I love having a one stop shop for all my financial and reporting needs. I'm a right brained social worker and compliance is not where I like to focus my time! Crowded does it all. So grateful for this service. Truly.

Pros

I LOVE the simplicity and interface of Crowded! It absolutely mimics the other online banking services I use. I LOVE that Crowded services small non profits. Mine is REALLY grassroots so every single dollar really matters. Crowded has kept its fees manageable and sustainable for very small organizations such as mine. The ability to create Collections is the BEST! So easy to send a link to a specific fundraising event or goal

Cons

I wish the link for the collection showed my thumbnail created for the collection. I have to explain a little too much as people think they're signing up for a service

After 40+ years as a non-profit executive, I've finally found the solution to banking challenges! This is a simple, elegant, so far flawless product that meets the needs of our small non-profit. I can rehearse horror stories over my many years of working with conventional banks that had little or no knowledge or interest in the peculiarities of non-profits, but Crowded is the diametric opposite of that experience. Thank you Crowded for getting us!

Pros

Simple, easy, and quick to navigate. Simple to establish an account. No attempts to upcharge or upgrade services.

Cons

So far, I've found nothing to complain about with this product. I am pleased with every element of it, from its technical design to its aesthetics to its menu of services!

To deposit a check, the camera takes 2 mins to take a picture, fix the app. I’m surprised u don’t charge to deposit, I have like 100 checks and takes hours to deposit if the app works, takes 10x that now

Nothing I can say is good, it has over sight for the dental organization and that’s it, worst fees and inconvenient, no actual bank and no benefit

Cons

Everything is negative, u charge for everything,no physical checks and fees, get me a card and u charge banks and i can’t use the actual card

I am very disappointed. It is a big hassle if I have cash that needs to be deposited. There are no local ATM that allow cash deposits which requires me have to purchase a cashiers check

The app is user friendly. It was easy to set up and easy to navigate. Customer service responds quickly.

Iwas trying to find an online bank that would be convenient for all our foundation needs. Very easy to use

Overall it is a positive experience. I have been an Iota for 20 years, and this is one of the best financial tools we have ever used.

Pros

Crowded has allowed us to ensure we have accurate record keeping. We can take care of dues payments, as well as ensure event tickets, and donations are all in one place.

Cons

It was a bit of a learning curve to use initially. I also wish it were better integrated in our internal Fraternal systems.

Pretty simple to use, the ability to issue expense cards to any contact, and easy to track cash inflows and outflows.

Cons

No phyisical check books, fees for transfers. I write a good amount of checks for my organization and would love a checkbook for my account.

Pros

I really enjoy the flexibility of the platform. Everything is pretty user friendly. The features that are going to be of most benefit to our organization are easy dues collections, as well as easy account ownership transfers. I also like the fact that the Essentials plan doesn't have a flat fee to use it. There are only costs to certain activities that are based on use, such as if you need physical debit cards or the merchant fees associated with taking payments.

Cons

Some of the desired features, such as sub-accounts and recurring payments, are only offered on the pro plan.

Very easy to use. As long as you have all the documentation. Very fast and easy to set up. Able to get debit cards issued for Admin, per diem and single use.

Pros

It is super easy to use and is packed with help in use. Create donation campaigns, links provided, just copy/paste where you need them.

Cons

I really do not see any cons at this time. Everything was so fast and easy. Setting up a donation campaign using AI to assist is a breeze!

I have liked the experience so far, we just switched over around a month ago and the switching process we used from LegFi to Crowded made the experience easy with the use of customer support.

Pros

Value for money, Customer support, payments, reliability, ease of use, the people that set up booths at conventions.

Cons

If the app was a little more based around showing the active balance of members instead of showing the entirety of collections, it would be a tad more centralized.

Amazing experience with Crowded and I highly recommend them to anyone running a charitable cause or campaign.

Pros

Crowded offers exceptional support and simplifies our accounting while keeping it well-organized and segregated. Our teams operate more efficiently with features like physical per diem cards and digital cards, ultimately reducing barriers in our projects.

Cons

While Crowded is outstanding, I do wish the donation collection interface for donors was more user-friendly, and that we could embed widgets on our websites. This might be for security reasons to combat fraud, but one can always hope!

Been a game-changer for me. Collecting money used to me a huge headache (tracking funds, reimbursements, reports etc.) and now it happens in a few clicks. I appreciate this platform

Pros

Crowded made collecting and spending money easy. It's nice to see everything all in one place (banking/payments/report) so you don't need to juggle spreadsheets or chase down receipts. The setup was straightforward and their support team is always super quick to help. I'm sure the founder has a background in non-profits by the way it was built.

Cons

It took me a bit to get used to how the sub-accounts and permissions work, but once I figured it out it was easy.

