Pros The ease of use and how much time its saved my department in end of month reconciliations. The AI features are really helping to automate tasks. Cons There is noting I do not like about Budgetly at all. It has saved me so much time and resources. I love everything about it. Pros The product has made it far easier and more scalable to manage personnel expenses, especially with temporary cards, limit changes and a combined pool to manage between the team allowing swift access when needed opposed to waiting for bank transfers. Cons I would like the app to have more of the administrator features of the web portal, allowing for greater flexibility with requests on the go. Whenever I have a question, one of their staff is always available to help. Pros Budgetly is very user friendly and easy to administer. My staff find it easy to manage in terms of uploading receipts. I like how I can create budgets and have full visibility over their spend. Cons No, I haven't had any problems or issues with it at this stage. It has worked for everything we need it for. Every time that we have questions and we suggest any new function, they always listen and make it happen. Pros Before Budgetly, everything was done manually. Now we just hand over the Budgetly data and it's done. It's saved a lot of time and made the whole process much easier. Also, one of my favourite things is the BPay function. Cons For the first couple of times, it wasn't easy. We didn't know all the functions and some of the figures were confusing at first. Once we figured it out though, it went smoothly. Phone support is all free but it's easy to use and figure out. I can bulk action literally anything in the new transaction interface. Literally saves me hours on a Friday afternoon. Pros I don't have to chase receipts anymore. I can issue cards in about 10 seconds. I can foward 20 bills from my email and it auto extracts and pays them. My contractors can only spend money when i say they should be able to. The benefits are endless. Cons I want more AI and they're building more and more by the day. Their bookkeeper agent sounds like a huge step into the future. We also have more security now with our spend. Pros It's saved us a lot of time. Money is now being spent where and when it is meant to be spent. It's all tracked automatically for us now. We haven’t needed a lot of it, but Budgetly’s always very responsive when we do. Budgetly has saved at least a full day’s work every month across the teams. Pros We use this account specifically to manage all of our digital marketing (Google, Facebook etc). We have multiple brands and previously managed all of these separate brands/accounts with a shared credit card which was a nightmare to try and reconcile every month. Each brand now has their own card/budget, which has made it really easy for the marketing teams to deal with their own accounts. Cons We currently don't have access to GST automation. Allocating funds to different people in the field is simple. I like the ability to change cards between different people. Support has been super high end. Anytime you want something the answers come. Also, the level of support has been adequate. The staff are always approachable. If i have any issues, they are fixed directly. Pros The team find the cards easy to use. It's just tap and go. The accounting side of it I find easy too. It notifies you straight away when you overdraw or if it bounces. Payment into it's great. It's instant. They literally call you before you have to call them and if you have an issue, that saves so much time becase I can get it solved right then and there without emailing back and forth. Pros Love how much time it saves. The new bill payments function is amazing. Saves me so much time processing invoices. Cons Line of credit would be good but I knew that coming into the agreement. We were provided 1to1 training, customer help videos and free telephone support. We've barely needed to call since the initial training though. Pros We no longer have to do any expense claims or reimbursements. We issue cards whenever we want and all spending is controlled and tracked. Cons Only thing we've found is we still use a CC for google paid search spend. Otherwise we've been able to remove all other credit cards from the business. Each month, we were meant to fill it out with each transaction (how much, what it was for etc.), however our Accounts team usually had to chase up multiple people with missing information every month. We don't have to worry about any of that anymore Pros Given how flexible Budgetly is, users now don’t have to worry about manually filling in spreadsheets and we’ve saved a lot of time on admin work. Staff were often sharing cards etc however we don't have to worry about card security anymore. We've also saved at least a day a month in admin work. Cons I honestly can't think of anything we don't like about Budgetly. I looked into them and while doing so, found Budgetly. I liked what Budgetly did and booked in a demo. After the demo, the interface and flexibility was great so we signed up. Since moving to Budgetly, we've saved 5-10 hours per week across the business with smoother processes in place for all frontend staff using the cards as well as backend staff who had previously worked on reconciling receipts etc. Through being able to track spending across the business, we've significantly reduced overspending in our SIL houses and are now able to better incorporate budgets etc into our strategic planning for our business. Pros User-friendly platform with functionality that allows us to create what we need in existing systems. Shan in Onboarding would come back to me very quickly