This is the main reason I use it, but it is far from it's only feature. Pros I use Transmit 5 to sync client files from my MacBook to multiple cloud storage locations, making it easy to manage files for my team. The “sync” option is super intuitive and clearly shows what files will be created, overwritten, or modified. I found it to be more user-friendly than some competitor apps. Cons The lack of multi-panel file transfer windows or built-in terminal support limits its versatility for more complex file management. These are just features that I wished Transmit had. Switched from [OneDrive](https://www.capterra.com/p/161304/OneDrive/) Resource hog on my Macbook Pro M1, and I always had a suspicion that it was performing some background tasks that was causing issues on my machine. Finally it is a file manager for 21 century. Fast, modern, simple and bundled with lots of useful features. Pros Transmit is a simple file manager which provides a nice and modern interface. Everything is smooth with this app. I love the performance when uploading files to the SFTP server. It allows multiple connections. It also provide feature where you can mirror remote folder to folder on your disk. Servers can be easily backed up. Cons Some versions was a bit unstable and crashed sometimes. We've used it in professional site and app development for years - since the first version. Other FTP apps like CyberDuck, Win SCP, CuteFTP and FileZilla pale in comparison to Transmit. Pros Transmit is a fast, easy to use FTP client with a host of features.Setting up news sites is a breeze and the app offers multiple connection methods - SFTP, FTP, Amazon S3, WebDav, BOX, Google Drive, Azure, and more!The UI is well laid out, intuitive and easy to use.Transfers are fast and there are options to sync directories as your browse as well as sync file transfers / folders Cons It's not free :)The only issue we've ever had with Transmit was in the beginning, maybe version 3 or so, when it wouldn't connect consistently. They fixed is quickly and pushed out an update.. nothing since then! I use a handful of protocols in very different situations but the application has always been reliable, fast and easy to use, although with a lot of more advanced features at hand in case they’re needed.