Crowded is very user friendly, easy to use.the features to add new people and subtract are easy. New notices come to you when money is addded and spent. Great product!

Cons

Not as many tutorials as I liked. When I needed to know what was the best way to do something, I watched videos but would of like to call someone and ask specific questions about how was best to do something.

Using crowded has been a huge boost to our operations. Let's us use our time in other manners than distributing money or arranging team meals.

Pros

Crowded makes distributing per diem to our athletes a breeze. Instead of having to count and distribute cash we can set the amounts and send them across our program with the click of a button! The virtual debit card makes using the money easy as well!

Cons

not many drawbacks here. We have had some issues with purchases being rejected when they are over the amount left on the card. Not an impossible fix with splitting checks and other items.

Our overall experience with Crowded has been around 3 stars. The app is confusing to use, support isn't helpful, but we still get our program based banking so we can't exactly switch to anywhere else.

Pros

I love the fact that Crowded allows my non-profit to seperate funds via programs - no other bank does this.

Cons

The thing I least like about Crowded is the paywall behind almost every feature. Currently, our organization does not pay for per diem accounts (we are grandfathered in), however, if we want more accounts we have to upgrade to Pro (which is a ridiculous amount of money).

The sheer fact that this system saved me a tremendous amount of time and did away with the angst of last minute requests made it worth it ten-fold.

Pros

The platform was an amazing time saver - the process for sports team's meal money went from two weeks to 1 day.

Cons

The learning curve as there was no "manual". It was more or less hands on learning. That being said, customer service was there to answer any questions.

The stafff is super accessible when I have questions and the app is pretty straight forward to use. I also love having a credit card directly connected to my account.

Cons

It’s difficult to get a physical version of the credit card which can make it harder to use money at events that don’t take Apple Pay.

Crowded has been an incredible asset to our business, especially in managing the unique demands of our seasonal operations. Their platform has made payroll seamless, helping us onboard and pay staff efficiently during our busiest times. In addition, their integrated credit card processing has allowed us to easily collect payments from customers, streamlining transactions and improving our overall cash flow. With Crowded, we’ve been able to focus more on delivering a great experience and less on administrative headaches.

It has been frustrating. Depositing checks only on the app is frustrating and the address thing. It is about 50/50

Pros

What I like the most about crowded is it is pretty easy to use and the app is very convenient to use.

Can only issue and deposit checks on the phone app. we have to use my physical home address because you wouldn't accept our actual po Box.

I really like this platform a lot! It helps me to keep our association's records straight, and Oren Shalita has been a godsend as I learn the Crowded account!

Pros

It is an excellent tool for financial reporting. Accuracy is on point, logging in is easy, leaving little room for error.

Cons

Learning all the processes and what's available is a bit hard. I also think we need a bit better response time from your reps, because it's all by email and a bit time consuming.

What started off as a good company for a nonprofit has become a nightmare. The service has some great features and I wish I can say they outweigh the issues with the operations of the company but they don't. Messing with a non-profits money, not knowing how to handle fraud and double billing the nonprofit all while taking a week or more to resolve each makes it not worth the time of our origination. Paying processing fees though a local bank where we get same day resolution for issues like fraud and more is worth not having to spend days teaching a banking tech company how to do their job. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. The fact they are wanting customers to pay $65 per month for "Pro" Plan is ridiculous. There are other companies you can link to an actual bank and get the same services for free. plus their "Priority 24/7 customer service" is with a company they must contract with who really can't help. They always say they have past it onto the team and then you hear back once a day until they figure out what to do to help. We had both the essential (free) plan and the paid pro plan but saw no difference in service. To top it all off you will never be able to talk to anyone. Our account with Crowded is remaining open while we make sure all fundraising companies have our new banking information and then it will be closed.

Pros

Great tools for fundraising and easy to understand set up. We really liked the option of digital cards and per-diem card.

Cons

Customer service is ridiculous. We had fraudulent charges and they didn't know how to handle them. We had to talk to Visa, the charter bank and then Crowded again to explain what they needed to do. It still took over a week. They gave us free access to the $65 per month Pro plan which includes 24/7 support. We had an issue and it still took a week to resolve. You are can NEVER talk to anyone. Email only and whoever they hired to run the email is not who actually helps you fix the issues you may have so you get an email a day, if you're lucky, even if you reply right away to them about a question. They also froze our account for an unpaid invoice that they never sent. It was a net 30 charge and our accounting never got the invoice. To top it off, we could only pay the invoice with our account which was frozen. We had to explain to them that we are unable to pay with a frozen account. Once they unfroze the account and we were able to pay what we were told we owed (still did not get an invoice after asking 10 times over a week timeframe), they left the account alone. 5 day after that they finally send the invoice but then "auto charge" us for the same invoice. Problem after problem
