Pros The software is easy to use to build surveys, with the ability to customize as much as you want to. It also comes with very easy ways to track and analyze the data you collect. Cons I would like a better way to export data for further analysis. The survey creation tools, while easy, are also a bit repetitive - it's not smart enough to figure out if you'd like to re-use similar options from question to question. It's okay at best. Cons SurveyMonkey is one of many options to create and share surveys and it falls short compared to its competitors. With the basic plan (without paying money) you can only ask 10 questions in a survey (text or images count towards this 10 elements) and I don't think it's enough. Pros \- You have two options, free or pay for a "plan". - If you choose the free option you can: \* Create a new survey, you can do it by adding the questions yourself and designing it or selecting a pre-made survey template. \* Modify the survey options: number of questions and pages, choose the "paid" option you even can change the company logo. \* You can send the survey by mail or through your social networks like Facebook. \* You can check your results through the web page but if you want to tabulate them in excel you must have the paid version - It's easy to use. Cons \- The free version does not contemplate that the user can access all the possibilities of the tool, such as: filter the data, export the data to another tool such as Excel. - The free version has the characteristics that the interviewee can leave questions unanswered, which may harm subsequent analyzes. October 14, 2022 4.0 My overall experience was great and I will continue to use them! Finding, coping, and pasting the survey code was easy as well. Sometimes it is hard to find simple things like this but their dashboard and software in general is very user friendly and will make it a smooth process even for a first time user. Pros It was very easy to use and the dashboard was nice as far as the analytics. It was easy to see how many people received the survey, started the survey, and completed the survey. Also, looking at all of the answers was simple too. There really wasn't a learning curve and that is always nice when you want to send something basic and simply like a survey. Cons I honestly probably haven'y used it enough to come up with a negative thing about SurveyMonkey. Cons Creating surveys is not intuitive and is often burdensome. At times to change a question may require rewriting the entire question. In short it is not very user friendly. It was very intuitive to use, and once the responses rolled in, the way that the data is compiled is very easy to interpret and maximize. Cons I wish that there were more options on how to change the overall visual effects of the surveys. We are able to ask a variety of kinds of questions and to tailor open-ended answers to be specific lengths. Cons The design templating is not very flexible, and while question designing has many options available, it is not an open system for complete customization. I will use it when needed as a way to collect group data and analyze it myself. Instead of paying for the service I have found creating certain forms can do the same data collection with out the fee. Pros It's pretty easy to use. It offers the "Free" account which you can't beat price wise! The other accounts are upgrades to get you way more value. It is a fast and easy way to collect data across lots of people. Cons The upgraded packages are a little on the pricey side. The Free account is good if you use it sparingly but compared to other survey methods, Survey Monkey has a lot of extras that aren't needed and they reflect in the price (Custom colors and logos, etc.) Review Source Rick M. Pros Very easy to use and free! We have had no problems sending out surveys then easily analyzing the data we receive back. Cons There are some definite limitations to the free plan. There are limitations of numbers of questions, number of surveys, and you also are not able to save a bunch of information. However, it is free so it is kind of to be expected. Review Source Kevin D. Pros When we have needed to send out surveys for parents and community members (or any other stakeholders in the district), this has been the most successful product we have used. It is simple to set up, and easy for people to fill out. I am also not aware of a single issue people have had when filling out the surveys. So I like that if one knows how to create a proper survey, they can make it more palatable. Pros I like that survey monkey is reputable. I receive a lot of surveys and I know that they are not viruses or tricks because they are coming from a well-known program. That's important in the world we live in. As a software in and of itself, SurveyMonkey seems like one could get some in-depth knowledge from using such an application. Cons It is more of a cosmetic issue -- I wish it looked prettier. It was a good enough experience that it caused me to explore the different pricing plans and features for business use cases, in which there are a lot of options available there too. Just a good survey tool that does what you'd expect, and in some cases more. Other bonuses include a mobile app, and lots of different styles/templates of surveys to choose from. Cons The only downside to the free version of Survey Monkey is that you can't remove branding, but in most cases that isn't a problem. If it is, you can easily upgrade to a paid plan and get all the benefits that come with that. It makes it easy to take and make surveys. Pros I use SurveyMonkey to not only take surveys but also make surveys. The interface is easy to use and you are able to examine and analyze your data. Cons There are really no major cons of SurveyMonkey. The only con is that to access some features like analyzing your data and examining it costs money.
