### "Really good but with a learning curve"

Overall, my experience with Fuel50 has been very positive. It really boosts internal mobility and makes career planning feel personal and achievable. While there’s a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, especially when it comes to managerial oversight, the platform does a great job of connecting employees with the right opportunities and making everyone feel valued.

Pros

Fuel50 has Friendly design that puts career growth front and center. It feels like the platform was built with people in mind—its personalized career pathing and tailored development plans make it easy to spot opportunities within the company. Plus, the clean, visually appealing interface and supportive team make navigating it a breeze.

Cons

setting up Fuel50 can be a bit overwhelming because there's so much to customize. Some features, like the employee assessments and job experience sections, can feel overly detailed and a bit clunky. As a manager, I also wish there was better visibility into team skills and more intuitive reporting to help keep track of development.

### "Demo-ing Now"

So far so go. only a week into playing with the demo.

Pros

Just getting started with exploring the platform, so far it seems to have what I was looking for in 1 place. Learning how it will integrate with our other platforms.

Cons

Still figuring everything out, so I'm not sure yet on this one.

### "Onerous"

Pros

The layout is easy on the eye, and it's easy enough to navigate

Cons

The screeds and screeds of questions and competencies, it became inane, onerous and boring. It felt like I was made to sit down and rate my competencies across 1000s of skills and then it just spits it back out at you to tell you what you've said. Therefore I find this onerous exercise rather useless. It's just not a "smart" system.

### "Highly Configurable Skills Engine"

Very good platform as a skills engine in a larger HRIS/Training Ecosystem from our experience.

Pros

Context for our use is a partner in an HRIS and Learning Ecosystem where we needed a very solid skills engine. It fit that need very well and was highly configurable to our specific use cases which were diverse and complex.

Cons

I think the platform itself is quite good, but a fair warning to users: you can configure something to be overly complex. Our initial offering was so complex for users (despite a quite usable UX/UI from F50 itself) that many users abandoned partway through.

Pros

Fuel 50 facilities career conversations that enable managers to understand their employee’s values, motivators and talents. These conversations in turn increase employee engagement, productivity, innovation and loyalty.

Cons

You need to ensure that managers are engaged at the point of roll out.

### "If you build it!"

The adoption and implementation team was superb. The HR team was very small when we began this process and has limited resources. The Fuel50 team walked us through everything needed to get up and running with a career pathway tool customized for our organization. Customer support post launch has remained as impressive. (I've typically seen one or the other from systems vendors, but Fuel50 boasts both!)

Pros

I was in the process of building a career pathway database for my organization. When my head of IT introduced me to Fuel50, I was thrilled to learn they had already done the work and deployed this beautiful, user-friendly tool to illustrate career journeys.

Cons

Fuel50 focuses on the employee, which is great, but for an organization to best benefit from the solution, it will be important for managers to have more visibility into how an employee is being assessed by themselves and their peers and what competencies are missing to get to the next level. The tool currently doesn't allow managers to retrieve that explicit information.

Great team to work with,listening to our needs and work with us every step away as our business and management changed.

Pros

The easablility, the talent assessments and the resources for Managers to have career conversations.

Cons

Some of the challenges integrating to our systems and uploads,the administration for our resources,no having all of the capabilities for our business needs. However,that will probably change as they create and update other modules.

Reason for choosing Fuel50

Perfect for our business needs at the time and a cost effective solution for our organization.

Pros

I really love the Fuel50 platform. It's user friendly, it's a great concept, visually pleasing. We struggled with our implementation because of our preparedness, not Fuel50.

Cons

I asked about adding experience from former organizations and it was not possible unless that same job was set up to be used in our instance of Fuel50. I would have loved to have been able to see what roles, experience, and skills employees had outside of their experience with our organization.

Pros

We are still in progress for finalizing and getting everything synced into Fuel50 for our company. So far, I have explored around the pages and I love how interactive it is. It makes getting to know yourself more fun and takes you to your career path in a more exploratory journey. Also love the resources page, it is a great way to help you stay motivated and gives you a better idea of what you want out of your career. Excellent!

Cons

So far, there is nothing that I least like about this software.

### "Simply based on my own humble experience..."

Fairly useful at start (assessment), but then limited insights, I find

Pros

The personal assessment tools (e.g. values and motivators at work). I found this very easy (almost like a game), fast and insightful.

Cons

I think that the recommendations about potential future jobs do not provide any new insights, when people only have one or two jobs in their career path description. I strongly believe that it is important for people to inclulde all their jobs, even those from former companies. This is not really possible for people starting their career though.
