Five stars! I have three properties that I had with a different PMS where I was looking for support primarily with Airbnb/VRBO and a Direct Booking website. Overall, this site was easy to set up and to link my properties. I used the two week trial to set up my communication templates as I had upcoming reservations. Importing the properties took just a few minutes - admittedly I had researched ahead of time how to property disconnect them from my former PMS before connecting via Hostex. The software, like any, had a wee bit of a learning curve, but it was easier to learn than my last one and more dynamic. The chat feature has worked well for me to get answers to my various questions - at times they also include screen shots which is AWESOME! One of my gripes of my former PMS is that if something went wrong, you weren't notified by the system - it was something you just figured out and had to notify them. Not with Hostex! The log feature is great - not only am I notified if something didn't work or link up, it's documented in the log so I can check here too - genius! Given that the log existed, I was more comforable in allowing the system to program/set up the lock codes for my guests - AWESOME!! The direct book website isn't the most dynamic but it gets the job done and mine is fully automated - from the confirmation message, payment collection, lock codes, and the thank you message! I do wish that there was a bit more functionality here as I feel it is limited with regard to adding house rules (you need to currently add them to the description - which makes for a LONG description). Overall I'm very happy with this system and look forward to many, many years with them!

Pros

\- Handles all messaging! - Pricing is excellent - a great value for the money! - No fee on direct bookings! - Communicates automatically to my cleaners / handyman - Love that I can view the log - Love that the system communicates when something didn't go as planned - Love that VRBO is api-connected but VRBO still handles the payments - Love that it can program my doorlocks

Cons

\-Currently no text message option to guests -Direct booking website isn't very dynamic (and if a discount is given to a guest it still charges tax on the original, non-discounted amount) - No true location to add house rules on the direct book website -When a new message is added to the system, the system won't apply it to existing reservations, just the new ones. Although if you change an existing message, it WILL allow you to apply it to 'only new' or 'existing and new' reservations - The system can currently only program one lock automatically - would love to have the option for it to do a second lock - I wish it offered 'quick reply' templates via the inbox. I don't currently use the AI feature as early on it responded with the wrong reply - I wish it had the option to turn off messages on check in or out days if desired

Overall, my experience with Hostex is positive and the platform covers the main needs of day-to-day property management. It is reliable enough to use in production and saves time on routine tasks, thanks to its user-friendly design and strong support. However, improving the Vrbo integration and fixing the message routing and permissions in the inbox would significantly enhance the product and make it a stronger solution for larger or more complex teams.

Pros

The platform is very user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to learn and use for daily operations. I especially like how simple it is to configure properties and connect them to major OTAs, which speeds up onboarding new listings. The communication with the support team is excellent; they respond quickly and are very willing to help with setup, questions, or troubleshooting.

Cons

The connection with Vrbo is quite complex compared to other OTAs and is not very straightforward to configure, so this part definitely needs improvement and clearer workflows. The OTA messaging management also needs work, because different users sometimes receive messages from properties they should not have access to, which creates confusion and possible privacy issues for the team.

Pros

Comprehensive channel manager, with all the functionalities you can expect. Hostex can be used on computer or on smartphone. It is as efficient as costly alternatives.

Cons

\- The check-in guide is in English only. Some travellers tend to "check out" while they think they are just providing information.

Hostex has been indispensable in managing our vacation rental properties. The channel manager seamlessly syncs calendars across Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, and other OTAs, preventing double bookings. The automated messaging module sends personalized check-in instructions and review requests, saving us time. We also appreciate the unified inbox and ability to manage pricing, cleaning tasks, and guest reviews from one platform. Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable.

Cons

The user interface could be more modern, and customizing email templates is somewhat limited. Some advanced automation features require the Pro plan, which may not be cost-effective for very small portfolios. Reports could also offer more customization.

Efficient and clear manager. Offers more than Smoobu for a fraction if the price. Easy to change rates, ratios, down payments. Great interface on phone, pad and computer. Gets the job done.