with personlised videos. It was so much easier seeing him do the thing and follow along. Pros 95% of our transactions are project-related, so without receipts, we couldn’t charge to the correct project/client. We can now easily see who hasn’t uploaded receipts by quickly filtering by employee, screenshot and send it out straight away. Budgetly’s saved me 10 hours per month alone, let alone what it’s saved the rest of the team! Cons I’d love a box next to a transaction to easily see if a transaction has already been synced to Xero. Budgetly offered an easy way to set this up and despite the increase in debit cards within our organisation, general overview of debit card expenditure is now even better and easier to maintain than previously through our bank. Business units are now responsible for uploading receipts and it is easy for administrators to view where the missing receipts are and to remind units to upload them.Training sessions before we commenced using Budgetly were useful as well. Plenty of time to ask questions and very responsive to our queries when we started using the debit cards. Pros Budgetly makes setting up debit cards for our business units a breeze. In a time where banks lack total customer service and make it increasingly difficult to easily establish accounts, Budgetly shows how it can be done without overburdening Finance Managers and CFOs with unnecessary from filling and by giving first class support. Cons That it not automatically integrates with MYOB Accountright. However, we were told this from the start and we understand the reasons, but still it takes precious time to transfer transactions into MYOB. Financial Controller Retail Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Budgetly has saved us 50 hours a month" August 24, 2023 5.0 We’ve definitely saved a lot of money. 50 hours saved across the month in bookkeeping fees is massive. So much easier to sync straight into Xero, the time saved is amazing. We’ve had a lot of help whenever we’ve needed it, it’s been great. Pros Our setup is a little different with Budgetly compared to a standard account. We have 5 accounts in total, one for our head office (senior leadership) and four individual stores. For the stores, each store manager had a bank card and would often pull money from the till to buy essential, smaller items. Budgetly has completely removed the operational risk by no longer having to reconcile and manage cash. It’s also a lot easier to collect and manage receipts with the app and our store staff are empowered to buy larger, ad hoc purchases with suppliers etc. Times this by 4 stores, it’s a huge help. Our head office team uses Budgetly a little differently to the stores. It’s been great for things like software subscriptions, larger purchases for maintenance for stores etc. For example, it’s very easy for our marketing team to make payments online for different services as the cards offer everything that a corporate VISA card would. The fact that it all then flows straight into Xero saves hours of admin work. Cons I’d love to be able to sync all deposits into the Budgetly account when syncing to Xero, not having to add these manually. Review Source AW Andrew W. They've simplified so much for us. Pros I looked into a lot of alternative providers, mainly through web searches. A lot weren’t designed for NFPs in mind, and a lot weren’t based in Australia. Budgetly has saved us at least 6 hours of admin work a week and barely have to chase receipts anymore. Cons I'd love to the ability to block certain merchants etc but should be able to do this in future. Being in such a regulated industry, the risk of being audited is very real, however Budgetly has solved this for us with the reporting that we can now do. Their customer service is really detailed and responsive, too. I find that some other services only send you to a website to watch videos, however Budgetly gets straight to the point which allows us to move on quickly. Pros It's easy to use and gives some responsibility back to our staff to manage their own receipts etc. Not having to chase and reconcile receipts has saved me at least a full day each month which means I can focus on more important tasks to bring money into the business. Cons There's nothing that I dislike about Budgetly, it's worked really well since we joined. Reason for choosing Budgetly Having never used Budgetly, I was intrigued to see how it would work. Being able to issue as many cards as we want without having to deal with the paperwork with the bank has been fantastic. September 14, 2023 5.0 It's so much easier to monitor funds being spent by our participants and staff. For example, we can now monitor the number of takeaway meals our participants are eating which has a positive effect on their health. The support we've received has been excellent, definitely recommend Budgetly. Pros Yes Budgetly has solved our expense management issues. It's really easy to monitor funds and where money is spent. Issuing funds is only a phone call away and everything is very quick and simple. We especially love the process of uploading receipts where no more collecting and no more scanning is needed. This means no more lost receipts. Cons Text message notifications rather than just emails would be great. Whenever we need help, Budgetly is always available and very efficient. Pros Budgetly has helped us save both money and time. With significantly better spend-control, staff no longer have access to unlimited spending and we’ve seen a reduction in general spending of roughly 40-50%. Cons We've been using Budgetly with a few of our other clients and at the moment, it's doing everything we need it to do.
