We use track the applications' performance and logs and to identify issues and find their root cause . Pros Splunk APM is a fast and efficient tool even when collecting large numbers of logs and data and correlating them. It is effective for real time monitoring and root cause analysis of our apps important for creating real-time reports and alerts. We can easily search logs by just using key words and it will display all related logs in seconds. Cons The first few times, It was tough to know how to view the detailed Splunk log when trying to expand a service call. We deal with a lot of apps with massive amounts of data that need constant monitoring to ensure their security. Splunk APM effectively monitors our daily activities so as to get rid of any bottlenecks. Pros It keeps a real time track of all our data and app without fail and gives notifications incase of anything suspicious. With Splunk APM detecting and troubleshooting the root of issues is much faster. It collects logs and data collects from different sources providing a single plane for troubleshooting. Cons If only it could integrate with other third party analysis tools to provide integrated analysis results on applications. We integrated it with our internal trace system for optimum collection and correlation of data from various sources. Splunk APM has offered us great insights that have helped improve our operational efficiencies. Pros It the best tool for tracking the logs and activity of an application. Splunk APM offers us automatic context and view into apps. It has AI troubleshooting that ensures faster root cause analysis in case of operational issues enabling faster resolution. We can easily search, monitor, collect, and analyze data from different applications. Cons It takes close to a minute to load the splunk logs for each trace. So I would appreciate if the logs for all the traces loaded before. It is generally slow when loading some features.
