I would suggest this application for anyone that needs to track information on person by person basis. Pros Many formats to create a survey. When you need to gather information from a group of people this is the best way to do. You can send out the link and set up for answers you need. We use this survey daily where I work. Everything from tracking information through the form and gathering information needed for training, daily operations, tracking customer interactions. can be anonymous for real answers You get a detailed report of each survey. In my position it really helped to get quick responses and feedback in order to make decisions going forward without having to meet face-to-face. It's so well known, and frankly universal. Cons It really could do for an update, I would love some sleeker, less branded options. It is very straight forward and a great way to capture results quickly. I also like the live texting feature you can use to get live survey results while presenting in a meeting. Cons I do not have anything that I dislike about this software. Something useful could be allowing the results to integrate into an excel sheet or Google docs sheet for easy access. Pros I want to begin by saying our survey monkey use consisted of fellow employees deciding on team-building events, logos for unit merchandise. potluck themes and such. 1. Very easy to create survey 2. Easy to share survey 3. Allows us to be antisocial but still make group decisions 4. Normally indecisive people are given a passive voice Cons For the purposes of what we used Survey Monkey for, there were no cons. It worked very well and we were always able to come to agreements. May 31, 2016 3.0 I used to use Survey Monkey on occasion to poll a few questions...sometimes for customer service, sometimes to poll where people stand on certain issues. Lately, I've found that any sort of analysis that I'd like to do requires that I sign up for the Upgraded version. I can't analyze any data anymore unless I upgrade. Not too bad if you don't have much data (in my case), but also annoying that just about any function I need to use requires an upgrade, when it previously did not require this. Too bad. Pros Great features. Great flow and feel of app. Love the suggested questions so that you can phrase it correctly and get non-biased answers, etc. Cons Pay for just about every analysis feature. I understand the need for payment, but simple stats should be included..such as a spreadsheet of all the answers or a limited number of polls per month or week. Review Source Christine S. Cons At times I feel like Survey Monkey gets a bad rep because it is so accessible and offers a widely-used free version. The time to get results of a survey is greatly minimized enabling one to make decisions faster. Pros very easy to use, we use for training evaluations, workshop evaluations, etc. It's easy to get feedback from users via a link to the survey and doesn't consume a lot time. Easy to tabulate and evaluate results using the inbuilt reports function. Can make responses anonymous which is useful since most respondents don't want their responses to be made open. Fairly priced making it affordable. Cons Reports are pretty basic and sometimes one has to import the data and use more advanced analysis software. It took minutes to create a new survey with many different question types. Adding a distribution list and sending the survey out took not time at all. And the various results in totals and graphs made analyzing the entries a breeze. Cons I would have liked to see more flexibility in adding my own flare to the surveys. Pros One of the major pros of this software is that it is soooooo user friendly, even for individuals who have little to no computer or tech experience. Another pro is that for those who need to develop a survey, this software provides step by step directions and templates that save so much time. Last and definitely not least, this software is free to use!!!! Cons Honestly, I have not had a negative experience using this software. Cons If you want to do really complex surveys, which you might need for complex statistical methods you reach the limit of survey monkey. we once wanted to a survey underlying a complex mulitnomial regression methodology and didnt find the appropriate tools for that with surveymonkey. It has a lot of useful tools. The reporting and analysis part of it has saved me so much time. Pros As a user of Survey Monkey Enterprise I must say that it's extremely user-friendly and versatile. My subscription allows me an unlimited number of surveys, there are various ways in which my surveys can be administered, templates are available and its allows for a high level of customization.Customer support is efficient and prompt. They always respond in a timely manner. I especially like that graphs are generated for responses and these are customize-able.
