machine learning algorithm for power users like me. Setting up surveys is pretty simple, and sorting the data is also straight forward. The additional features on a paid plan are very useful if you need to heavily customise your survey for branding or campaign purposes. Plenty of online support material available as well. Cons There's not much to dislike, as it's a pretty simple survey tool. Pros I really enjoy the features of different types of questions. Very often I need to send out "post-meeting surveys" to attendees which includes open ended questions, multiple choice questions and questions where they can select more than one option. This makes it very easy to enter in the information, format it how you prefer and send out link to everyone for quick responses. Cons Sometimes it can be a hassle to gather the information.
