It's a great tool to get answers and quantify the results quickly. I love being able to see the details in the reports, as a visual person, it's my favorite part of seeing the results. Pros Easy to set up. Easy to create and edit your survey/form and share it with your team, etc. Walk you through the steps and shows different ways to create your survey/form. Cons There is nothing I felt it was lacking or needing improvement - I have been using Survey Monkey for many years now and it's easy to get started and figure out the details. Even if you don’t qualify 9 times in a row they will keep trying to link you up to one. Cons The amount of surveys I don’t qualify for is the source of my frustration with SurveyMonkey. Now don’t get me wrong I understand that this is not solely their fault. However I do know that I qualify for more than half of the surveys I apply to do on any other site or app. The particularly irritating thing is that survey monkey doesn’t just asking you for information about yourself to better match you with a survey. It just lazily plops you with whatever’s next of the list. Every other software of the same purpose as SurveyMonkey has this feature. This route is exhausting and the payout doesn’t make it particularly worth it. Pros SurveyMonkey has to be the number one survey tool out there. You have the ability to create very complex surveys with different types of questions... multiple choice, rating, rank, etc. You can require certain question to be mandatory or dependent on answering a previous question. You can integrate into email campaigns, social media sites, and beyond. It is like the cool uncle/ divorced dad of survey software. Who wants to attend Friday’s feee lunch and beer? Who wants to volunteer for events? I always look forward to those emails from our team. I wish they could improve the print functionality; meaning, everything should be able to be compiled on to one page instead of multiple pages. Pros Our company used SurveyMonkey to administer a Parks and Recreation survey to a community of 6k. Administering the survey online was a piece of cake; however, trying to produce a physical copy of the survey was not fun! Cons Building out the survey format and/or editing the template was time consuming. We are based in a retirement community and had to make sure the survey was not confusing. It's an effective, user-friendly and free platform that allows me to ask a variety of questions, implement logic rules to skip or ask further questions, and review all my survey responses in one convenient place. Their survey builder makes it easy for anyone to jump right in, and their support resources make it that much easier! Cons There's not much to dislike with SurveyMonkey. However, to reiterate, I use SurveyMonkey in the context of my volunteer organization -- and their high prices for the work plans have been a bit of an obstacle for us. Review Source RD R. Pros Survey monkey is so intuitive and easy to use! I have used it on several occasions and love how easy it is to then pull data from the surveys that you compile. It gives you a quick snap shot of everyone's responses and is very easy to use. Cons I can't really think of anything that I like least about the software. Overall, the tool was very complete and a great platform for our surveys. the main issue we had was the complexity of the tool and the lack of options to properly manage all different customer feedback programs via it. Pros This tool have all features you can imagine for electronic surveys. Cons During the time my company experienced this tool, there were many separate accounts used by different parts of my organization, with little to non orchestration among the accounts. Pros I still remember the ease with which I sent out my first survey with this program; it was so quick and easy! With what felt like only a few clicks, I had a link to send to my email list. The link led to my three-question survey, designed by SurveyMonkey with clean graphics and a very appealing interface. Because the company is viewed as very safe by my clients, I had a 90% click-thru the first time. It has only gotten better from there. Cons My complaint isn't really a complaint, but I suppose I'll mention that there appear to be advanced features on SurveyMonkey that I can't quite understand. I obviously don't need these features, so I even feel bad writing this. But SurveyMonkey appear to those of us who need responses quickly, succinctly, and with a link to a trusted source. SurveyMonkey does this 'simplicity' very well, and I may not be the target audience for its advanced options. Review Source Susan M. In my opinion they shouldn't bother having a free version of this software if it functions that poorly. Pros Survey Monkey is easy to configure the various questions and it is very convenient that you can choose the format of the answers and whether to make it optional or required. Cons I was dismayed at the reporting on the free version. I needed to see how many participants were coming to a meeting. When I got the answers back it said "Respondent 1, Respondent 2, etc." That's all fine, but do you think I could get the names of those respondents so I could send the Zoom links? I had to resend the entire survey again with "Name" as one of the required questions. Of course no one wanted to do it twice, so it failed miserably. Reason for choosing SurveyMonkey I have only ever used Survey Monkey, so I didn't consider another. I think I will investigate now though. Review Source SR Shikha R. It is very easy to share and to use. However some features could be improved upon to enhance its efficiency. Pros It is very easy to use and intuitive. It didn’t take me long to figure how to create new forms/documents. Though the name implies use in surveys, it is a useful platform for creating multiple choice assignments, quizzes and exams especially if the course is online. It is very easy to share and to control settings. Cons It is a little cumbersome if you want to make different versions of the same assignment or exam, for example by jumbling up the order of the options for all the questions. It would be very useful if survey monkey would offer the option of creating different version of a test by jumbling up the order of both the questions and options. This should be automated along with the answer key so you don’t have to create separate answer key for each version. Review Source KJ Karie J. Cons I don’t that like sometimes the software will tell me that I’m eligible for this survey when I’m not or that the time has run out and it’s too late to take that survey. It's easy to both create, respond to and analyse. It doesn't require to sign up, which encourages people to participate, and allows for open replies, as well as numeric, multiple choices, etc. Plus, there's a free option, which is great for small non-profit of for starters. Cons none that I remember. Maybe it would be nice to have a definition of each setup, so to immediately understand immediately what setup you need for your question, but it's nothing that you can't figure out after a few minutes. I got to see both aspects Of putting together a survey as well as doing one and they make it so easy to collect data Pros I loved how easy this was to use. I had applications that had to be filled out for an organization I belong to and we just sent these out and we received our feedback in a fast and easy way.
