We don't require intense customization so the product as it is works great for us. Pros Easy to view everything from metrics to aging in the Dashboard. We can see when a customer views the invoice - set payment terms and downpayments - attach messages and documents to clearly explain parameters of deposits and information the customer needs. Square has very clear reporting capability as well for aging invoices for users functioning with net 30, 60, 90 etc. Tipping can be turned on or off - and there are a lot of payment options and things to tweak. All of the data is very visible Cons Of course there are tiers - I do think that since a processor is receiving a fee - the Invoices Plus functionality would be great to include for everyone. I'm still in business and square is a part of my success. Pros I was able to integrate square with my company account and my personal account. There has never been another that was able to work this way. Cons Not to often although it did happen. The server would freeze up and be down for 20 minutes. Pros I absolutely LOVE Square Invoices!!! It makes my business so much easier. Having all of my invoices in one place without all the extra settings of Square is so amazing. Cons I don’t have too much that I don’t like about Square Invoices. Maybe that I don’t understand how to add a discount. Anytime I try to add a discount, it adds it as an item. There are plenty of payment options to offer your customers, from your credit and debit card to ACH deposit saving you some money on processing fees. Using templates for different services offered to help streamline your workflow is a favorite of mine. Pros I love the simpicity and ease of use of Square Invoices. The amount of features that are baked into the invoices is a nice touch giving you a professional feel at a free to minimal price point. Cons The only thing I wish for is slightly more customization (custom colors to flow with branding) to e able to add to my invoices. Pros When I first started using the Square platform for my Photography business, it was the best payment processing and invoicing because it was all in one place. It is convenient that they have payment reminder for the customer before, during, or after payment is due. It has been a fairly easy, although simple program, it integrates well with our Quickbooks program as well. Pros The invoicing in convenient and it is free. You can also link it with other apps, like Quickbooks. This makes it convenient to transfer data. Cons The invoice customization is lacking. So there aren’t a lot of options to give your invoices the vibe you may want to have. I repair computers, sometimes I don't have an accurate idea of what could be wrong until I diagnose the problem. Once I do, I can contact the customer, quote them, and then if they agree, I send an invoice straight to their phone or email and they can pay quickly and securely. There are lots of options, a few are behind paywalls, but if you just need to send invoices and you want to give your customers lots of ways to pay, Square Invoices is it. Pros What I like most about Square Invoices is the ability to give customers many options to choose from, like Apple/Google Pay, Cashapp, ACH, or just plain old credit/debit. Cons If I had to choose what I like the least about Square Invoices, is that is does cost a bit more in fees when a customer pays. To compensate, i have to charge my customers a small fee if they want to use a credit cars instrad if cash. We can also send the invoice in whatever format the customers prefer (text, email, and print) and take multiple payment types. And the reporting makes it very easy to see what's coming up, overdue, or paid. Pros I love that I can easily convert our restaurant/bar tabs to invoices or have customers pay their invoice through our point of sale. It makes it so easy to keep track of orders and accounts receivable. The invoices look professional and can be sent via text, email or printed out. Cons I don't have any issues with the product, I have been using it for 3 years with no issue. It is easy to use, and they only take a small fee. Pros The thing I liked most about Square invoices is that you can allow clients to set recurring payments. Also, love that Square accepts Bitcoin now. Cons The thing that I liked least about Square Invoices is that when you send a recurring invoice, the sending can not set it to autopay. And the transaction fees are not always something to look forward to as a business owner trying to gain and grow their customer base. Pros The fact I can continue an invoice from any device that has access to the square account and also use two-factor authentication so that I don't have unauthorized users in the platform. Plus I can add specific details of work being done and also images and signed documents within the same invoice. Cons I don't like how it's gated in the full capacity it can offer such as offering contracts and also adding additional fields to your invoice for the customer. I could also get referral bonuses if I referred someone to Square but it takes a while to get used to. During the pandemic, I doubt people were going to use Square as much as they used to because you have to use your hands to click on everything and navigate the websites on the screen. It was a great experience using them when I made purchases at the store. It was popular for small businesses to switch to Square. Pros I like how I was provided the square tool to attach to my phone in order for credit cards to be swiped. I used to keep it on my phone when I would sell my products and customers wanted to pay with debit or credit card. It was easy to use. It was a trend back in 2015-2018 and I wanted to order my credit card kit with the tablet. I also used Square to keep a track of all the purchases customers made toward my product. I created invoices, kept a record of my hired employees, and had a record of all the purchases people made toward my products. Cons The product was great to attach to my iphone but as iphones started to change in design, I could no longer use the Square tool that was given to me. When I switched to an iphone 7, I couldn't use the tool anymore. I had to buy different types of earphones and products to attach to my new iphone. The design for Square didn't change as much so it was hard to connect it to the phone to store my new data. Customers still were using credit cards but I couldn't have the credit cards swiped on my phone anymore. Paypal always requires a password to be remembered on the computer and Paypal doesn't offer anything for free. Paypal does have the credit card option to be able to use it at the stores while Square doesn't offer credit cards. Faster and more convenient than ever before, now you can do it all online. Pros About a year ago, I started using Square Invoices, and I couldn't be happier with the service. I send out electronic invoices to my clientele, who can then pay via credit card processing; the platform also lets me list my wares and monitor stock levels. What I have done thus far has been fantastic. Cons I need the ability to create and save several different invoice variations. It would be great if I didn't have to keep switching back and forth between tabs to update the two or three problems I usually have to deal with.
