By knowing more about the people on my list I can market to them more effectively moving forward. Pros What I like most about SurveyMonkey are the ability to use it for free and the ease of survey customize ability. Cons The 100 responses per survey per month for the free plan has deterred me from deploying more SurveyMonkey surveys in the wild. The problem I have with transitioning to a paid user of SurveyMonkey is as a Solopreneur I only deploy surveys occasionally so it is hard for me to justify the monthly expense for a tool I may not use for months at a time. If there was a way to pre-pay for survey response bandwith I would be interested in that payment option. Something like $19.99 for 1,000 survey responses is a pricing option I am interested in, even though I can potentially get 1,000 survey responses over 10 months free. Review Source SC Stephen C. It’s really very easy to use, and provides multiple metrics we can use to analyze the results by location. We mange all club locations in Texas, so regions have different requirements. Pros Ease of use, universality, extensive metrics, popularly with survey participants. We are able to easily survey the wants, needs, and desires of our members very rapidly. Responses are generally statistically significant. Cons No significant downside. It’s easy to use and only presents challenges when complex logic is needed for response options. There are various types of questions you can ask from multiple choice to short answer and result statistics are available immediately. Cons SurveyMonkey is not a good tool for surveys obtaining private or sensitive information. It is a public platform and therefore there may be some security risk involved. They are very easy to set up, and are not complicated to respond to. Not only that, you can filter responses to exclude people you do not need to answer your survey. This especially helps when compiling data and attempting to compare a project and improve accuracy. It ensures no one is wasting time, and we are getting the correct responses needed for our research. On top of that, drop down menus and more make this easy to ensure you are getting correct responses, rather than a bunch of responses that could be typo'd. Cons Costs can add up quickly. I think if you are a student and using this for research, it's best to look elsewhere for a free survey site. It is ultra user friendly and loaded with tons of survey templates, which makes my job tons easier. What is even better is that templates can be customized, allowing my edit the questions to my liking or even removing the ones that I don't need. Lastly, I can export data into a number of other different software packages. Cons The basic version is severely limited. This has supported my research studies dealing with people's attitudes towards a certain trend. Pros The anonimity of a user allows for an unbiased and honest opinions and feedback which is a profusely helpful for the surveyor Cons The maximum number of questions you can ask in a free version should be pushed to at least 20. We have monthly feedback sessi im ns and this is a great way to reach alot of people and get a consensus of how they feel about the given topic. Cons Occasionally it can come of cluttered, and to people who dont use it regularly it can even seem like just an annoying ad. To make it better it just needs a more professional appearance. November 5, 2020 5.0 SurveyMonkey allowed me to create very user-friendly detailed surveys for a training department at a large university. We used these surveys with each class we offered so we became quite familiar with the software. The results were easy to tally and surveys were easy to repurpose. Pros I've used SurveyMonkey several times in the past and I loved it due to its ease-of-use and clean interface. I was able to create very detailed surveys with limited training. SurveyMonkey was self-expanatory for the most part. Cons The only drawback I'd say would be that I'd need to contact customer service to walk me through a few very detailed surveys. I've used it to set up free surveys on everything from casual polls for friends and peers to creating research questions for serious business projects. There's pretty much no limit to the amount of questions you can set up with it with the paid account, but even the free version still offers a lot of capabilities. The paid version allows you a greater degree of analysis of the survey results. Cons The two most advanced plans do have a lot more capabilities, including the ability to export results to SPSS for statistical analysis. But I did not initially notice that the stated monthly rate required being billed for the whole year in advance, making it much more expensive than I expected. Review Source Jose L. All I had to do was select the options on the survey questions, and it created a helpful survey for me to share and gather feedback. One feature I enjoy the most is that it allows you to filter your audience as it knows wether to let the respondent to continue or not based on their answers. Overall, wonderful tool that gathers information and is helpful for the survey creator. Cons Not many complaints, only complaint is that the free version is pretty limited compared to the paid versions. It's a very intuitive platform an even the most novice user can use it. So easy to make your surveys! Cons Since this is a free product, I think it comes with some limitations. I like that it is cloud base and very easy to use (for us and our customers). Very easy to setup different questions for different audiences. Cons I personally have not found anything that I don't like about SurveyMonkey. Very user friendly and easy tracking.
