Every time I go there, I find something new to explore. Pros Everything about Night Cafe is awesome! They constantly update their models, offer tutorials, and provide numerous ways to earn extra credits. Your creations are only limited by your imagination. Night Cafe is well laid out and easy to use. Their staff is easily accessible through NC and on Facebook. Cons I tried hard to think of something, but I couldn't. I would like the ability to merge collections, but that is only a bit more icing on an already well-decorated cake. It's unfortunate considering I was convinced by others of the software's positivity. Customer support shows me the customer is a pawn and that's all. Pros Easy to make an account. AI Art Creator Arts and Crafts Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Still the AI-art site I keep coming back to" June 24, 2026 5.0 NightCafé was my first real AI-art generator site, and after trying a few others, it is still the one I keep coming back to. The first step is extremely simple. Literally as simple as typing in an idea and seeing what happens. There have been several occasions where I started with one word, got something decent from it, and then watched that branch off to who knows where. I digress. Still, there is a lot more depth once you get into it, including prompt engineering, models, templates, challenges, collections, and the community side. I generate images on a daily basis, but the amount varies quite a bit. And that is absolutely fine. I only need to generate one image a day to keep my streak going. Some days I only do the daily creation for that, then I may enter the daily challenge. Or not. Both happen, and both are fine. Other days an idea gets loose and suddenly I have made dozens of images. The daily streak and credit system help keep that habit going, but the real reason I stay is the community. The tools are strong enough to keep experimenting interesting, but the people are what make the site feel alive. It is not perfect, and the challenge voting especially can be frustrating, but overall NightCafé has been the AI-art site that actually kept me engaged long-term. I would recommend it to anyone interested in AI art generation, especially if they want more than just a generator and would also enjoy having an active community around it. Pros For me, the biggest positive is easily the community. NightCafé is not just a place where I generate images and call it done. There are people to chat with (especially channel regulars are always nice to see), learn from, help, and bounce ideas around with, mostly about AI art but... Let's just say the conversation drifts. Occasionally. I have used the site for just under 900 days, made around 35K creations, published almost 10K images, and received over 120K likes, so consider this from a long-term user rather than from someone who's just gotten there. The credit system is also pretty good. Free credits come from daily creations, daily streaks, and other site or community engagement, so regular use is possible without paying for every experiment. Even if I do have a purchased PRO account (but that is also for getting access to the better models, not just paying for generations). There is a wide range of models, from cheap ones for quick testing to more capable models that cost more but give clearly better results. Video generation is also a strong addition, even if it costs more. The new template system has been a great addition, for both making my workflow visible to other users, but also to get ideas for how to craft the prompts from other people's templates. It really works both ways. Cons There are some UI quirks, although they are relatively small, and overall the site is still easy to use. Daily challenges can also be very hit-or-miss because the voting does not always feel predictable. That can get discouraging, and I know several users who do not participate in them anymore at all. The topic of “downvoting” comes up for a reason. None of this stops me from giving NightCafé five stars, but those are the main rough edges I would mention. AI image generation was still new to me, and I had no idea what “prompting” meant or how any of it worked. I decided to start with something simple: A guy. Just an Average Joe kind of guy. What appeared on my screen looked like Picasso had gotten involved. My Average Joe guy had two faces and three arms. My immediate reaction was: "Dear God, what have I done?" My second reaction was: "Maybe I should learn how this works before blaming the software." When I came back, I had a much better understanding of what NightCafe was offering and how to use it effectively. I even knew (sort of) what I had done wrong with that first prompt. This time, the results were much more promising. My average guy actually looked human. And so began my AI journey using NightCafe to create visual concepts for film and TV projects I've written. I now generate movie posters, pitch deck artwork, scene concepts, prototype images, and other visual materials that help bring my writing to life. As someone who can't draw realistic stick figures, having access to AI image generation has taken my projects to a level I couldn't have reached on my own. I also participate in NightCafe's creative challenges, which have helped me improve my prompting skills while keeping the experience fun. Along the way, I've even managed to win a few of them.