Cons

Lacks possibilities to create special rates at specific dates and easy offers on website plugin, for direct rentals. Not a dealbreaker but would be a plus.

Pros

I have been searching for a PMS which would cover my needs. I needed a solution which would allow me to automate my work with 2 platforms (Booking.com and Airbnb) while being able to integrate more platforms, collecting online the documents from the guests and having everything under control without paying much. Hostex is the service I chose from all other services. While other services charge 3-4 times the price, they have non-existent document collection or not the type I wanted and very few options of booking services. Hostex, on the other hand, provides check-in form including the document collection and has 11 booking services that you can integrate (including Google Vocation Rentals) plus additional services like Pricelabs and Rategenie to make the pricing easier. Plus, they have free API! I have been using Hostex since around May-June 2025 and there were not issues regarding reservation synchronization. When I had issues, support would help me resolve the issue within a day! I highly recommend this service!

Cons

The automations more limited compare to Guesty, for instance, but they are sufficient. Also, the Check-in guide design is a bit outdated and the editing is strict and limited but it works for me.

Mon expérience globale avec Hostex est très positive. Le logiciel est intuitif, fiable et fait exactement ce qu’on attend de lui : centraliser les échanges, automatiser les messages et fluidifier la gestion au quotidien. Résultat : moins de charge mentale, moins d’erreurs, plus de temps et une expérience voyageur beaucoup plus pro. C’est un outil pensé pour ceux qui veulent scaler sans s’épuiser.

Pros

Utiliser Hostex, c’est clairement jouer en mode malin . Centralisation des messages, automatisations intelligentes, gain de temps énorme et zéro prise de tête avec les voyageurs. Résultat : une meilleure expérience client, moins d’erreurs, plus de sérénité… et plus de cash à la fin du mois. Bref, je travaille moins et mieux.

Cons

Inconvénients : aucun. Honnêtement, quand un outil te fait gagner du temps, sécurise tes échanges, automatise ton business et t’évite des erreurs… on cherche encore le défaut. Hostex fait le taf, point.

I’ve only been using it for a few weeks, but the tool is incredibly easy to use — so intuitive — and the customer support is amazingly responsive. Honestly, my only regret is not trying it sooner! :)

Pros

Experience exceptional value for money with tons of features, great and fast customer support, and unmatched ease of use.

Cons

Everything works brilliantly, and Task Management could shine even more with customizable start times and costs for different types of automatic tasks.

Hostex staff online are super helpful with any thing I have not been sure of. Quick to reply and the booking site offers much more and more professional than previous software

Pros

Value for money, Have been using Guesty for Host which is discontinuing. Found Hostex and using, much easier to use and does everything I need to host 4 properties on Kangaroo Island South Australia.

Cons

Setting up like all software takes time, wish there was easy way to transfer properties from Guesty or other software.

Hostex ofrece una excelente relación calidad–precio. La cantidad de funciones avanzadas que incluye por el costo mensual lo convierten en una de las opciones más competitivas del mercado. Especialmente útil para quienes manejamos varias propiedades y necesitamos automatización real. La plataforma es muy intuitiva. Configurar reglas, conectar canales y ajustar automatizaciones es sencillo, incluso si nunca has usado un PMS. El panel es limpio y fácil de entender. Hasta ahora, los errores han sido mínimos. Los pequeños detalles que he encontrado se resolvieron rápido o ya estaban en mejora. Hostex es estable. La mensajería automatizada funciona perfecto. Puedes crear secuencias personalizadas por tipo de reserva, origen del huésped y más. Reduce muchísimo el trabajo manual. El calendario es claro y la sincronización con Airbnb, Booking y otros canales es muy rápida. También es muy útil poder integrar el widget de reservas directas para obtener reservas sin comisión. Incluye lo que realmente importa: automatizaciones avanzadas, mensajería, channel manager, widgets de reserva directa, integración de smartlocks, reglas condicionales, pagos y más. Es un PMS completo.

Pros

The price of the software is affordable for startups, and there is a lot of features available even for just the standard version!

Cons

There is nothing I can think of that puts you on a disadvantage using this one.
